It was unlike what I used to get years ago. It was brown and didn't taste like cookies and cream. I was bummed about that but happy I could taste it first before I decided to fill my cup. The cold brew yogurt is outstanding! She said it is made with real coffee and it tastes like it! I would order this every time if they had it. I like that it is serve yourself and even the samples you can serve yourself which is very nice. I was glad I could because it changed what I bought. It is pricy! One size cup and it is large. I filled mine only about 1/4-1/3 full and it came to $6.14! Yikes! As much as I really did like the cold brew flavor, I think I would rather go buy a 1.5 quart of Dreyers (for less $) at the grocery store and have it multiple times. There was only one person working on Monday around 1:00 pm. There were no customers in the store so that was nice because I had never been in before. The young woman who helped me was very nice and happily answered my questions and made suggestions.

Ok! I guess we are having frozen yogurt. What a cute shop. Such a welcoming vibe. A few nice tables and chairs on the front patio. Plants, greenery and lights that illuminate at dark. You know you just want to take your yogurt and sit and watch the world go by while relaxing in that comfy space. Oh my... the inside of the small shop was peaceful and equally as well appointed as the patio. Chairs with pillows and wood tables with comfortable seats. Even a flickering candle in the back corner. There were two young women behind the counter with nice smiles as we entered. One explained the "ropes". Pointed us to the yogurt choices and bowls. We were on our wayyyy. Interestingly... the yogurt choices only included non fat and low fat. Hmmm. No regular fat yogurt?:) Full disclosure: I am not really a frozen yogurt fan. Or I should say I "was" not a fan! Omg! The Cake Batter, frozen, low fat, yogurt was soooo good! I love this more than ice cream. And believe me... I love ice cream. Thick, creamy and lucious. Satisfying in the best possible way. Rich flavor and smooth consistency. I added a few Reesse's peanut butter pieces on the top and it just gave it the best crunch ever. I am addicted! And as of this review, I have been back several times. If you are looking for sugar free, dairy free, gluten free... even kosher you will find it here. Quite impressive. My last visit the following flavors were available: cake batter (yay) triple chocolate, horchata yogilato (sounds interesting), strawberry bliss, pom-rasberry, world's best tart, old fashioned vanilla, and bosenberry Italian ice. Whew! Something for everyone. Let us not forget all the sauces just waiting to be drizzled and the huge variety of toppings too. So many yogurts... so little time certainly applies at Urban Yogurt. When I moved to El Dorado Hills 5 years ago... thank goodness there was a big and beautiful Nugget a mile and half away. My point is all Nugget markets are quite incredible. Nothing compares to them. Excellent quality, in-house prepared food, bakery... TDF, floral, meat department, liquor, and fabulous fresh produce section. Fork Lift is to me like the Nugget markets on steroids! I was astonished at the size of the store and cool inside architectural design. Yes it is hip! Super clean, well stocked in everything. Organized. Quite impressive. And the same great departments as I mentioned above that are available in the Nugget stores are right here too! The chatter is that the Fork Lift offers many discounted prices but honestly, I never see them. Then I heard the lower priced items are strategically placed in and around the store. Who knows. I enjoy taking the drive up the hill to Cameron Park occasionally just to wander around and marvel at this shopping mecca! Easy exit off the freeway and fast to find. Plenty of parking. The tvs here are at least 55 inch tvs. Crystal clear. Great for watching the games. There were no Broncos fans or Bills fans here. So it was just my wife and I having basically the entire place to ourselves for the game. We sat (stood too) for the entire game. It was an epic OT win by the Broncos. We each ordered about 4 drinks and had 2 apps. The drinks were all very pretty. Some were good. Some not so much. They are able to make up drinks on the fly as well as customize them. We had their boneless wings and pretzel sticks. Good finger food type snacks. Our waitress disappeared for long periods of time. I think initially she was annoyed that we were just ordering drinks. But I feel like we made it worth her while with 8 drinks and 2 apps ordered.... They have a small arcade to the back. As well as a large private event room. No tvs in there as everyone was coming out to watch the ending of the Broncos game. Overall a nice restaurant. Lots of older people here. But also some families and young people on dates too.
