I was expecting this to be a coffeehouse with food but this really is a food place that offers coffee. So temper your expectations if you plan to go specifically for the coffee. I ordered a lavender latte with about half the sweetness that it would normally be served with. The latte was extremely milky - no joke it had to be at least 96% milk. It was fine? Not great. Just tasted very much like lavender milk. Our food was hit and miss. The biscuits and gravy was a miss. It was a little gelatinous and on the thick side and we found the plating off-putting. (Served in a bowl filled to the brim.) While the pancake plate with an over medium egg and bacon was a winner. Everything here was cooked perfectly and the taste was great. I would recommend the cuisine part of Jay's but I wouldn't recommend the coffee based on my experience.

I enjoy this iced coffee because of the unique way it is made. Organic coffee brewed to perfection with milk. The best perk is that the ice cubes are iced coffee as well. We believe there must be a change in ownership!! Aside from food we literally left uneaten after it was served following a 40 minute wait, there was an unspoken difference among the employees which reflected tension. There appeared to be a different cook in the kitchen, & a "new woman" that seems to be watching over the tables & servers. We hope Betty has not sold the place! It's doubtful we will go back - so sad!

I just found out about this place a couple of months ago, and I've now ordered from them 3 times. Every time I go to pick up my order, there is a line down the street because they are so popular!! This isn't a sit down restaurant, but a drive up window where you can pick up pre-made and frozen meals to bring home. Order ahead online or order at the window. They are only open 3 days a week - Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. But, you can order online the morning that you want to pick up food, and they are usually ready with your order in an hour or two. They have several main meals made every week as well as weekly specials. Most of their casseroles also come in three different sizes (small, medium, or large) depending on how many people you are feeding. Also, there are very clear cooking instructions on every casserole. Favorites that I have tried: - Almond Chicken (their main seller, and you will see why when you taste this delicious meal. On top of a bed of rice, this creamy chicken dish with almonds in it is sooooo good!!) - Chicken Spaghetti - Chicken and dumplings (not a regular menu item, but if they have this on their weekly special, I highly recommend) - Cheesy mac side - Loaded cauliflower side Most of the dishes come frozen, so you can buy a bunch to stock up your kitchen and just eat all week! I'm going to keep ordering from them so I can try more. There are so many different options on the menu.

SO WE WAITED FOR THE…read morePOLICE TO COME....PLEASE READ WHAT LED UP TO THIS.....THIS PLACE HAS CHANGED....I suggested the place because I have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and customer service. I was so disappointed when my acai bowl came out watery, with a chuck of what appeared to be a round piece of frozen blueberry puree on top, and mostly granolas.... My protein pancakes came out warm in the center cold around the outside and stuck together...Not good at all. So disappointing. But since I suggested it to my friend, I was going to press through and endure it. However, my friend ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuit and breakfast potatoes. Sadly to say, the biscuit came out cold, heavy, with the bottom discolored and soaked in grease, totally inedible. The eggs were luke-warm at best. The bacon was cold, and look like it had been sitting up for a while, you can see that the grease had settled into the meat. When the server returned, I shared with her that my friend's biscuit and bacon was cold. She said let her ask the kitchen and see what they can do. We waited, and waited, she never came back. I went in and asked for assistants and was told our waiter had other customers that came in that she had seat. So, I express to this young lady, (whom name I will not mention, because she may have just been having a bad day this Friday..... She said, it could not be cold and could not see how it came out cold because she (our waiter) brought it out as soon as the kitchen placed it in the window. We asked her to look at the biscuit and the bacon, we even asked her to just feel it, she said she did not want to touch our food. We told her this is not our food, we cannot eat this like this...so you can touch it to confirm the temperature. She said, look its Friday...I can get another biscuit and bacon from the kitchen. I asked for fresh biscuit and bacon. She said there is a difference between fresh and hot, she can get us a hot biscuit and bacon, but they opened at 6:30am. I said ma'am, what does that have to do with receiving fresh and hot food, I understand what time the restaurant opens, but its only 8:23am now. She said let her go and get another biscuit and bacon from the kitchen. We waited, and we waited for at least another 12 to 15 minutes. I walked over to ask another server for the young lady that was assisting us, then I saw her walking towards the patio where we were seated with a plate, I walked over to meet her to see that it was another saggy biscuit and two pieces of bacon as if it was thrown into hot grease and fried. I said, ma'am I am so sorry, but we cannot eat this food. Please just take it all back. She said she can not. This is the food we ordered, she can box it up and we can take it with us, but we will have to pay for it. I said, no ma'am we are not paying for food that will only go into the garbage. She told us, that if we did not pay for it she would have to call the police, and get the proper authorities here to let them handle it. We said okay, call them, we will sit right here until they come. And we sat and we waited.... She came back out and said, I have your receipt. I said ma'am respectfully, we can not eat this and we cannot pay for this. She said since yawl not going to pay, I need to take your name and number. So I gave her my real name and my real number, and expressed that I look forward to the call and I hope she have a good Friday and a great weekend. We left... and have committed to not come back to this restaurant. So sad, and I hope it turns things around because it is not going in a positive direction...So sad....
