Mr. Abbott was very prompt for the meeting and gave us a preliminary cost estimate for the job and we gave him times when we would be available to complete the job. I must say, we varied on the dates and Mr. Abbott was flexible and even came to the project site to see if we had made any changes. On the date selected, Mr. Abbott and his crew arrived very early in the morning and discussed with us some last-minute changes. Mr. Abbott set up his large crane (the main boom on this crane can reach 100 feet and with a jib attached reaches 140 feet) to comply with safety regulations and then the work proceeded. The task started and I must say Mr. Abbott has some very impressive machines and skilled workers. The tall trees were removed, starting at the top and then removing the next lower section until the ground was reached. At that point a stump grinding machine removed the stump. For the very tall trees, a workman climbed to where the first part of the upper tree was going to be separated from the tree and lifted away by the very tall crane parked on the street. It was done so quickly and cleanly moved to the ground where a crew with chain saws prepared the removed section to be shredded and blown into the bed of a large truck. No scraps of wood laying around. The worksite was clean! For the large tree that was not near the street, a large, tracked crane was used that distributed the weight of the crane to minimize compaction of the ground where it traveled. 2nd time using Abbott's Tree Experts in two years. First time was to remove a few nuisance trees that popped up over the years and never cared for by previous homeowners. This time it was to remove all the trees. I value the fact every tree they remove they donate to plant a tree, which is sustainability at its finest. Since these trees used up 1/3 of my townhouse yard it was best to remove them all this time. They did have to remove a section of the fence for ease of getting their equipment in which was put back together quite well even though it's an old fence that will be replaced in the next few years. The guys came with all the tools and made quick work of everything from tree to stump removal. As the guys were in the back cutting things down there were guys in the front that chipped everything. From start to finish they made quick work of 4 trees. From the initial quote to the payment easy to work with, knowledgeable and efficient. Plus inquired what they would suggest should be replanted just to get an idea which again was very helpful. Even though I don't have anymore trees on my property will always recommend this company to others plus will look to see what other services they offer to use them in the future. read more

I challenge you to find a more honest, professional, prompt and kind lawn & tree service! I called Matt Abbott in desperation after a tree limb fell over onto a neighbor's property. Matt came out precisely at the time he said he would and provided a free estimate as well as consultation on the future of my tree. Within 10 minutes after speaking with him, I was sold on his character and conduct alone, not to mention what I believe was a fairly quoted price for removal of limbs and debris. Matthew came out himself to take a look at our beloved rising sun redbud trees - one of which had recently suffered some wind damage with a partially broken branch. These trees are the highlight of our beautiful back yard, and he not only trimmed, braced and tended to that branch, he discovered an unseen girdling root that was on its way to choking off the roots on the back side of the tree and cut and corrected it. Matthew is professional, knowledgeable, and very personable, and he and his staff work hard to take good care of clients. After working with two different tree companies previously, we will absolutely be hiring Matthew and his crew for more tree and landscaping work on our property. Abbott's Tree Experts were great to work with. Matt came out to our property and walked around giving us insight on what species of trees we had, what damaged or diseased trees we had, and gave us the option of what to take down. Due to the volume of trees that we needed brought down he said it would be cheaper to book his team for an entire day. I was unsure if I could afford that, but it was more than reasonable. He can take the wood away, or leave it for you. He even chipped a ton of it for me onsite, same day, to use in my garden! His team worked tirelessly from 7am until about 4pm, and got it all done! Safety was a priority for Matt and his team. I already have plans to hire them for some future work again. I highly recommend them! read more

The crew from Abbott's Tree Experts arrived on scheduled. Matt and I reviewed the work to be completed and introduced me to the crew that will be doing the work. Since we were using our neighbors driveway to bring up their equipments and machineries, they made sure that it was OK for them to use their driveway before proceeding. They took their time to ensure not to mess up our backyard by laying boards to make a path to the trees they were cutting and grinding. They also made sure everything was clean up before they left. Matt's crew with Abbott's Tree Experts recently took down a diseased ash tree and a smaller pine. This is the second time they've come out for me and I couldn't be happier. The trees were is a awkward spot right on the property line with my neighbor behind a shed and chain link fence. Once again they expertly took down the trees careful to avoid damaging my and my neighbor's property. The first tree they took down for me a couple years ago was a 150+ foot silver oak that was also in less than good shape. Matt and his crew are truly experts and will do everything they can to work with you to take down trees in the safest manner. Can't recommend them more. read more

These guys are real pros...over the years (we live in a heavily wooded area) - we have worked with four different crews and these guys are the best. Remarkable skill and daring do...they showed up when they said they would and did what they said they would and then some. The bonus was that it was like having the circus in town given their aerial skills and their ability and discipline not to harm our property (or themselves) while working very close to and over our home and at great heights. We had a 40ft tree come down in the last storm. I called Matt early the next day and he came out that morning. He gave us a very reasonable estimate and scheduled for the next day. He and his crew were out 1st thing the next day and had the tree removed in less than 2 hours. I called on Saturday after I took a tree down in my front yard. Spoke with Matthew who was first and foremost relieved to hear that nothing went wrong when I took the tree down. He then proceeded to schedule an appointment on Monday to remove the tree and grind the stump. They arrived around lunch time and took care of everything very quickly. The Abbott's team in Frederick took care of our project for us quickly and were very reasonable. We had a very large stump and several shrubs that was next to impossible to remove for this homeowner but it wasn't too much for this team. They were able to grind it up within inches of our sidewalk! Excellent work. Excellent service from Abbott's Tree Experts. I lost 2 huge limbs off my ageing hemlock in a recent storm. Got a good estimate that my insurance adjuster said was great. Matt Abbott also gave me advice on my homeowners insurance claim and both tree and fallen limbs were removed within a day. Abbott Tree Experts took down two large trees and ground the stumps and visible large roots for me. The backyard tree was close to my deck and fence and required precision to cut and lower each of the large branches to avoid damaging the deck or fence. All branches, leaves and wood chips were cleaned up and removed with no damage to my lawn from any of the equipment. Matt and his team did a great job and I highly recommend them. read more
