I knew what I wanted, but I didn't know how this business facilitated selecting wood. Went to the cashier to ask for guidance and found them to be seemingly uninterested and unhelpful. They liked talking to each other at the counter. An odd business that doesn't understand customer service. Nor do they seem to be very enthusiastic about their products. They had a good variety of wood, but I wasn't impressed with some of the cut quality. I wish their management luck, the place has good potential. Just need to retrain and rehire staff.

I come and and the guy rings the bell for will call. Wait 5 minutes and no one comes. Ring again. Someone comes. He spent 10 minutes trying to find my order and couldn't. Then I had to wait 15 minutes in line and then someone wrote up my order and I went to pay for it. They told me I had to drive somewhere a few blocks away to pick up my items. Fine. I did that. And I get there and they say they are out of stock of 3 of my four items. Why did they just sell me out of stock items and not tell me. Now I have to call on the phone and convince them I didn't actually get the three items I paid for and they need to credit my card. I didn't have the time to drive 2 blocks and back wait in line again. Update: they don't take phone calls on the weekend, even though they are open. !!?! And all of this took an hour, which should have taken less than 5 minutes and completely messed up my whole day of scheduled events.

I ordered Sika sealant from them and…read morespent hours prepping and caulking under sliding doors, etc. I've used Sika products before (they're great) and knew what to expect. I realized the sealant was not curing properly--it remains tacky and hasn't set up for days. When I checked the expiration date, the product was 8 months past expiration! (Expiry date hidden on caulk tube plunger disk inside tube.) So they are selling way-expired product that does not perform properly. I called Sika and talked with a technical rep. He said if it doesn't set up within a week, I need to scrape it all out and start over with fresh sealant! And even if it does set up, he was uncertain about the long-term performance of the expired product. This was unacceptable negligence by DHC Supplies.

The materials came to 340 bucks so I paid cash for the materials and gave her my credit card for the 110 dollar an hour delivery. Big mistake!! I get a text from the driver who said leaving now be there in 1.5 hours. I live a half hour from the yard so I call the woman who helped me at the counter when I ordered it and she said that the freeway is crawling because of an accident. As she is talking I open Google Maps and it says 31 minutes and the road is clear. I confronted her and that's when she got very defensive because I was about to foil her plan to keep the cash and rack up my credit card with trips back and forth from Sparks to Fernley. Do not use this company they are a bunch of scam artists and crooks! I got the rock in Fernley for half the price for the materials and delivery. Thanks Gopher Construction for your honesty!!

We arrived a little before 3pm on a Saturday. They are open until 4pm on Saturdays. You are able to go into their warehouse where the building materials are nicely organized. They definitely seem to have a wider selection than the big box stores which we appreciate. We were told this location has been open about 6 years. Once you find the products you are interested in you go into the office for pricing details. They also offer delivery for a very reasonable price.
