Horrible service and customer service. Multiple times my dr has sent in my prescription and when I called I was told they didn't have it. After telling them my dr called it in a couple days ago, they said oh ya it's here you can come get it whenever. One time I was only given half of my prescription, even tho the bottle was labeled the full amount, luckily I noticed, I called and they said, oh ya we have the other half here you can come get it. Causing me to make another trip for no reason. The staff takes no accountability or responsibility and acts like they couldn't care less. Fortunately it wasn't life saving medicine I needed. They always seem so slammed and overwhelmed, causing them to have terrible attitudes. I will def not be going back to Bartell Drugs in Lake Stevens. read more

I've been a Bartells customer for well over 25 years and appreciate the friendliness, variety and simplicity of shopping there. I also use the pharmacy and the poor reviews seemingly fail to also recognize just how hard it is to find staff and what it's like having to make up that shortfall by working 2x hard. Healthcare in general, including pharmacies, are struggling; in part, because of the openly hostile behavior of patients. Also, Bartells Rx, because it has always been the primary pharmacy in this area, has a huge customer base which is great, but also stresses the system. I was also really sad to see the buyout of Bartells by Rite Aid, a pharmacy that often falls way short in customer service. Thankfully that negative experience hasn't followed to this Bartells. read more

The pharmacy is the absolute slowest and least friendly I've ever encountered. The drive-thru is rarely open, and when it is, the customers there are last to be served. Today, I was first in line after they opened and still had to wait 10 minutes for them to get their act together. There was no money in the register at the time they opened, so they were not "open" at all. If you ask, you will -- without fail -- get this response: "We are short handed." When a prescription is called in by my doctor, I often have to wait at least one business day to pick it up, not mere hours like everywhere else. When it comes to things like antibiotics, that is unacceptable. Staff are not cross trained, so it's common to have to wait for someone to help run the register or answer a simple question. I am SO DONE after being a customer for 4+ years and will be transferring all my prescriptions elsewhere starting today. Management needs to fix what's broken, and fix it NOW. read more

You can return anytime and receive a 100% refund. Also one of the earliest stores open in lake Stevens at 7am Monday thru Friday closing at 10pm & 8am-10pm on Saturday & Sunday. I called in to see if they had insulin size needles in stock for my daughter's medication. I was immediately put on hold and was told there is one caller ahead of me. I was totally fine with that as I know that pharmacies are busy and can be understaffed. HOWEVER, I have now been on hold for 47 mins and the pharmacy now closes in an hour. I finally sent my husband over there to ask and try to fill the prescription because I truly believe that they forgot that I was on hold. What happened Bartell's!?!? Bartell Drugs Pharmacy USED to hold themselves to a higher standard than other pharmacies however after what I experienced today I will no longer have a prescription sent to this location EVER. I arrived in the drive thru an hour and a half after the Oral Surgery Tech sent the prescriptions to the pharmacy & was told at the window "We JUST received the order, so it will be about an hour". I explained to the person working the window that what she was telling me could not be right, I watched the technician send the Rx to the pharmacy around 11:30 (give or take a few minute) & the reason they send the Rx to the Pharmacy ahead of time is to ENSURE that the prescription is ready to start before the anesthesia wears off. Seems like a good reason to me!! Nonetheless, I decided to go to a nearby grocery store to get some soft food & smoothie ingredients to be prepared for the days ahead. I get an automated text message from Bartell's saying they need insurance information. I call the number provided and I am placed on hold. Since the hold was longer than 5 minutes I drive back to the store, walk to the pharmacy & wait for someone to acknowledge me.. still on hold, 8,9,10 minutes later.. no one picked up the phone. I gave my insurance card to a person on auto pilot & asked what time my dentists office sent the prescription over. She told me she didn't have that information & tells me to wait to be called. I sit down waiting for the Rx, once my name is called I ask the Pharmacist the time stamp & she tells me 11:36 .. FINALLY!! One person that doesn't LIE!! Paige is shockingly still employed here and is as awful as ever. I just leave if I see her. She's a disgrace of a human. Now to add insult to injury there is another curt woman up from with her who is just as rude and unhelpful. This woman (dark hair, accent) is annoyed every time I go in. Not just with me. She's annoyed with everyone-- her colleagues, the other customers, the people on the phone. This place is a royal cranky old lady fest. I used to love this pharmacy before Rite Aid took over. When Wendy and Rick were there. They were kind humans who cared, were patient and thoughtful and kind. I hate Bartells now. Oh and your staff in the store part suck too. I have waited 6 days for my prescriptions to be filled. These are medications to help with a chronic snd painful condition that is difficult to live with. My husband has been there twice. I have talked on the phone to the pharmacy twice. I was told they would call me back...never happened. They keep telling me they had a system update that went bad. ...for 6 days. What a lame excuse. The pharmacy folks were so very rude! This is not the first time we have had trouble, but this was over the top. I came in shortly before "LUNCH", and the employee was more concerned about leaving for lunch, actually they all were, than helping me and the other customers too. The lady (cashier # 69763812) on 10-21-22 waiting on me was very impatient with me, and treated me like I was an inconvenience to her and not a valued customer. This Store is so personable and professional l. I go in there with an arm full of different things I need to ship and they are so helpful. Just so things go smoothly try and have all your packages addressed. They are great. They do not ship out of the country , I do not believe. Their pharmacy may be slow, but at least they have poor service. The drive through seems to be closed more often than it's open. I guess 5 people working in the pharmacy is too few to also operate the drive through and offer the consistently poor service that we have all come to expect. They close for 30 minutes for lunch because they all need to have lunch at the same time and that's more important than serving customers. At least this store lets them close an extra 15 minutes early so they all get a 45 minute lunch together despite the 30 minute posted time. The majority of the staff are hard working, knowledgeable, and friendly. The one massive exception is Paige. Paige is so rude, snappy, rolls her eyes, huffs, and is overall openly hostile. I absolutely hate calling or going to get my RX's. I have my spouse do it the majority of the time because dealing with this individual fills me with so much stress and anxiety, I'd rather go without my medication than have to deal with her. I thought maybe she had a personal vendetta against me with as awful as she's been, but reading these reviews makes it clear to me that she's just a miserable and nasty person who is hell bent on making others just as miserable. In no way, shape, or form should this woman be dealing with patients. The pharmacy has issues, yes, but by far the biggest and worst issue is Paige. Also of note: Lisa and Cheryl are absolute treasures and I give a huge sigh of relief every time I deal with them. They both deserve raises! (THEY get 5 stars). read more

I figured it was Bartell's - I've been going to Bartell's around the area for 20+ years and they are always great, in particular the pharmacies. Not here. The pharmacy staff is rude and condescending and really makes you feel you are a bother. They don't seem to care much that people coming to them and calling them might be in a bad spot and really need a medication. Empathy is one of the most important skills in their job, but it doesn't seem to be of value at this location. I will definitely be choosing another pharmacy after this experience. read more

The pharmacy is the problem. We loved this pharmacy Going back a decade. When they store moved locations however, something changed. They are not as helpful and on top of things as they used to be. I have no explanation for this. The pandemic hit them hard, no doubt, but recently the slowness of the service, prescriptions just not being ready, long lines, and now a "systems update" wherein every prescription I called in has vanished. Do NOT use this pharmacy unless you want to perpetually wait on hold when you call them. They will put you on hold and never answer the phone. I finally hung up after 96 minutes on hold. Once you go there, better set aside at least 90 minutes for them to get around to filling your prescription - even when it was called in by your doctor a couple days earlier. They are unapologetic about your wait time and will likely screw up your prescription if you have more than one medication being called in. How they stay in business is a huge mystery to me. Last time I was there waiting almost two hours to get a prescription filled that they said was ready, I saw at least a dozen people complain to the pharmacy staff about their horrible service. *This is a review for the pharmacy* I had a procedure done to my foot and my doctor prescribed me an antibiotic because I had already shown some signs of infection on that foot. She called it in to this pharmacy at 5pm and told me to start it that same night. I went to pick it up around 8pm and they informed me it wasn't ready and that they would "put me on the fast track list so it would be filled sooner. But if you want to hang around, jus keep your phone on you and we may have it done tonight. But we close at 9, so it will definitely be done by morning" so I went home, and no call. Which was no problem, it had been close to closing for them so I wasn't surprised. So the next afternoon (today) I went in at 12 (noon) and the middle aged woman in the window was super curt with me about the fact that I had returned to check on it without receiving a text or call from them. So I left and called again at 5pm and the phone rang for 2 minutes before going to voicemail. I still haven't received a call or text. It's been just over 24 hours since my procedure so I have taken the bandages off to soak my foot and it is obviously really irritated still, but is also definitely showing signs of the original infection from before my procedure. The office I went to will be closed all weekend, but I will try to have the Rx moved to another pharmacy tomorrow morning if it's not done. read more

What a nice store! The people there are so friendly and attentive! They have great food deals and the selection of snacks, holy cow! -with better pricing than at the nearby grocery store, too! Lots of local items! From gift-like items, cool cosmetics to toys, the aisles seemed well-stocked. Super clean and well organized. There was a line at the pharmacy but I could overhear how nice they are and seemed busy! My checkout was smooth and they just seemed like happy people with a good vibe. I just moved here. I was there for my scheduled flu and booster shots. I waited 50 mins to be finally seen. When I finally got to sit in the chair for my shots. The lady who administered it seemed annoyed to the max and just stabbed the needles in my arm. I was absolutely shocked and will never come back to bartell drugs. I even asked her, why she didn't squeeze my arm befor administering the shots. She replied, "oh yeah, we do that and sometimes we do it this way" I will never recommend Bartell Drugs to anyone. Today was my first and will be my last trip to this store. I waited 5-10 minutes for someone to ring up my one item I was getting. I waited while the staff fawned over some lady who came in with her dog. Then I was finally waited on but the two ladies kept their conversation with one another going without even acknowledging me. Now on to the post office to mail something. WTH with the 2.00 service fee on top of 4.00 I was already spending to mail a birthday present locally!?!? I feel like when they moved they left their ability to make you feel acknowledged, welcome and your value as a customer! I knew I didn't want to give them my patronage when the Ram opened and they had someone playing vigilante with the parking spaces and taking down license plates. I love supporting our local Washington pharmacy and all the local brands it carries. The new location is beautiful but it did seem to loose some space, taking away a lot of the gift area and clearance shelves. I can still always find great deals though - look out for their coupons because you can use them on top is sale items, making us bargain shoppers happy! People who need medication right away should not go to this pharmacy. This pharmacy is really turning around. After the hiccups of switching to Rite Aid's technology things are running remarkably smooth. I get text notifications that my medicine is ready and it happened same day with a prescription my doctor sent in. They even called me to make a note of a dosage increase (that I was aware of) but I'm just really impressed at the attention to detail and care put into it. On the retail side there seems to be a fair amount of newer employees and they're all courteous, helpful, and pleasant. I love to see this for Bartells, this location is really shining like I remember the company to be. read more

I've been with Bartell for about 15 years and never really had any issues but ever since being sold to Rite-Aid, Bartell's pharmacy "service" has been horrible. They never answer the phone, the app to refill prescriptions is now useless and they are constantly out of medications! I've been picking up prescriptions here for sometime now but the last 2 months every single time I've gone my prescriptions are not ready. They tell me it's gonna be done on a certain day at a certain time and 2 days later the prescription of still not filled. I've talked to managers but nothing has changed.
