Not only because they deliver great work, for the best prices in the shortest amount of time, but because they are a locally owned and operated business and it shows from the moment you walk in and are greeted by name, to the dog treats they give to your pup who is more than welcome to join you on your errands. Raj is the owner and after working with him on many jobs I consider him a friend. He's just that kind of guy. The rest of the staff that works there including Kunj and Phil are wonderful as well. We've worked with Basecamp for a number of event postcard and poster orders. We were able to get test prints to determine our preferred paper/thickness for the postcards, and test prints of posters to make sure the coloring was right. It's just not something you can do online easily or quickly, so we appreciate Basecamp's in person help. They have generally been very quick to respond and have always gotten our orders to us in time (whether a rush order or a regular order). There have been a couple of instances when something was wrong (we got the wrong size poster once), and without question, they reprinted our full order and provided us with both prints. read more

I called for an estimate to get my address printed on 75 blank envelopes. Base Camp told me the price "starts at $99". I was surprised to hear that since the competition (Also a 5-star business) just gave me a price that is half as much. We are talking black ink on white envelopes here. I was in a jam after trying to get invitations printed at Fedex Kinko's (never, ever again) and having the order come out terribly. I emailed Base Camp to get a quotation on Friday late night, received a quotation back by Saturday early morning. I then dropped by with ten minutes notice on Saturday late morning to look at a proof (they'd done three samples on different card stock for me by the time I'd arrived), placed my order, and picked it up - beautifully done - an hour later. AND it was cheaper than Fedex would have been. I've visited Base Camp before for shipping needs (for which they're also very efficient and reasonably priced), but this is the first time I've used them for printing, and I'll go back every time now. I had them print my wedding programs and they had a sample waiting for me when I arrived. They also printed an additional sample for me when I got there just so I could see it on different paper. They're dog friendly which is convenient so I can stop by on my daily walk. My dog gets a treat every time from the staff, and it's his favorite place to go b/c he pulls even if we're walking past and not heading to basecamp! I went to the property management office to pay my monthly condo fee. I was planning to go to the post office after wards to mail a package. I was complaining to the guy at the front desk at the management office about how I was in no mood to deal with the PO while he was processing my payment. He suggested Basecamp which is in the same building. All I can say it I could hug him right about now! No line, pleasant staff, superior customer service and reasonable shipping price. I can't say enough good things about Base Camp. I have always had friendly and quick service, and last week topped it off for me. I went to mail in my passport to be renewed and asked if I could overnight. The employee who was working that morning (I think she's relatively new, because I haven't seen her) didn't know that FedEx won't overnight to P.O. boxes, nor did I, so we sent it that way. Later that day, I got a call from Raj explaining the situation. Raj not only caught the problem in time, but also took my passport to the post office the next morning to send it overnight through the postal service. Without this level of service, my passport could have been lost and my upcoming vacation doomed! I will ALWAYS choose Base Camp first when I can. read more

I picked Basecamp for the location and reviews. I had a little over a week to get a few t-shirts printed and they had them finished in 1 day! They sent me a proof and were very upfront about what they had and what they could do. I picked them up and they looked great! There was a minor issue that one of the shirt sizes was wrong, but they printed a new shirt for me that day and mailed it to me free of charge the next day. When I pointed out the error they did not make excuses or blame anyone, they just fixed it. I LOVE that and will use them again. read more

Basecamp is an example of how a small local business provides far superior service to the major corporate chains...for one thing, they actually care, even when you show up frantic, a week later than you should have, with some print or design need that has become a do or die situation. Or so it seems during the moment. Staff tend to be calm, competent and reasonable even when dealing with folks who aren't.
