Erik treated our large yard for grassy and broadleaf weeds. He arrived on time and called 15 minutes before he arrived, so I could take the dogs outside to "do their business" before the weed killer was put down. Used them in the past but they blew me off the last 2 years. Either they couldn't do it or it was too dry to core. This year his price went from $140 to $300 and couldn't get to it for a month. Couldn't even call to give message but texted at 8:50 at night. Poor customer service but I found someone else that did a much better job and cost was reasonable. read more

I really had to think about whether to take the time and post a review. I fired Royal Greens last week and could just leave it at that. However the service and product in my opinion were so bad that I am compelled to leave my review and opinion. With these reviews, the companies are quick to respond to try and deflect the criticism or cast doubt on the reviewer. But keep in mind when you read this that the reviewer took their time to share their thoughts. They would not do that if they didn't feel strongly about the review. Pay attention to the review and not the deflection and excuses from the Company. Also understand that the review is an OPINION and your personal experience could vary. I had Royal Greens for several years. My lawn simply looks atrocious. dead patches and weeds. This spring when my lawn was really simply a sea of weeds I called and spoke to Amanda. A special treatment was scheduled and the weeds eventually minimized. I was unclear why I needed a special treatment as I would expect that through normal lawn maintenance my lawn weeds should be handled (Cue expected weather blame here). I informed them at the time that if my lawn didn't improve that I was discontinuing service. Well its September and I am looking at weeds and brown spots and splotchiness. I am generally embarrassed about how my lawn looks yet I am paying professionals to maintain. So I called again to discontinue service. Again I got Amanda, she asked why, I said I am paying for a lawn that looks like crap and I might as well just save the money and let it look like crap without the help of Royal Greens. Amanda reminded me that I had a package that allowed for special treatment. I simply had to notify them I needed a special treatment. And here I stopped and got fed up with the excuses and the lack of responsibility from the Company I hired. I told Amanda that is was Royal Greens responsibility to observe and advise on my lawn, not mine to advise them. I told her I was paying for their professional evaluation. What I got was more excuses, and a comment about notations on the bill. Right before she hung up on me. OK- its like this, Royal Greens. You are paid as service provider and consultant. You evaluate, make recommendations and support the client. You provide the product and educate the client on how to support the product. This is what you do when you are a pro shop that cares. What you dont do is make excuses, hang up on customers and make the revenue stream more important then the service. So you won't do my lawn anymore. I hired another firm and I told them to manage my lawn, make it look nice and create a minimum amount for me to do. I suspect they will do that. I did call Royal Greens back after Amanda hung up on me. The gentleman I spoke to was quite professional, discontinued my service and apologized. I will not use them again nor would I recommend under any circumstance. read more

Reliable company. Any time I have a concern, they are quick to get back to me with solutions. Great customer service, no such thing as a "dumb question". I am a huge pet lover so my dogs safety and healthy is my top concern. RG treats my lawn for pests throughout the year. I no longer worry about pests getting to me or my precious dog! read more

I had Royal Greens for many years. The have a good program, but in the last few years, their service has deteriorated. Early spring applications don't get done until mid-late April (should be done in March). Worst of all, I had seeding and aeration scheduled as part of my regular program. I had to call them three times and they finally came out on October 15. October 15 is the last day of the normal seeding window for our area. They were supposed to come on Tuesday and never showed up. I had to call again and they finally came on Thursday. The technician only did the front yard, skipped the entire backyard and billed me for both. I find that incredible. Called to complain and the owner said the technician would come out Friday to do the backyard. Never showed up. Called again and the technician finally came out on Monday. Of course, by that time, we're outside of the normal seeding window and the seeding will probably do nothing. I think Royal Greens is a case of a decent program that's gotten too big and they can no longer service their customer base. read more
