Deceptive business practice. I paid $625 for my daughter to take drivers ed in May. She passed the…read moretest and we were told it could take a couple weeks for her to be scheduled with a driver. When two weeks passed we were told it could take up to four weeks for her to be "assigned" to a driver. When she was finally assigned a driver, it took another month for her to even have her first driving lesson with the instructor. The instructor has had to reschedule on us twice and her schedule only seems to be open once per week for availability (not counting the cancellations). The course and test are only good for 6 months and she will be required to retake it if the school does not give her the road hours she needs with an instructor. The school wants to place all blame on the driver but they are continuing to hold classes and take people's money knowing they do not have drivers available. They are not being upfront with parents and students about their severe lack of available instructors. NOTHING about this was in the contract. I would not recommend Roys to anyone. This has been horribly disappointing and frustrating for my teen. We have wasted the summer. She could have been practicing driving but has had to wait around hoping someone would call her for a lesson. BUYER BEWARE.

My grandson and others were put in time out routinely for age appropriate misbehavior. having owned and directed a school myself, I know what the minimum standards should be and this school doesn't come close. the difference in my grandsons attitude this year is amazing. I feel like I find myself at the East End Community School multiple times a year for awesome events, and I have to say - it's always just right. Does that make sense? Some "venues" in Portland seem too small or too large for whatever it is they're hosting, but everything I've ever attended at this location has always been just right. The right size, the right amount of parking, the right location, just everything is always on point. A couple things I've come to here... 1. Maine YogaFest (July) The YogaFest sprawls across the entire campus. I've done spa yoga in a room that had floor to ceiling windows overlooking Back Cove, I've done both aerial yoga and blacklight yoga in (what I think is) a gymnasium with very tall ceilings, and I've done vinyasa flow outside in a beautiful athletic field. Coming to EECS for this event feels like a vacation away from Portland - it seems quieter in this area of the city. Maybe because it's set up on a hill, has an impressive amount of open space, tree coverage, and fabulous flora? It just doesn't feel like it's Maine's largest city. 2. Art on the Hill Sale (December) Again, the art sale flows from room to room pretty effortlessly. I never feel cramped walking through, and despite the level, lighting, and space changes from room to room, it all just seems to work. I forget that I'm in a school! Anyway, if you're coming here for yoga, an art sale, a vegetarian food festival, a children's film event, a lecture... just know that you're in good hands!

Every Friday, Valerie hosts a free breakfast, where people of all levels can practice their French. The other two offices were dark rooms where I felt closed in and one was so noisy that I had to leave and take the 2nd class elsewhere. These remote learning classes are in offices that generally are many businesses who have one front desk person. There could be a lawyer and chiropractor in the offices next to you. You will learn by calling in to a phone bridge as well as following along on an instructor screen. You also have a booklet and your own screen so you get all 3 learning types covered. The bonus of this spot... Being in the heart of Portland. There are many options of places to eat and get coffee that accommodate food allergies. Plus, on your lunch break you can walk down to the water and back! There is a place to get a foot soak and massage, an amazing local bookstore and so much more right here!! There is a cash only parking garage attached to the Time and Temp building that is ooooold and totally sketchy looking but it's safe. The whole city is safe really when I think about it.
