I had mine with the greens and the corn on the cob. She had her catfish with the cornbread and corn on the Cobb. I took mine to Vegas home and heated it up and I enjoyed it. I forgot to mention I have the Black Eyed Peas as well. They were good too. Everything was delicious. I passed on the tartar sauce, but the hot sauce was a little tasty and spicy as well I'd recommend them if you rolling through from Vegas to the Bay or Vegas to LA. The staff there is friendly shine has hooked me up several times there and he'll make your plate just the way you want it. They have a clean restroom and ample seating if you wanna dine in if you know what you want, you have to go ahead and order it because they do sell out of many of the items I've gone there in the past and see the oxtails and the ribs sold out. They have desserts as well if that's what you're into if you have a taste for comfort food, southern twist as your spot on the way through the desert and located in Barstow right off E. Main St. That is right across from the Tesla charging station!

Hello, First off, I…read morehave to say that we absolutely love your place! We have been customers for several years. I feel like we need to bring this to your attention. Me and my husband, along with the a group of friends were in your place of business last Saturday night to watch Red Rabbit, who we love and follow. Around 12 or 1230 we noticed some commotion at the bar. Much to our surprise, your "new manager" was causing quite the issue with his boyfriend. Earlier in the night, he seemed to be actually managing the bar, however, at this time he was what seemed to be belligerent drunk. This went on for some time, even continuing out to the patio with customers trying to end the chaos. He was cussing, yelling at his boyfriend and demanding the Bartender serve him another drink. Once his boyfriend, was able to get him to leave, we even witnessed him punching a chair on his way out of the bar! I don't know the owners of this bar. I think they would like to know what happens when they are not there. This place used to be a great place to hang out with family and friends. This is not the first time we've witnessed drunk behavior from this manager. I have to say,, your Bar has a couple really good bartenders. And that is a reason we continue to come back. If this is the way the new vibe is in this bar, we will find another place to hang out. I truly hope that it gets handled. It is not fair to the customers, nor the rest of your staff.

We chatted with our waitress about the upcoming events being hosted such as country night, karaoke night etc. Sounds like a lot of fun. The high desert needs places like this available to hang out in rather than having to travel up and down the hill just to get out for the night. Pool table, darts, and even board games available!

Tonight we celebrated our Son's 56th birthday and 4 of us celebrated Mother's Day. 14 of us. Wow! It seemed like every staff member worked so hard to give us the best service. Great team work! We had exquisite food and everyone had something different. We tip our hats to the chef. Your toasted bread perfection (the best), the salads, the dinners the desserts and drinks were wonderful. We highly recommend this family owned restaurant to everyone. The best atmosphere and more. I wish I'd taken some pictures. Well I guess we will have to back. We will share pictures soon. We all agreed this was a wonderful night. Thank you The Ciachouse.com

The kids had a hard time with the menu because it shows the names in Italian, but the description is in English and easy to understand. The food is still good, the ambiance nice for a date night where you might want privacy, and the staff was pleasant and attentive. I was also pleased that the waiter was able to suggest a wine like they do in fancy movies. I love wine but always forget the names of the ones I like most. We will definitely be coming back here again.

Steelhead tartar - Just ok, a tartar paste on a big thin cracker. Difficult to share. Pork Jowl - Did not like the sauce. The meat was kinda like a chasiu but just not very good. Easy to share. Chicken wings - This is the only thing that was well portioned as they give you 5 whole wings, but they are plain. The wings from Baccali are so much better. Grilled fish collar - Not bad but the mint didn't really go that well with it. Dan dan campanelle - Disappointing. Not good dandan flavor and it's a small bowl. Hainan Fish - WAY overpriced and it's just whatever. Why ruin something so simple and good? Duck drumstick on taro - WAY overpriced. One drumstick on a bed of taro mash with taro fries. It's cool the food is locally sourced and blah blah blah but it's hard to appreciate when it is not good. The price is 3x more than a real Chinese restaurant where you can get more skillfully cooked food, so value-wise it's quite poor and the reason for my low rating. Less then 10 minutes away you have access to some of the greatest Chinese food in America so why would you come here? Also the small restaurant is insanely loud and made for a poor atmosphere. Service was good.
