Disappointed. Single scoop.
Jessica A.

Bought two scoops for my son, one for me. This is what I got - and you can kind of see his two scoops are just as small. My scoop was smaller than a golf ball. $13 for this disappointment. I didn't say anything, because my son was already having a tough day and regardless of the amount, he was smiling. I'm just curious if this is the new norm. I've been in before and never had this problem.

I ordered their "official NHL team logo cake" for my birthday. They called and said they couldn't make it and I could get a refund or pick it up 2 days after the birthday party, because they would have to get it from a different store, which doesn't help me at all. Don't tell people you can make the cake, give them a pickup time 2 hours before the party then the day before, call and say you cannot make the cake. I called the employee back and she said "my manager isn't here, but I can do a refund or just write go sharks on it." This is a $44 cake, that is supposed to have the team logo on it. Now it's a $44 cake that doesn't have anything but writing on it, and I can't get it until 2 days after the birthday party. Very unprofessional and rude. I have gotten every birthday cake there since I was a child, but I will not return now that they have were so rude and didn't let me know until the day before so now I can't get a cake anywhere else. If you want a happy birthday or a good cake, stay far, far away from this store.

I've worked alongside Frank Vilt's Cakes many times, and I can say without hesitation that Frank is one of the most talented, reliable, and big-hearted vendors in the business. The Signature Carrot Cake & Small Desserts While Frank is known for his stunning custom wedding cakes, his Carrot Cake is, in my opinion, a masterpiece. It's perfectly spiced, incredibly moist, and clearly made from scratch with high-quality ingredients. I've also had the pleasure of sampling his small dessert displays at various events. The service was fantastic from start to finish. We had the chance to chat with Julian himself along with a couple other staff members, and everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The stars of the meal were definitely the breakfast wrap and the bacon, egg & cheese croissant. The breakfast wrap had the perfect balance of scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned potatoes, avocado, and cheddar cheese. Everything worked together without any one ingredient overpowering the others, and the salsa on the side was a great addition. Honestly, it's one of the best breakfast burritos/wraps I've had. And the croissant... wow. It was absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the croissant was light, flaky, and buttery, and every bite was packed with flavor. The Nutella crepe was also very good. The crepe itself was perfectly made, though there was a little more Nutella than I personally prefer. Next time I'll probably ask for less, but that's purely a matter of taste. The avocado toast was the only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me. It was good, but the honey flavor dominated the dish and drowned out some of the other ingredients. I'd love to taste a little more balance there. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality made for a great breakfast. We'll definitely be back, and I'll be dreaming about that croissant until then.

We also spoke with Bailey, was lovely and apparently took the fall on Julian's behalf. I'd also like to note we ordered a cake here last year and visit Julian's restaurant in Folsom about 2x a month so, as I said I'm extremely disappointed. We ordered a cake for my son's birthday. Wanted a jungle theme. I could've gotten past the ugly (and not what we ordered) decorations had the cake not been cracked in multiple places on the bottom tier. I called, let them know it was cracked and they had me talk to the owner, Julian, who went on to blame us, saying this happened during transport. (It didn't, the cake was frozen. You can also see the terrible job icing it at the top proving it was frozen, and that the cake didn't shift in transport as there was no icing or anything on the cake board.) He argued with me, he was exceptionally rude and tried to put the blame on me. Eventually, he agreed to refund me 50% for the cake. When we cut into it, not only was it frozen, (the same tier that was cracked) but it was also not even the correct filling or cake. I'm not sure what happened, but I called to demand a full refund as this cake was not what I ordered, and the arrogant, rude, owner Julian insulted me, saying I was trying to con a small business. Bailey, who was extremely professional and polite, called back to confirm that wasn't what we ordered and to offer us a full refund. Julian is rude, disrespectful and didn't provide what I ordered. When he was called out he insulted me, insulted my intelligence (by telling me the cake wasn't frozen--when it was, as well as tell me I tried to con a small business.) as people who were extremely loyal to his business, I'm disgusted and disappointed and will not be returning. I'd also encourage you to beware of spending your money here, because you may not get what you order, you may but it's a full risk you will have to take. I also refuse to support rude or mean people. Best of luck if you gamble and order here. I wouldn't have nearly been as mad, nor taken the time to write this review had he not been such a jerk. I'll let you make your own assumptions, based on the emails between us and the company, and what we received. Good luck if you choose to order from them!

Everything on their menu looked really good, but I decided to go with something a little more refreshing: a strawberry sundae. Ordering is super easy through two tablets to the left of the counter. It does force you to provide a phone number, so make sure you don't forget to opt out of those pesky text messages once you leave (if that's your preference). The tap-to-pay was very responsive too. The order didn't take long at all, and I very much enjoyed sitting on their little poofs around one of their tables. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and my sundae was so light and easy to eat. It had a generous helping of strawberry goodness, with even more at the bottom, which was quite a lovely surprise. Black Sesame Swirl - 9.2/10 This ice cream is SO good like it tastes very nutty and toasty while not being overwhelmingly sweet. I would definitely get this ice cream again if I happen to stop by. Yuzu Sparkling Matcha - 5.1/10 I thought about trying their matcha lattes but I wanted to try something different so that's why I got this drink instead and honestly.. it's not that good tbh. I honestly hate sparkling drinks with matcha in general because it doesn't pair well imo. The Sparkling Yuzu is like the only thing that I can only taste and the sourness makes the matcha really bitter in a bad way. Although I do appreciate the color of the matcha so you know that they're not using low quality matcha that's for sure. Miso Caramel Kohl - 7.5/10 My family member got this drink and it honestly tastes a lot better than I thought especially since they use miso in coffee which is an interesting combination. Also, the caramel gives the miso a more nutty and sweet taste. I don't really like caramel but it's honestly not too bad. But the coffee flavor is REALLY strong so I would recommend it for those who love coffee. Service was good and they made the ice cream and drinks pretty fast even though it was kind of crowded when I went. There's some seating but just make sure to come when it's not too crowded. The place is pretty clean and nice overall so I would definitely recommend their ice cream especially the Black Sesame Swirl! ‍

We drive up from the southern Central Valley, and this restaurant has always been one of those special places we look forward to visiting. Unfortunately, this year's experience felt a little different. We heard there may have been a change in ownership and some upcoming menu changes, although I can't confirm that. Whether that's related or not, the food just didn't seem to have that same incredible flavor we've come to love over the years. Our bill was over $370 for four people, so we definitely came ready to enjoy a nice dinner! The Brie was absolutely delicious, the steaks were decent, and the chicken was good. The drinks and local IPAs were tasty as always. The staff, however, deserve tremendous recognition. They were incredible! The service, hospitality, and overall enchanted atmosphere are still very much alive. That's something this restaurant continues to do exceptionally well. We unfortunately didn't catch the live folk music this time, which has always been another charming part of the experience. Overall, I'd give this visit an 8/10. It wasn't a bad experience by any means. It just didn't quite live up to the flavors and memories that made us fall in love with this restaurant in the first place. Would we return? Absolutely. There's too much history and tradition here for us to give up on it after one slightly disappointing visit. Maybe we'll make it an every-other-year tradition instead of an annual one. I genuinely hope the restaurant maintains the quality and uniqueness that made it so special. Wishing the entire team continued success. We'll be back!

I felt a bit lost when I entered the "Top This Frozen Dessert" shop. I was searching to see how much things cost for the variety of options to choose from, but there are no prices posted for all desserts. It's more about guessing what you want or feel like consuming and hoping it's worth what you paid for. Long story short, I asked the person on duty on Jan 4 at around 3:30PM what was good as there were too many options to choose from, and I didn't even know where to begin.. Hannah, the Cashier, offered me her specialty for a Small Red Bull Freeze, which was her favorite. Then I asked her if she provided a military discount after she was done making it as it was time to pay, not knowing what the price was since nothing was posted, and she said "no." The total bill came to about $8 if I were to round up by five cents. However, the business's Yelp page shows that it indeed offered a military discount. So, for what it is worth for a Small $8 drink, it is not worth it. I would rather go to Dutch Bros instead down the street and make it a large for the same cost, which includes a military discount and prices are posted for all drinks and is not a guessing game on being sticker shocked right after like at this Top This Frozen Desserts - Butte House Rd location..
