I made an appointment, took the van in and explained that I read an online article stating that in most instances an oil change will solve the problem. I asked for an oil change to see if the article proved correct. I did not ask for a computer diagnostic scan. However, they did one anyway and charged me $60. When I called, they were unwilling to make any adjustment in the charge. They've had my business for several years and I've referred others to them. One would think a business would want to keep a customer and have the customer continue referrals. Seems like very poor business sense to me to not desire to satisfy the customer. Instead of a happy returning customer referring others they now have a person writing a nasty review and telling friends to stay away from this place.

I explained what happened and he said it was the starter. When Napa opened, I walked there and bought the starter. I pushed the vehicle next door and dropped it off. It was the weekend and they weren't open. First, they said they'd call and let me know the price BEFORE they worked on it. But they didn't. I had to call multiple times to find out what was going on. They told me they'd make sure it was the starter before they did anything. Two day's later with 1 hour till they closed, they told me the price, and essentially I had 45 minutes to get it if I wanted it that day. Well I need it for work, soooo. Next, when I picked it up, they charged me 189$ I ALREADY BOUGHT THE STARTER, for 220$ I was told by multiple mechanics I know that it's a fast easy fix. Like most people said maybe 30 minutes Soooo 189 for 30 minutes of work? Seriously!? Then when I was paying the guy said their work Isn't warrantied because I got the part somewhere else. What! Then they told me they added 30$ because I didn't buy the part from them! I understand the owner has cancer and I'm sure is struggling in a small town. Who knows. But this is taking advantage of people. Next time, I'll push my car down the road somewhere else.
