This was my first time going here. The margarita was strong but over priced I mean the pitcher was like $46 bucks.The tacos were NOT good. The shrimp was good, it was way better than all the rest and I had chicken and the sesame ribeye as well the chicken by far THE WORST I've EVER had it taste like the chicken was in spaghetti sauce with cilantro and onions NO. Worst $60 bucks I spent. I spent $60 bucks and had two margaritas, and 7 tacos. Usually I wouldn't mind the price but the FOOD WAS NASTY. Drinks were STRONG though. I was here for the fist time last week. It was so nice! We sat outside which was really nice and they had heaters and blankets to keep people warm. Their ordering system is kind of like a sushi restaurant so you fill out a form with what you want and your waiter will come pick it up. We had several of the tacos and the corn. It was all really good and very filling for small plates. To drink I had the Sanguina which was delicious! Their drinks are a little over priced ($10 for a house margarita) so I don't recommend it for just drinks. Overall a great place that I'm excited to visit again! read more

We ordered the pork, duck, fish, ribeye, and oysters tacos. Grilled corn, and pork tamale. Also tried the Blanco tequila taster, and the mojito. I would only return for the duck taco and my husband didn't desire to return at all. Corn is good if you can stand the smell of cojita cheese. Tamale had good flavor but nothing to call home about. Overpriced and overrated. They've got the ambiance part diwn, we won't return. read more

Eiisa--the manager--is absolutely outstanding. Went back tonight for the first time in a year. We had an issue with a prior visit (there was some uncertainty as to who had our table) and we went next door to eat instead. She heard what happened, AND RAN OVER TO THE OTHER RESTAURANT TO FIND US AND APOLOGIZE. Seriously. That's customer service. She remembered us tonight and couldn't have been more welcoming. The hospitality was outstanding. Food, as always, was delicious. I LOVE the fish tacos here, but pretty much all the tacos are very good. Chips and salsa are addictive, and the drinks are strong and a perfect compliment to the food. If you want fantastic service, ask to be seated in "HAM's" section. He will take excellent care of you. Very attentive with a wonderful sense of humor, and very good at his job. Also as a side note--enjoyed the band there this evening. Did not catch the name, but they were very good, and added to the overall ambiance. This place has some of the best seating on N Highland. They pretty much print money here, and for good reason. Good food, strong drinks, great seating, reasonable prices and an awesome leader in Elisa. Very happy to put this place back into our rotation!! read more

Bartaco is an amazing place to relax, drink, and eat. Last month (06-06-17), my husband and I ate here for the first time and we are back. At the time, we were so undecided with the many taco options that Roy was so kind to put a sampler plate of tacos together for us and boy were they good. The best new spot in Inman Park! I've never seen such an accommodating and vibrant team. So sweet, so welcoming, so festive. The drinks are ON POINT. Fresh juice squeezed for every cocktail, unique combinations, and extremely knowledgable bar staff. Wes is an amazing bartender! He made every drink we asked for with excitement and ease - even if it involved 6 ingredients (and/or it didn't exist in the menu). They are staffed to the max and everyone is so helpful. The whole bar was so friendly and - Aj and Jameson were especially amazing throughout the the night, too! Food wise, everything is so good and so fresh. The tacos do not compare to anywhere else, SO unique and versatile. This kick off crew is beyond amazing, they definitely know how to acclimate themselves to the neighborhood and make you feel like home. Stefano made us feel like we were VIPs, thank you! Our lunch at bartaco was tasty, but there are still some improvements this new joint can make. In time, it would not surprise me if the reviews get better and better. We have eaten at this restaurant before, but not this location. I want to say the flavors of our food were wonderful and our server was kind and attentive. We both ordered lunch trays, which come with three tacos and choice of a soup or salad. We both had chicken soup. It was great, but there were several bones (at least 5) in my bowl. This just tells me the person responsible for checking for bones in the broth making process was more than a little lazy. We spoke to our sever and the manager and they both profusely apologized and also comped us more than necessary. In addition, the manager gave us tokens for four free tacos on our next visit. Their desire to please was evident, and that goes a long way with me as a customer. The wait staff seemed a bit disorganized and there seemed to be a lack of communication between them, but more than likely it stems from the newness of the restaurant and will increase over time. An area of growth would be for the wait staff to explain the concept of the restaurant and the style of ordering here. You order from a card rather than informing your server. Given our past experience we knew what to do, but the table beside us seemed a little confused. A simple "have you been here before? This is how it works..." Would completely fix this! Due to the style of service (multiple trays piled on the table) we sometimes struggled for places to put drinks and new trays. We enjoyed the service and the flavors (the pork belly tacos were especially delicious), as well as the feel of bartaco. It will not be some place we frequent, but will absolutely come here on occasion. They are not your typical Mexican place, as everything is ordered a la carte, and the choices are less standard (you can't get duck tacos just anywhere!). All in all, we will be back and look forward to watching this place progress. read more

I stopped by Bartaco for the first time today and was super impressed! The food was incredible and the service couldn't have been better. I had the Baja fish taco, shrimp taco, portobello taco, ceviche, and corn. I loved the tacos but the hero of the meal was definitely the corn! The corn was so amazing we actually opted for a second round after the meal! Make sure you save room for dessert though because the churros and the key lime pie are out of this world! I can't say enough good things about this place, I would highly recommend it to anyone! read more

My friends and I ate here twice over the weekend and loved it both times. One of the days, we had a very minor snafu with our bill, no big deal at all. Even thought it was fixed right away, Brandon offered us taco coins and since I live in DC, he offered me tapa coins for their DC Barcelona location!! Score. This is my second time visiting this location and I prefer it over the Marietta St location by far. I decided to take my mom here today for lunch and she loves the atmosphere and vibe of the highlands area, as do I. Today I ordered two duck tacos, a redfish taco, a sesame ribeye taco and two chicken pastor tacos. I have tried all of them before prior to this visit with the exception of the redfish taco. The duck and ribeye are my go to selections and I recently tried the chicken pastor on a previous visit. The duck and ribeye were cooked. too. perfection. per usual. My mom got two duck tacos herself and said it was her favorite as well. She sampled my ribeye and thought it was good as well. We both agreed the redfish taco was a little bland. When trying the tacos for the first time I try to let them shine on their own and not overpower them with salsa (the jalapeño and habanero are so good when paired with the right tacos), but I should have put some salsa on it. I was so full I couldn't finish all of my second chicken pastor taco but my mom agreed it was cook well. Aside from her redfish and two duck tacos, she had the crispy rock shrimp and enjoyed the shrimp but felt the slaw and sauce were too much (whenever I order that or the baja fish I get them without the slaw and sauce for the same reason). My only issue is that unless you look up reviews or pictures you don't know exactly what comes on each taco. Of course you can ask the server but I feel it should be explained in detail on the menu so there aren't any surprises. If you're looking for a great variety of tacos to sample, this is the place. I'm a regular at Bartaco Nashville so I decided to try this one tonight... There is a huge difference in the bar,food and service. The one in Nashville is so good I literally make trips to Nashville just to visit Bartaco. The Inman Park location is so bad I will never take the 30 minute drive there again. Server was absolutely terrible never even introduced herself then make matters worse she double charged my card. Please do yourself a face or and go to a better location. read more

5 of us came in around 6:30 and were told there would be a 30-45 minute wait. After about 50 minutes we asked if we would be seated soon, they told us it would be another 20 minutes. After patiently waiting 20 minutes, paying way too much money for drinks at the bar (margaritas were delicious), we noticed 3 open tables and asked if we would be seated at one of them. After finally being seated, our waitress took about 10 minutes to come to our table and was not very attentive afterwards. They were out of salsa, and brought us all of our tacos on one tray with no extra plates (they said they were out of plates as well). We told the waitress the experience had been terrible and she talked to the manager who took care of our meal, apologized, and gave us a gift card as well as his personal cell phone number to call ahead next time we go. The experience was initially frustrating but the apology was sincere and recovery was commendable. Hopefully next time will be better. read more

it was alright. I was not wowed by the taco choices. The only taco of 3 that I really enjoyed the flavor was the pork belly taco. The sesame ribeye and the duck tacos were just sort of ok. I mean, I could get the same sort of tacos at my local taco joint so why hit Inman Park? Parking is a pain unless you want to park in the deck. We came here on a recent Sunday late lunch. We were greeted very nice and seated promptly. Our server explained the menu to us and we ordered a glass of Cava and a Mojito. He was very friendly and knowledgable. The Cava got served in a wine glass, which really bothered me, but I didn't say anything. We started off with the guacamole which was very well flavored with a hint of heat! We ordered lots of tacos, ceviche, salsa verde, cucumber salad. Me and two of my friends went here on a Friday night and it was packed out. We "called ahead" which didn't help our wait BUT the drinks were so good we didn't mind. I got the shrimp and pork belly which were both awesome! The shrimp is spicy so beware. They have a lot of options on the menu and decent, but pricey drinks, however I've been multiple times and keep getting the same bad service. My order is wrong more often than not and usually coming with a group, it's inconvenient to have to send things back or wait on items that didn't make it to the table. If with a group, be prepared to be served family style, with everything making it to the table on the same platter. Ordering is fun and unique, and the atmosphere is relaxed and open. read more

Two stars for the food and cocktails, which on my two visits were quite good and would have me coming back - if not for the awful service. On our first visit - we came in early on a weekday evening with my 2 year old and were greeted by friendly hosts and seated promptly. A high chair was promised but never came - no big deal - we got it ourselves. A couple of salsas to taste were promised but came only after we asked again. The friendly manager checked in on us and then sent his favorite dish to our table, which was kind. But then we were charged for it and felt strange about bringing it up. Because the food was good and people were friendly, we chalked it up to a shift change and honest mistakes made on an off night. Second visit - truly the worst dining experience I've had in recent memory. I called ahead because my sister was visiting from out of town for the weekend and it was her 30th birthday week - I thought this would be a fun early dinner spot to celebrate with a toddler in tow. Put ourselves on the call ahead list and asked for the patio - for a quieter place to sit. We were told it's not much quieter outside so said we were open to first available. We were seated inside. The music was atrocious and painfully loud. We asked if we could please wait for an outside table and again were told it's not much quieter, and we would have to wait long. So we sat. The roving hostess was rude and dismissive when we asked if the music could be turned down a notch. I don't know how anyone could hear each other in there - it was terrible. I stepped out on the patio - and found it was definitely quieter. But too late. We ordered and the food took forever to come. For three adults, our 9 tacos came on 2 platters, all mixed up. We asked for an extra plate. It never came. My 2-year old's kids quesadilla never came. The extra chips we asked for never came. 20 minutes after we were done eating and after we had asked for it three times, my child's meal arrived. Our server was rude when we expressed dismay. It seems that she may have been too busy closing out checks, perhaps to get the tips before a shift change, to really attend to us. Needless to say I never even mentioned the birthday I had hoped to celebrate with a dessert. We left incredibly upset and shocked at the horrendous service. Very disappointed. read more
