Wow - Considering we had a good visit at the other location in north Phoenix, the experience was quite different. We felt very rushed to place our order. The good news is that I was able to request the vegan cheese for my pizza. My mom ordered the ravioli, and my brother had the antipasto and a sandwich. The dining room area was a disaster, and overall, it lacked the family-friendly theme from the other location in north Phoenix. The raviolis were buried in a 40-foot shipping container of red sauce. They were screaming to be pulled out of all that sauce. Ridiculous. My side salad was decent. Nothing to write home about, but my vegan pizza with mushrooms and olives was very good. Whoever made it knew exactly how much vegan cheese to use for coverage. It did not look like some other vegan pizzas, where the cheese melted like matchsticks. Best pizza I have had in a while! The crust is soft and there is a good balance of toppings, cheese, and sauce. There is plenty of indoor seating and they are located in a shopping center that also has plenty of parking in their lot. The staff was super friendly and you could build your own salad from a variety of available options. The price was very good for the quantity and quality of food. I hate to post a bad review for this place, but I was so looking forward to the pizza and wings as I have passed this place several times. Right now disappointed is the only word that I can come up with. First of all, let me say that this place has one heck of a following though! I guess you either love it or hate it. There was a long line at the front of the store and a continuous stream of people coming through the door. It was New Year's Eve, so I don't know if that was why or not. I ordered the barrios supreme with no mushrooms and 12 traditional wings extra crispy with spicy barbecue sauce. I've eaten pizza at a lot of places here in Phoenix and unfortunately, this one was my least favorite. The crust is like eating pizza on a slice of bread. There's really no flavor to the crust and the toppings were pretty bland as well! I was shocked by both. After ordering the extra crispy wings, what I got were barbecue sauce, soaked regular wings that were chewy and not the least bit crunchy. Maybe they were rushed cooking both the pizza and the wings due to the number of people placing orders, I'm not sure. I do know that I can't justify going back when there are so many other great pizza spots nearby. read more

I then ask what's going on. I ordered well-done wings and a well done pizza They made traditional wings. The pizza sat there while they made the boneless wings. My family absolutely loves Barro's. So yummy. The pizzas, wings, salads, etc. So good. Recently I attempted to place an order for delivery online & got an error message. So I ended up picking up from another local pizza place, nearly the same order. However, apparently my order for delivery actually went through. So just after I got home with pizza & wings, I was surprised with a delivery. Spent a lot of money on pizza & wings that everyone. Thankfully none went to waste. And we prefer Barro's. This isn't the typical location we go to, but on our way to the airport to pick up my son and he requested barros! We stopped in, ordered, and we were out the door within 20 minutes with 2 pizzas. The place was clean, the staff was professional, and of course the pizza was amazing! My son was happy to see the pizza - maybe more than seeing me. LOL! read more

I had to keep going back to tell what I wanted, and it never took me to the same page. 2/21/24 update... Not much change. No cashier to take an order when waiting at the counter. Then she does not listen to the order after i tell her what i want. Then wants me to sign a credit card receipt upside down. Clearly customer service is lacking. Salad bar is still unaccesible, so no way to make ones own salad. Every empty table in the dining room is dirty. Moved the dirty dishes to have a place to sit. I will wait another year to check back to see if things change. However so far the place is worse than it used to be before remodling. read more

Even though Barros may not be gourmet pizza, it's definitely better than the national chains out there. We have ordered for delivery and take out from this location many times and haven't experienced any issues. The pizzas are tasty and the wings aren't bad either. We usually stick to cheese and pepperoni but I've also had their chicken pizzas and they are pretty solid. I think the price is right too, especially if you stop in for their single slice lunch deals. Probably one of the best deals around. Staff has always been friendly. You can get thin crust or traditional crust here which is nice. The thin crust isn't super thin though, I think it's just right. They also have a variety of side items available should you be interested. I'd recommend checking them out if you want some no frills, classic pizza. read more

Came to this location because we have one in Texas and it's one of my favorite spots. I should've read the reviews before I showed up made. My order waited was delivered within ample time, however upon receiving it, I was asked if I wanted peppers or Parmesan, which I stated yes also asked for thing of ranch and pepper Cheaneys at which time I was told there's an extra cost Question the girl stated that's a first in Texas. You guys don't charge for that well we do hear rudely and walked away if a patron from another state is coming to pay patronage to your location here and I was going to write a review about how much I love the pizza however your service is in great demand and lacking, it was the girl with the tattoos on her neck and arms. The other girls seem to be pleasant and easy to work with from the interactions that I witnessed up to my receipt of my pizza maybe consider I will not be going back to this location, and I warn others of the similar incident that I had. read more

So disappointed with their customer service and online website for ordering. Friday night at 5:26 I placed an order. Was told it would be 60 min. So after waiting an hour an 20 mins later I called to see if pizza would be here soon. The girl in the phone said it was already out for delivery and it would be another 15 min. Ugh! Ok fine two cranky young hungry children with bedtime approaching. We waited and called again after 18 min and asked to speak to a manager. I had to leave and go hit the drive thru. My husband spoke to someone after being on hold for 8 min. He told them to cancel our order they said it was already on the way. He said no just cancel it and refund our card.
