Bartlett had one of their experts check out a tree in our front yard a few weeks ago and we determined that it needed to be replaced. Tim provided us with multiple replacement suggestions that would fit the space visually. We decided on a Fringe Tree for its spring flowers and mature size. He also inspected our various azaleas and suggested some treatments. The tree was planted today and looks perfect and just a few weeks after treating the azaleas they look awesome. Highly recommend their service and professionals. read more

Call Bartlett Tree Service first. They do more than cut trees down and haul away the lumber. I live in the woods have two 120' double-trunked oak trees near my house. I was reluctantly considering removing them and had gotten two quotes to do so. When I met with the arborist Tim Zastrow, who is certified to do tree risk assessments, he was able to come up with a plan to stabilize the trees with rods and cables and prune them to keep most of the canopy weight on the side opposite the house. The crew who came to do the work was great. They were polite and professional in every way. They reached out to Tim when there was a little uncertainty about which limbs to prune. They were knowledgeable and worked as a well-established team to get the job done. As soon as the first rod was placed, I felt a wave of relief knowing that I had found the appropriate balance between safety, cost and tree removal. The cables in the canopy are all but invisible and the rods are not obtrusive. The plan cost less than 1/3 of the lowest estimate I received to remove the trees. And most importantly, I still have the trees! All in all, next time I would call Bartlett Tree Service first! read more

Bartlett Tree Experts - Tree Services Near Me - Frederick, Maryland

Bartlett Tree Experts were extremely knowledgeable, professional and helpful. We inherited some older trees that were not maintained when we purchased our home and also planted a few ourselves for some privacy screening. Phil was able to easily discuss remediation and maintenance needs to keep our investment healthy for the long term! read more

liars! they sent us a bill for something that they never did. Oh my God I can't believe how bad they are never calling the service again. They said they came out and trimmed everything that they said they were going to and nothing has been done but yet they sent us a bill. Wow. read more

Bartlett Tree Experts are very professional, and reliable. We recommend their services and personnel highly

We had a special trimming job which was to create growth space for Crepe Myrtle that was hampered by the low spreading growth of a Sycamore tree which started to clash with each other. The Arborist worked closely with us to define exactly what we wanted. The cutting team arrived and confirmed what we needed and again worked very closely with us to open up the Sycamore and to selectively shape the Crepe Myrtle while removing dead and cross-over branches. A nearby garden on the rear of the house have also benefited from the additional light. These guys are professionals, well trained, well equipped and well led. Good job Ryan, Colton and Seth. Crepe Myrtle is happy and shooting for the sky. Image below shows the "freedom" created for the Crepe by the Bartlett crew! read more

Bartlett Tree Experts - Tree Services Near Me - Frederick, Maryland

Bartlett has been our go-to for years, worth the additional cost (compared to some "landscape" companies) for any work requiring a skilled crew. The guy who mows my lawn can do some pruning, but when we need to carefully take down trees or prune higher branches or just need expert advice, we turn to Bartlett. Their crews are always top-notch, and I really appreciate their attention to safety. They recently took down a row of dying (old) sassafras trees and (after talking to me) left stumps of various height, with multiple angled cuts for a more "natural" look. Very pleased! read more

We had a large tree with several large limbs that were dead. The tree was dying and if it were to fall, it could have caused significant damage. The crew from Bartlett took it down safely. They managed to get their equipment up our Dr despite low hanging electrical cables (thanks Potomac Electric ). They cleaned up all the waste and hauled it all away. Great job by a great crew!! read more

The Bartlett crews were efficient, polite, and nondestructive in their work. Our trees looked great after their work and their clean-up looked like they were never here. We were very pleased with their efforts. read more

They completed the work requested, pricing was fair, crew that did the removal were professional and cleaned up when complete. Only reason for not the five stars was the communication lagged at times on confirming the start and completion date.. had to keep sending emails and texts. But it was resolved and once we connected the work was completed as requested. Would recommend them! read more

We have had several bad (awful) experiences with OTHER tree experts before we found Bartlett. They were amazing. Great experience with scheduling, the assessment and estimate, and the work. Zeke looked at the trees we wanted taken down - a huge spruce and medium size holly and mulberry trees - and advised us about the health of the trees, the cost for removal, what would be included, and what to expect. The team was professional, respectful, and experienced. They arrived on time and worked together to get the work done. The huge spruce was in front of our house angling to the power lines and they dropped the tree perfectly. It was amazing to watch. They did a great job filling in the stump holes, cut the spruce to our specifications, and moved the 10' logs to the back of our yard. Highly recommend this company and team. read more

Second time having Bartlett Tree Experts take care of our arboreal needs. Ryan came out, assessed our needs and explained my options. The contract offer was timely, well-defined and very competitive. The 3-man crew professionally brought down and sliced up 2 tall dead trees in equatorial heat, and protected/cleaned/removed up everything else. They were very respectful of the property and community. They also braced my front yard ornamental pear tree. I recommend them supremely. River Oaks Community, Frederick. read more

James Brian and Matt did a great job pruning and trimming our trees! They arrived, went over the job at hand, worked with safety in mind, asked for our input and cleaned up well. They were very friendly! Phil read more

They did exactly what I asked to my Magnolia tree that was hanging over the roof shedding leaves. I don't think I clearly communicated that I also wanted the east side evened-up/balanced with the house over hanging part so when I was initially disappointed they came back (on one of the hottest days of the year) and mostly did what I asked. There still a bit left to do on the east side but didn't have the right tools (long pole) and said they'd be back when in the neighborhood. Good guys working hard for complete satisfaction read more

We had an excellent experience with Bartlett Tree Service. The arborist, Dan Yates, and the crew, Chris and Matt, were highly knowledgeable, helpful and did excellent work. They took down a tall red maple that was compromised, and did extensive pruning of several other trees, including a tall pear and two old, tall English walnuts. These were old, huge trees, one with branches that overhung our roof. The work required climbing that looked quite harrowing to me and demanded precision work to avoid damage to our duplex. The clean up was thorough and the cost was reasonable. I fully recommend them. read more

I loved working with Bartlett Tree Experts! Matt, James and Mike were my crew and they KNOW trees. It was so good to work with professionals who helped me understand the benefits of pruning and boosting our tree with nutrients. It's an big old tree that shades our home and has seen our community and neighborhood grow for many years - saving it was our priority. Bartlett worked with us as trusted partners to decide on a strategy and move forward. Thank you so much to the Bartlett Team! read more

Very professional service. Ryan Karroll, the Arborist, gained credibility with me when he indicated he would rather save a tree than cut it down. The crews doing trimming work and (on a separate day) installing a brace arrived on time and completed work as contracted. They even hauled off some large downed branches that were not part of their job scope. Friendly and courteous throughout. read more

A strong review. They are professional, friendly, knowledgeable. Arborist Dan Yates knows his stuff! The only complaint I have is that when they get busy (i.e., storm season) it can be hard to get on their schedule. But I suspect that is a result of their quality work. I have and will continue to recommend them to others. read more

Chris and James did an outstanding job trimming our trees. Our trees are always happy after being trimmed, especially the following year. Prior to their visit, we were informed about what treatments would keep our cherry trees healthy and take care of the spots on the maple leaves by the arborist. We have contracted with them for continuing treatments. The trees are already looking better. Thanks again to the Bartlett Tree Experts. read more
