So beware if you are going out to this restaurant and you want to sit inside they don't let you that is why we rated it 1-star. They also they had a paper saying the kitchen closes 15 minutes before the time they close and we arrived way before and they said no. Nice location to get some Thai food. Located by bambu and a few doors down by ranch 99. Parking wasn't too bad, but I expected this plaza to be much bigger since there's a lot of food spots around. We decided to come grab late night dinner and the place was empty an hour before closing. Ordered chicken eggplant, noodles, and roti for appetizer. As we were ordering, we asked the waiter to make pad Thai with no egg and no fish sauce. The waiter told us she couldn't do that because it supposed to contain fish sauce. Kinda weird, we ordered it last time and they did it for us. I think I heard her say it might be too much for the chefs to do or maybe it's just our complicated order? Anyways, roti is always good with the yellow curry. For the price not so much, but still good. Food was alright, it was better the last time I was here. Seen a few bugs/moths in the restaurant. Had this place a few times and all good experience. With the shelter in place, we did the local pick up which was surprisingly quick and efficient. We ordered online through their website and food was ready in 20 mins. Pick up was easy as the food was already for us to pick up. One table was set for food delivery services and other table was for local pick up. We ordered the Larb Salad, Chili Fish, Me Goreng. My favorite of those dishes is the Larb which taste good with rice. The chili fish had good flavor but I imagine it would taste much better fresh than it is to go. The food here is ok but the service is horrible. We were there Sunday evening August 13th at around 5:30pm for a dinner. It was 4 families and kids all ages (6-12 years old)- 18 people all together. The server was sooooo rude, rolling her eyes, shrugging her shoulders, cutting us off when we were asking questions about the menu. It was no fun at all. We didn't go there to eat for free. And when you don't get treated right you don't enjoy the meal at all. We don't plan on going there again. This restaurant is rated only 3/5, because the food was not authentic, some dishes did not taste good, and portion was extremely small for price. *Tom yum soup- it was super sweet. Special Peanut Sauce(from extra coconut creme less chili, sister made), this place is De Bomba!!! Luv N the Pineapple Curry Friend rice with Chicken and with the extra shrimp curls. Basic Thai Pad noodle is stepped up(don't know Howe? Maybe Malaysian twist)it's damn good AND we keep going back and backa. We jus love there basic clean atmosphere. Not crowded inside unlike the sister, if you will, cafes they neighbor. Being in the Pacific Pearl also allows us to utilize an EV station do tthe station for our 3 Model and have enough after walking the new plaza after we walk and get hot tea from down the snowflake way of a rare MTN grown brown tea for melting our food down in a fo cup. Great food! We always get the N1b which is like a drunken noodles. I love their pad Thai and all their curries are good too. Can't really go wrong with this spot. I recently found out that they have Halal meats which is a plus. The restaurant itself is located in a very busy ranch 99 shopping center. My friend and I came to dine-in around 40 minutes before closing, but we felt we were treated as an inconvenience. As soon as we got sat, the worker didn't give us time to look at the menu and made us order right away. When we got our food, the workers started cleaning right away so there was no dine-in ambiance in the restaurant, we just felt rushed. Not even halfway through our meal, we were presented with the check. We felt rushed and we had so eat really fast, so my stomach was cramping & hurting scarfing down all that food. On top of that, we were out of the restaurant before closing time, so I don't see why we were rushed out. This was an okay Thai spot. Located in a shopping square with 99 Ranch and a ton of other restaurants, it's tough to find a reason to come back here. We ordered the pad kee mao and penang nasi lemak beef. Drunken noodles are standard; you can't go wrong with this order at any Thai place. I needed some stability in my life and the next order threw me a curveball. The penang nasi lemak was new to me and apparently a Malaysian dish. Coconut rice was solid but the protein was pretty much nonexistent in this dish. There were probably four beef cubes in total. I definitely felt like portions were off here, but there was a positive in this dish! The stew/sauce/curry that the beef was served in was tasty/creamy/coconuty. If you liked a lot of coconut milk in your life you'll like this. What can I take away from my time Basil Delight? It reminded me I can't cook any of these things at home, but if I'm going to a Thai spot I'm gonna be on Yelp finding another place to try. read more

We order takeout foods from this restaurant again. This time we order large Shrimp Tom Kha, Red Kari Beef, Penang Chow Ho Fun (chicken, shrimp). The Tom Kha Soup itself was flavorful, a bit on the sweet side but this is expected. However the shrimps tasted salty like they had been marinated in salt and pre-cooked. Shrimp doesn't have to be this way. The shrimps didn't taste like freshly cook shrimps from a good restaurant. Red Kari Beef: this is pretty good and spicy. The beef were chewy. This is the first time we order Red Kari with beef so don't know what to expect. Penang Chow Ho Fun (chicken, shrimp): the Ho Fun (rice noodle) was not bad. However, same as Tom Kha soup, the shrimps were marinated in salt and seem to be pre-cooked (not freshly defrosted shrimp). And the chicken white meat was definitely pre-boiled. I expect freshly stir fry shrimps and chicken --- Not precook shrimps and pre-boiled chicken meat in Chow Ho Fun. Don't know why this restaurant wants to serve food with precook meat and seafood. I don't expect getting food cooking this way from a restaurant (from fast food or food court counter may be). Seems like the cook wants to cut corner or wants to preserve the meat and shrimps longer by pre-cooking them. To the cook: you can do better ! read more

Rerouted here after learning New Thai Bistro is temporarily closed. (Apparently, some idiot caused a car accident that requires kitchen repairs. Feel better soon, New Thai Bistro!) I suppose the outlet shopping gods were luring us back in their direction because after lunch here, we returned for Round Two of outlets. When I first came here, I immediately recognized the look of their menu. The style looked awfully similar with this other place called Thai Basil Express. With my second visit here, I spoke to the staff and asked if they were related. With joy the lady there said, "Yes, that's my auntie's restaurant!" Good to know, because I like them too. I just haven't written a review for them yet. Now lets talk about Basil Delight and why I've decided to make them my new "go-to" for restaurant for some savory Thai food. Here's a few reasons why: = Dining & Service = Their dining is new and clean, and probably about the size of your typical pho restaurant with maybe twenty tables. As far as service, I had my water glass filled without even requesting their attention. The ladies there seem pleasant and willing to satisfy. = Apps & Entrees = Roti and Curry ($7.95) - This had about eight triangle slices of fluffy and flakey roti, or a soft flatbread in this case. It's not the best roti I've ever eaten, but still an appetizing starter. The yellow curry dip that came with it also had some good flavor. Included was a small cucumber salad. Tod Mun ($8.95) - Five savory deep-fried chewy fish cakes, mmm mmm! These cakes were spongy like tofu, but had ten times more flavor. Rendang Beef ($13.95) - Ohhh man, braised beef in coconut milk. This is an instant winner in my book. I don't normally get a dish like this, but with one bite, I felt stupefied! The texture is like a beef stew, only sweeter. Garlic Basa Filet ($14.95) - Deep fried crispy basa fish. Oh and that house sauce and garlic topping around it! So dang delicious! This also came with a more than generous portion of rice, but I just stuck with the veggies and donated my rice to the rendang beef. Chow Kueh Teow Noodles ($9.95) - This was basically a chow fun noodle stir-fried with chicken. It had a good amount of broccoli and chicken too. A bit oily, but it was still palatable. Pad Thai ($9.95) - I was never a fan of Thai Basil Express's pad thai, but the pad thai here seemed slightly better in taste. Regardless, I enjoy their version versus their sister restaurant's version. To conclude with this 5-star review, I gotta mention that my favorite Thai restaurant WAS Lanna Thai in Livermore, but from what I heard, they had changed management and apparently chefs. Not good for their business, but good for Basil Delight. This place has a range of cheap eats to above-average priced dishes; Between $7.45 and $14.95. If you've never been here, then I suggest you give them a try! It'll be worth it! read more

Me and my girlfriend went to eat at this place to break our fast. I ordered the appetizer egg rolls and 2 entrees, so far so good...however after the appetizer my entree came but not my girlfriend's. So I waited until she gets hers before I start eating, but 10 min later we couldn't wait anymore since we were fasting all day!! So we shared my entree, finished it and waited another 10 min and still no food ( her entree) so we called the waitress and asked for the check and canceled her entree!! Never go back again! Put down that Pad Thai folks, Pad Kee Mao is where its at! The flat noodles tossed with a delicious vegetable variety is perfectly light, has a great flavor profile, & yet still delivers as an awesome noodle dish, its always been one of my favorites at any Thai restaurant! The battered Garlic Basa Fillet was perfectly crunchy, & tossed in a delicious house sauce that I just pretty much fell in love with & paired really well with the rice!
