A while back I called A&A Mechanical to service my Generac generator. I called Generac directly as…read morethe home I bought this year came with a large generator. I have never had a generator before and didn't know what needed to be done on it. They gave me a list of companies that service their generators near my home, and A&A was a company within my town. I called and scheduled an appointment with them in a few days. What was great was that I found out from them, that they used to service the generator for the old owner of my house. They came, performed service on the generator and set it up so I get it serviced once a year. Technician was friendly and explained to me how my generator worked, how it would test the system every week, pretty much gave me a lot of useful info. I am very glad I did get it service because two weeks later, my area lost power for an entire day. Seems some squirrel(s) messed around a nearby electrical substation. Immediately my generator kicked in... and it's an amazing generator powered my entire home! I so could have used this when I lived in Miami during hurricane season! If I didn't get it serviced, I would have been without power and I would have lost a stand alone freezer and a refrigerators worth of food... so I saved a lot of money! If you have a generator, get regular service.... and get it from A&A! Seems also per the website they also do work in plumbing, heating and A/C... so something to keep in mind too.

He was here a little over an hour, and repaired the capacitor in our compressor that was the issue with our air conditioning. He was professional, kind, and did a great job. He got our compressor up and running, and our air conditioning is now running again. They followed up to make sure everything was as expected, and after the original failure in communication and service, they put it right. I wish we hadn't had the issues with them that we had originally, but I do appreciate that they were quick to offer to rectify the problem, and provided top notch service. Original: Last summer we scheduled a service call to check out AC unit. I advised at least three people that the AC unit we have is not a traditional AC system. They all told me they'd send a technician that could work on it. A young man showed up and advised he didn't work on those systems and had never seen one. He cleaned our compressor, refused to check anything in our attic and then left. Fast forward to this week. Our AC goes out Friday and I scheduled an appointment via their website for Monday morning at 8am. Monday noon rolls around, nothing from Korte. I call and ask about arrival time. They can't guarantee me anything and left me on the schedule. Monday evening, around 7pm, I get a text that my Monday appointment was now moved to Tuesday. On Tuesday, I received another text that they weren't going to make it on that day either (so many emergencies for people without AC - yeah, like us) and we needed to reschedule again. We decided to go with another company, and will use them for any and all heating or cooling needs going forward. DO NOT use Korte. The customer service is non-existent, and if you can get someone out to the job, they won't know what to do. They cost us at least three business days of getting our system fixed, and additional days because now we have to get slotted in with another company.

The worst issue happened twice: our annual inspection checks were cashed, yet our appointments were later cancelled for nonpayment. Did they bother to call us to let us know the appointment was cancelled or inform us that payment hadn't been received? No. It wasn't until a calendar reminder went off that I had to call them myself. Despite this being their error, they could not fit us in for months. Because of this delay, our AC was inspected at the end of summer rather than mid-spring when it should have been done. Its frustrating dealing with such disorganization when they used to be better. It is clear that management does not care about these mistakes, which is why I am giving this a poor rating. Based on these changes and price hikes, I would recommend finding a locally owned HVAC company instead of one that has been bought out and having all its value extracted, likely to be gutted for parts.
