I ordered the Shakshuka, a northern African dish of stewed tomatoes with feta cheese and spices served with warm crusty garlic bread. A perfectly poached egg was nestled on top, and the dish was accompanied by a side salad of baby lettuces dressed very sparingly in oil and vinegar. Now, ordinarily, for me more is more when it comes to condiments. But the way the salad was dressed allowed the flavors of the lettuces to come through, and its blend of tart and slightly bitter was the perfect foil to the shakshuka, which was hearty, delicious, and spicy indeed! The stew was a generous portion that could be easily shared if you ordered an extra side of garlic bread, which I did. I was lucky to be able to request it from an employee who came around to ask how our meal was. The overall experience was memorable in the best way. I'm already craving the Shakshuka!

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted. The cashier was especially thoughtful and took the time to help me decide what to order for lunch. I ultimately chose the bánh mì, and it was an excellent choice. The sandwich was packed with flavor and served on a lightly toasted roll. It was easily one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. Beyond the food, everyone I interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. This is definitely a place I would return to the next time I'm in Denver!

We were celebrating our anniversary, and the staff brought out complimentary glasses of bubbly rosé, as well as their special dish, which were the stuffed squash blossoms. This was a really thoughtful touch! For mains, we ordered the tagliatelle with lobster (this dish had a tiny bit of spice, which was fine for us but might catch someone else off guard), and the lamb loin. Both were excellent. Overall, we had a great time! We found easy street parking nearby, as well. My only downside would be that, because this restaurant is so popular, there are lots of diners, which makes for a pretty loud atmosphere. However, this just speaks to how good everything is, so if you think about it, perhaps it's a good sign!

I got the Insalata Mista (lettuce, shallot, reggiano) and it's a decent sized salad and very tasty. The Mafaldine (lamb ragu, pecorino romano) is to die for. Such great flavor and the pasta is always cooked perfectly. The service here is always top-notch too. The staff is very well-trained and is on top of everything. Truly a well-oiled machine. Dense and yet they still hold the nice fluffiness, the restaurant certainly does a great job of making these taste exactly like the typical elotes you can find at any (Mexican) restaurant. I could have gotten more than one although I was disciplined enough to resist my urge. For a downtown restaurant (LOL!), they keep the cleanliness in check. Decent service to where I quickly got assisted (although I wasn't necessarily in a hurry.) I can't wait to go back and get me more of those.

She then said she would seat the 4 of us at a 2 top with a high chair. She told us to wait until the table was ready. They set the table and brought over a high chair and then suddenly took the high chair away. In true "see you next Tuesday form" the hostess did not say anything to us and instead sat another couple who had just walked into the restaurant. They still said nothing to us until I walked over to the host stand and then blurted out that the couple they sat had been waiting before us for 50 minutes but got "lost in the system". Mind you, the couple had not been in there at all when we got there and we were told we would have the table. I am sure that we were profiled because we had a toddler with us and they decided to seat others in our place that they had set up for us. Not only that, but nobody ever came to talk to us and inform us about what happened. And then to top it off they told us we could order to go and sit in the lobby of the Meridian. Their behavior and attitudes were absolutely atrocious and definitely discriminatory based on us trying to bring a child during happy hour (before dinner seating had even opened). 0/10 do not go here if you enjoy polite hosts and wait staff and are looking for a family friendly establishment. The hotel lobby bar was everything Corinne was not. The bartenders and servers were friendly, food was delicious, and service was fast. They saved our evening which Corinne had done everything to ruin.
