I wish I could give Randy 10 stars. I called him this morning and he has already come out to give me an estimate. The work will be done tomorrow. AMAZING service, fair price and excellent workmanship. read more

Best prices that I was quoted! They finished and cut down 2 HUGE trees that were causing problems on our property. Everything was done in one day and their guys were one of the hardest working men I've seen. Great job! Definitely will be my go to company for future services. read more

Randy and his team are amazing. Randy came out for a free estimate and surprised me with his wealth of knowledge. He was able to identify all of our unknowns and had recommendations based on safety (tree limbs) and curb appeal. Randy's prices are reasonable and well worth it. His crew worked so hard over the course of the day and did beautiful work. They are meticulous and even did additional work after I had written the check, just because. I highly recommended this company. You won't be disappointed. read more

Bartholomew Tree Service came to my house and did a great job! My trees and shrubs were way, way overgrown and the guys left my place looking much better. They came when they said they would, gave me excellent advice and did not leave a mess, at all. The price was fair. Highly recommend. read more

The same day I called I got an estimate, 2 days later the tree is gone. Great job! Great value, great everything! I have plenty of trees and will call again if another tree dies read more

I just used Randy to trim some big trees on my property. His guys showed up right on time, did a good and thorough job, and cleaned up everything. The price was very reasonable. I look forward to using them again. read more

We just moved to the suburbs and knew nothing about the trees on our property. Randy came out and walked me through my yard pointing out every species of plant and tree (I wish I took notes) and was very up front about any issues he noticed. His group came out and did the job while we were at work and everything was cleaned up thoroughly. We will definitely we contacting Randy next Spring when we tackle trimming our big oaks. read more

Just recently had all my trees and bushes cut down and they did a fabulous job. They were quick and used some serious heavy duty equipment. We also had a cable line that was right on the cut line but they meticulously was able to cut the trees without losing our cable. They even went so far as to call Comcast to relocate the line for us. Would definitely recommended them for any tree cutting. read more

My husband and I would highly recommend Bartholomew Tree Service. Randy responded within 24 hours and gave us a very fair quote for the removal of our large maple tree and stump. The crew was efficient, polite and cleaned up. We have a small yard and the tree was very close to our garage so the task was not easy. I was amazed that none of my flowers in close range of the project were damaged! Would highly recommend! read more

Bartholomew Tree Service came to my house today and did a great job. I would highly recommend them. After deciding we wanted to proceed with their service they came out in 2 days to do the job. We had several trees removed, stumps as well, and several trees trimmed. They also removed some stumps from prior bush removal. The staff and owner (Randy) were a pleasure to work with. read more

We moved into our house about a year ago and realized the previous owners did zero maintenance of about 15 trees on the property. Additionally, there were about 10 stumps we needed ground. Randy provided a very thorough and reasonable quote for cleaning up the trees and some pruning. Within three days, the team did a fantastic job and was very efficient. Given the great service, experience and fair price, we're using Bartholomew tree service as our arborist going forward. read more

5 stars are simply not enough for the crew that I've experienced. Very reasonable prices compared to others, a wealth of tree knowledge and such professionalism-would not look any further or go to anyone else! read more

I called Randy because I had trees growing around power lines on my property and was concerned I would have to cut my power off from Comed. He returned my call later that morning and said he would stop by to take a look at it in the afternoon. Not only did he look at it he told me there was no need to cut the power and he would take care of the issue right there on the spot. He also trimmed some other trees on the other side of the property at no additional charge. Great guy and fast efficient service! I will use Randy again for any tree services I need in the future. read more

Randy and his crew are terrific. This is my second time hiring them to trim my Schubert Cherry and Corckscrew willow. Randy is quick to respond to both your call for a quote and to complete the job. He knows his trees and provides professional advise on their care and makes sure the finished project is completed to the customers satisfaction. I'll be reaching out to them again when these trees need to be trimmed. read more

Had to call twice for an estimate then got a completely different quote (wrong house). Called again, confirmed the service needed, followed up with a no show... Really wanted to use someone local but I guess they do not want easy business. read more

"I'll throw that in for free to get your business" is forgotten as soon as the job is awarded. This is one local business that we will not be using again. read more

Great tree service. Had a dead ash tree in front yard. They honored their quote from 1.5 years previous. Came out morning after I called. Fast and professional. No muss no fuss. Randy is very nice on phone. read more

Lots of trees in my yard had never had proper trimming and Randy did a great job. I spoke with a number of companies, but Randy was the most knowledgeable, understood my long-term plans (grow grass in certain spots, protect an older fence, etc), and had great pricing. His crew was prompt, cleaned up well, and the final result is great. Grass grew in where it never did before, looks great, and no issues with all the large storms this year. Highly recommended. read more

Randy and crew did a fantastic job removing 2 trees, 3 bushes, stump grinding and trimming a few branches. The price was very fair, and they did a good job cleaning up. I would highly recommend them and would use them again. read more

Lots of trees on my lot. Had Randy out to look at my trees and make recommendations for pruning, etc. He is very knowledgeable and offers several alternatives at different costs. He and his crew came out today - they did a fantastic job and cleaned up everything after they were finished. You won't go wrong with Bartholomew for your trees! read more

If I could give these guys 100 stars I would! I called them on a Friday morning and by Friday at 4:30 PM the two trees were down and ground and the dozen or so large shrubs were cleared. They even offered to grind down an old stump that wasn't part of the job while they were there. It was amazing! Very reasonably priced and great service! read more

They are very quick, professional, polite and have a bunch of heavy duty tools. And they don't charge arm and leg for all these good qualities))) I called other companies, but they never called back :[ Randy called next day after I left a message, next day I got estimate, and next day they came. Highly recommended. read more

Got a price from Randy to remove a tree from my back yard. The layout of the area was making it difficult to get equipment back there but Randy told me no problem. He was booked up at the time, but said they would fit us in as soon as possible, but it would probably be about 7 days. That was a Friday. He was here three days later on Monday and took the tree down. Not only did he clean my yard up, his crew cleaned up anything that fell on the other side of my fence in my neighbor's yard. Talk about awesome!! I even asked his crew chief if he could leave me the trunk for me to cut up and use in my firepit/ His crew cut the tree trunk into manageable chunks for my firepit. Randy's price was excellent, his team was professional and I would highly recommend Bartholomew Tree Service to anyone. You can't go wrong with this company! read more

Randy was the BEST. I needed many trees and shrubs trimmed and one or two trees removed... and had called several companies in the area. Some companies never called back and one gave an estimate and then wouldn't return the call to schedule. Randy came in at the most reasonable price, he returned calls immediately, followed through on the work professionally, and had a polite, clean, crew working for him. He knew which trees to trim and made recommendations that were appropriate. I understand that he worked for a larger company for many years, so he has a depth of experience as an arborist and knowledge. Several of my neighbors also hired him, after seeing what a great job he did for us. If you're lucky enough to find Randy on a day where he brings his dog, you will love the experience even more (the dog is well behaved and very smart). Totally recommend! He'll be back in the fall to do more trimming for us. read more

If I could give Randy and his crew 10 stars, I would! I called them last week after reading the reviews on Yelp. He went to our property the same day that I called him to inquire of his services, gave us an exceptionally reasonable estimate, gave a few suggestions on other things he'd do, and was a super nice guy over the phone. Today he came out to do the job and he and his staff are absolutely amazing. They did everything they said they'd do in a very timely and clean manner. They took down two HUGE trees, three additional medium sized/smaller trees, and they pulled out a few shrubs. They were safe, took the right precautions, and they cleaned up everything. I wish I knew more people who needed trees removed to give them more business because this is a top notch company run by very good, honest people. Truly, I could not be happier and I give them the highest recommendation. Eventually I will need them to come back in a year or two to trim back some trees again and I can't wait to give them my business again. read more
