I drove all the way back into Reno to return a complete box only to be told that it was past the 30 day return policy. I was like who completes a remodel in 30 days? So I'm out 90 bucks. And a wasted drive to Reno. Nowhere on the invoice does it state there return policy. I was not verbally informed of the return policy at the time of purchase. Staff and the manager were very indifferent to my situation. Told them my next remodel project would not involve them. My father always said if you're not satisfied with service go to the top. Don't fool around with the middleman. So, one of the owners reached out to me and offered to make good on this to my complete satisfaction. He offered to refund the full box of tile and actually told me to just keep the box of tile. Now that's what I call Customer Service!

Long story short, they allow designers to come in regularly, browse inventory and place holds on…read moreinventory. As told by an employee of Nova, this is a regular habit with designers. These holds often times expire, yet designers are allowed to keep holds for months at a time. Whether they actually get a client who wants the merchandise the designer has put on hold is up to the client. We were cash paying customers and asked to purchase one of six slabs of quartzite that had 4 month old expired hold tags. We asked them to contact the designer and call us back. One week later and no return phone call sent us back to Nova to see if we could purchase one slab. Our sales person avoided us at first so we followed her to the sales desk. She said she forgot to make the phone call but said the designer wanted all six slabs. This business caters to designers and not the public. We went to Granite Planet in Reno where they treat customers as valued customers. We purchased our material from them. Never will we recommend Nova to friends or acquaintances. I've been in retail my entire career including owning my own business for 19 years. Customers are our life blood in retail. Treating them as valued customers goes a long way....

I come and and the guy rings the bell for will call. Wait 5 minutes and no one comes. Ring again. Someone comes. He spent 10 minutes trying to find my order and couldn't. Then I had to wait 15 minutes in line and then someone wrote up my order and I went to pay for it. They told me I had to drive somewhere a few blocks away to pick up my items. Fine. I did that. And I get there and they say they are out of stock of 3 of my four items. Why did they just sell me out of stock items and not tell me. Now I have to call on the phone and convince them I didn't actually get the three items I paid for and they need to credit my card. I didn't have the time to drive 2 blocks and back wait in line again. Update: they don't take phone calls on the weekend, even though they are open. !!?! And all of this took an hour, which should have taken less than 5 minutes and completely messed up my whole day of scheduled events.

I bought floors for our 3,000 sq ft house (minus bathrooms) from here only because they were the only ones who had the specific look that I wanted. I tried to find it elsewhere but could not find it. The sales man was nice but I felt like it was commission based and he made it appear like he was cutting me "one hell of a price" (he repeated often) when it was probably just the normal price. I don't like stuff like that. I do appreciate that they work with synchrony bank and I was able to get a 0% 2 yr loan for the floors and install. I would have never been able to afford it otherwise. And I hate paying interest. The install went pretty well. I did have them come in three different phases over time. Like 6-9 months of time. When you are remodeling the whole house and Taking out walls that just how that works. The install guys didn't like that becuase they couldn't get paid until it was complete. I was like, well I have paid so it's not my issue. I have gone back to this place twice to get some matching extra baseboards. They no longer have any record of doing my house or any product I bought from them becuase they switched software companies or something. That's super shady. Especially because I was supposed to have a warranty. This made finding matching baseboards hard. Luckily the guys had left one small cover piece for when I redo the bathrooms. Like a perfect cut to get started. The second time I went to get baseboards this new worker ( they have high staff turnover) took forever to pull up my account and said that some other baseboard was what I bought. He brought it out. No way was that what I bought. They had it wrong in their system. I had to drive home, get the little scrap and bring it in. Next the lady helped me and she got what I needed and loaded it for me. When I got home I saw one of them had a huge gouge in the bottom of it (solid wood). Back to the store I had to go again. Definitely check the baseboard they are selling. I often see it scraped, stained etc and the sell it like that. It really should be a brand new perfect piece if your buying it new.

They liked talking to each other at the counter. An odd business that doesn't understand customer service. Nor do they seem to be very enthusiastic about their products. They had a good variety of wood, but I wasn't impressed with some of the cut quality. I wish their management luck, the place has good potential. Just need to retrain and rehire staff.

I brought in some parts I needed hardware for and he had just about everything. A few small, stainless metric allen bolts he didn't have in stock. He said he could have had them the next day but since I was in a pinch he kindly recommended me to a different store that had them in stock. They were even able to custom make a stainless steel braided hose to my required specifications and had the adapters I needed for my application.

Needless to say, I didn't spend the big dollars they were asking for a simple hose clamp. 5 times, no one there new their s*%t there -- and one time whike i was physically at there building they even took much time to explain to me this fabrication having to do with hose size. 2) Sold me hundreds of dollars of large taps (m10 thru m20, with common, differing pitches) but a majority of the pilot bits were often not the recommended size for the corresponding tap. Anyone who has had to re-tap a thread and also needed to bore out the previous bolt knows that this is idiocy. But they went ahead and allowed me to spend hundreds while I still had to go and order the correct size hardened steel pilot bits for most of the taps from Fastenal. . . even more hundred dollars bills on my part. Maybe this is why there was a small tin of lube with the wipi logo included in my shipment to Bishop, CA. 3) Lastly, they're very serious when they talk to you -- like they know their stuff. Maybe they believe their own lies; this would at least be more humane to all concerned. One guy was continually rude over the phone. I would have been okay with attitude if they were the experts they claim to be; I know it's hard to always be nice when you are servicing other men. But they don't even really know what they're bungling. I didn't even complain to them or ask for my money back, they were such d*%@$. -- Maybe the wipi in LA is a good place to buy stuff and also get some advice (the old fashioned type of supply store), but this one in Reno only lost me much time and money in the long-run. I dropped it off on 04/06 at 10, staff put it aside until Allie arrived. Allie called me at noon for permission to restring! (Yes, please!) My Ego Edger was ready at 1pm. Allie even showed me how to use the self-winding feature! Only charge was for Edging line. WHERE ELSE DOES THIS HAPPEN? The big box hardware stores would NEVER let you drop off an item, restring it gratis and take the time to TEACH you how to use your product! Allie and the Staff deserve kudos. Requested bids and designs to remove all the grass in the backyard, install sitting walls around trees with flag stone steps and zero scape setting. The rabbits and voles wreaked havoc in our backyard. We've had to replace our lawn twice. Jeff with Rock Solid Landscaping responded. We agreed to meet and walk the yard. We wanted 3 mounds with larger rocks around with native plants. The crew started everyday at 7am and worked until 4pm. They were always on time and worked a full day. This job was completed in 2 weeks. They delivered a porta potty, bobcat in front of our home. They put cones for safety. They are very organized, when dirt, rocks were delivered they moved to backyard. Then they swept the street and/or driveway to keep clean. Our neighbors complemented on the nice job of keeping street clean. Juan Carlos and his 2 workers were very well organized. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. I asked for a few Day Lillie's be transplanted back into the area. They installed a new drip system with an extension for me to plant my small veggie garden.
