These guys know how to run a restaurant - they always great you enthusiastically, no matter who's working and no matter if they know you or not. Love the tacos, the koozies with the beer and the atmosphere. read more

My coworker took me here and we grabbed a seat on the comfy couch outside. So cozy out there! We went during the week so it wasn't super crowded and we could relax on couch. We both are and I ordered the tacos ( pork belly, fish and a few others). What I love is you can choose lettuce as your wrap! What woman doesn't love that?!! We also ordered some drinks that were fun and fab. All in all would definitely go back to eat and drink. read more

NO STARS! Horrible service and attitudes. I sat at the bar 15 mins., watched the bar tenders chat, close out tabs, cut up fruit, clean the bar and still no acknowledgement. This used to be a great place, but the turnover is high and the service is at its worse. I waited for a friend and left. I won't be coming back here. Plus, I don't think it's very sanitary for a bar tender to be taking credit cards and cutting up fruit without washing your hands. They need a health inspection visit. read more

Tacos on point: Fried oyster with a drop of the roja sauce. Fish with the habanero - MUAH! (Both are gluten free) Plantains with cilantro garlic jalapeño aioli - dream come true. The ceviche is life. Do yourself a favor and get on this. Over and out! read more

Such a cute place!! Excellent patio with heaters, pillows, cozy blankets and fireplace for cooler nights. Friendly service! Great bartenders! And please do yourself a favor and order the corn as a side....Holy Cow it is amazingly delicious! Verde salsa also yummy and with a kick! Tamales are quite tasty too! Just go....fun and yummmmmy! read more

I've been a patron at this location for many years but sad to say I will not be returning. The food was fine, though they were out of their famous pork belly tacos (half the reason we went). We almost walked out at that moment but were too hungry, though I wish we would have left. The menu being a QR code is okay, given the pandemic, but having to order through a whole app yourself completely defeats the purpose of "dining in". Not to mention, we barely had a dedicated server. I wasn't inclined to tip given we did the job for them, they just had to bring food to our table. I still tipped but in retrospect I really shouldn't have, again tips are for service. The cherry on top was when we found out they no longer validate parking in the parking garage. We were there for barely an hour and had to pay $6.50 in parking. Absolutely not worth it, especially for lunch. If I come back, it may just be for to-go. The lack of service, having to do all the ordering yourself without a server, and no validated parking was the end for me. Oh, and were were looking for the lunch specials which no one mentioned nor was it showing up on their one dine app, but of course we found it on their general website after. Save yourself time and money and if you really want bartaco food, your best bet is to-go. Do NOT dine in! read more

This place is absolutely horrible. The wait staff spent their entire time drama queening around their own personal issues. Watched at least 3 customers enter and just leave as no hostess available. I had to ask for everything, water, napkin, utensils. Ironically, the place was properly, if not over staffed, they just never understood the concept of customer. read more

This is a hip place with relaxing and cool atmosphere and very engaging staff, but the food is pretty mediocre overall (except pork posole that is excellent). The pork belly, chorizo, and duck tacos - tried all of them on two different occasions and they were dry and overcooked. The cocktails are inventive but too weak for the price. Barcelona across the street (sister restaurant, same owners supposedly) is much classier and better ingrediets. Oh, almost forgot: Bartaco has a few absolutely gorgeous staff members if you're into that kind of thing... read more

Slow service. Don't get the spicy margarita unless you're ready to put your mouth on to a fire hydrant. We got 6 different types of tacos and not one of them would have passed the Taco Bell baseline test. If not for the location this establishment would not have any patrons. read more

I've been here twice now. The staff is friendly, the place is beautiful, the vibe is great, however; both times I ordered all my tacos without cilantro and they still had cilantro! The first time I wrote it (no cilantro please)on the menu and told the waiter and I still had cilantro on there. The second time I ordered online and again wrote no cilantro please and when I arrive to pick my order up I had to wait an extra 10 min as they remade my meal. They were nice about and I wasn't upset just a little annoyed because I had to wait longer. I hate cilantro! Lol It would be awesome if they had more veggies in the tacos like fresh lettuce, radish slices, bell peppers, spinach, ect. Each taco was basically the same except for the meat. I think I will wait awhile until I go back. My first experience with Bar Taco was at the first location and I was just blown away by how good the tacos were, that's why I was so excited they were opening a location in Inman Park. Oh! Don't bother getting the rice bowls. It's like $9 or something. It was defiantly a disappointment! Lack of flavor, mushy over sauced rice with very few veggies. The rice bowls do not come as pictured above! read more

Called Monday morning in last minute hopes to get a reservation for 12-15 and ended up having around 20 but the staff remained FANTASTIC! The tacos were great and the drinks were amazing! It wS my bday and they brought out churros with a candle which made my day! Everyone loved the guacamole and the salsa was good too. Can't wait to keep supporting this restaurant read more

Caprihinias are way overpriced! It's cheap rum. A pitcher costs $50 or a glass for $10. I don't think you get 5 drinks from the pitcher. A pitcher should be $25 and a glass $7. read more

The food tastes great, vegetarian friendly which was nice. It's over-priced though and I don't see myself going back any time soon.

Service was superb here. I believe our waiter was Chris, not too sure, but he was very nice and courteous. He informed us that our food was going to take a bit longer and made sure that we didn't feel forgotten. They had a big take out order so we waited a little bit for our food. Then our waiter informed us that our lunch was comped. The manager (Eliza?) came out to apologize for the wait and informed us again about our comped meal. We were happy about the food as well! read more

I have been to this restaurant twice. The 1st time, waited for our food for over an hour and a half. The manager apologized and comped our meal. Although disappointed about the wait, the food was good, and I wanted to come back. Bad idea! Decided to give it another shot. This time, we got our food pretty fast. However, our drinks (pineapple juice) didn't arrive until we were halfway done with our meals. Was told the bar was backed up. Once my drink arrived, I saw what I thought was a blueberry floating in my drink. I glanced again b/c something looked off about this blueberry. We dug it out of my drink (I already drank some of it) and what I thought was a blueberry turned out to be a small vile. I was told it was a refill for a vape pin. Told the manager, who looked mortified. Another employee came out to apologize and said they were reviewing the cameras. He asked if he could get the bill over to me. I politely told him there was a vile in my drink, I will not be paying for anything. I couldn't even finish my meal! I told him to review the cameras and tell me how that got in my drink. He left and came back to say the meal was free and to apologize. They were still reviewing the footage. Horrible experience. As much as I like the ambiance and food, I will never eat here again read more

One of the coolest places to hang out in Atlanta. I knocked one star because the restaurant is so loud on Friday night. I was not able to have a conversation easily due to the number of people there and the DJ. Also because with the salsa they give you very few chips. I recommend the plantains and the fish tacos. This place would not be good for a first or second date, or meet the parents - because you cannot easily have a conversation. Maybe lunchtime or sitting outside would be quieter. read more

Tasty, but comically small servings of everything. I'm not necessarily into huge American-sized portions all the time, but you can definitely drop $25 on lunch and a beer here and still leave hungry. read more

Muy bien! Tacos, quesadillas, guac, drinks, the seating, service, everything was great. I will definitely be back for more.

A 5 star outing today. Plum was on point and eccentric and cool. She told us about the secret taco- dope and comped. Good day with the sun shining on the patio. read more

All the restaurants were booked so we ended up at BarTaco and what a pleasant surprise. From the beginning, it was really good. The music and atmosphere were great, we started off with delicious margaritas. The food came in really fast, my friends and I got the chicken tacos, shrimp tacos, chips and salsa, cheese quesadilla, plantain and ceviche and it was all really good. read more

Stopped this afternoon with a friend. Took ten or so minutes for the server to come over after being seated. After ordering drinks, at about the fifteen minute mark, I asked the host to cancel the order. The ice water was cold, that's something. Update: The manager contacted me through Yelp after the review and was very apologetic in an authentic way. I think the restaurant was having a bad day, don't let my experience keep you from enjoying the patio. read more

I've been here at least 4 times. I love tacos. I'm easy. I'm forgiving. BUT every single time I've gone the service has been awful. Once I went in mid afternoon and they were not very busy. I waited and waited and waited for someone to come bring water or take my order. I finally had to go find someone to do so. Another time I ordered take out. Checked the order before I left and it was completely wrong.... what a waste of time. The most recent time was last night. To go into details would be to write at least three pages. The service was not just bad, but offensive. We left without eating our cold appetizers. We went to Beetlecat next door where we were welcomed with big smiles and warmth. There we received impeccable service. They even comped a few items because we shared what kind of night we were having + our experience at Bar Taco and they wanted to add some cheer and celebration into a night that was meant to be. Now that's service. Skip Bar Taco, the long waits, and poor service and try any one of the other exceptional places in Inman Park--- or make them tacos at home. seriously. I learned the hard way. I'm done with this place. read more

the food was amazing but it took a while. we got half of our meals and the other half took 30 minutes on top of what we already waited. our waitress walked passed us when we said "excuse me" multiple times! honestly this experience does not live up to the hype. read more

Just an update, June is our favorite server! The food is still amazing, consistent every time. The guac is the best I have ever had anywhere! Even though it is always busy, we always get seated within less that 15 mins. Such a great place! read more

Steven and Louis were absolutely accommodating with an extreme corn allergy of a friend I was having lunch with. The chef, Branden, even took time to clean the kitchen of corn to cook her food. We had a great experience! The food and ambiance was also great! read more

Listen I'm such a regular here they know me by first and nickname. And every Tuesday (which is when I go) Ashley the hostess has my order already filled out on the ticket so when I get there all I have to do is pay. We had a party of 7. Half the food came within 15 min the other half after 35 min. And the waiter couldn't figure out who got what tacos. Ok food. Expensive drinks. Bad service! read more

Perfect atmosphere to unwind after a long day. I've been several times without reservations and am typically seated immediately. The tapas style menu is ideal for sharing. I especially love the guacamole and plantains. Only downfalls are occasional spotty service and tiny tacos lacking flavor. But margaritas and the rest of the menu make up for it! read more

bartaco - Weekday night, not a worry in sight. - Mexican Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

Service was good but the food here is bad. Skip this restaurant and grab a taco box from the grocery store, you'll be better satisfied.

It's a cool bar. Taco's are authentic Mexican street style. I like the sesame beef the best but I would mix and match if you go to sample as many as possible. read more

Food was decent. Unfortunately our service was tough to get through. Waited for a while for a table, that's fine, but it was 30 minutes past the communicated wait time. Then the waitress missed 4 items that were ordered. Took 30 minutes for our 1st drinks....that apparently never made it into the system. The my comped our drink and apologized, but service never got better. Sad, disappointing experience. I'm currently stilling waiting on the check 15 minutes later. read more

Talia is the girl to see at the bar! She made us the Spring Caipirinha that's their own variation of the Brazilian Caipirinha w an orange twist & it was the perfect summer twist with a bit of orange flavor. The second drink was the Red Sonja that requires her taste of a hot fresh pepper to make the best reposado tequila drink with ginger, lemon juice & peychaud's bitters. Come see this pretty young lady. The right choice. read more

This is my favorite location of all the bar tacos. The patio is the best here in my opinion. I love the environment with the outdoor fire pits, the bench style seating and the location right in Inman park. The food and margaritas here are great too. Always get the margarita pitcher... It's a must. My favorite tacos are the fried oyster, sesame rib eye and duck. I'm always disappointed with the chorizo taco when I come here. Not enough flavor and always kind of burnt. Overall, great spot. Guac is a must too. Very fresh avocado read more

The service and atmosphere were very nice. The food, however was mediocre. Maybe next time, I'll just drink :)

Finally made it here after the urging of friends and it didn't disappoint. Our server was great with us being newbies and our food was delicious. The serving sizes are smaller than we thought but we just bought more. The corn on the cob, amazeballs We'll be back read more

Not bad! There was si six of us and that it was obviously very busy, we got a table with little wait. I was a bit wary about some of the taco combinations but pleasantly surprised. The guacamole was off the chain! Fresh lime juice in drinks, and wonderful service. Not your usual Mexican fare. Bring a group, you order tacos like you do sushi. With a pencil. Defiantly coming again. read more

This was my second visit to Atlanta and I made sure to visit this spot because the atmosphere is really great! Super comfortable, great for large parties, families, or lovers. The pot belly, and fish taco were the best for me. The service wasn't really great, however, because I love the decor and feel of the place I had to give it five stars. Margarita's were amazing as well. Will definitely go back with friends.
