The corned beef sandwich was outstanding! We also ordered the classic Italian sandwich which was also excellent. The corned beef is made in house and was tender, flavorful and juicy. Served on rye which was a perfect choice. The staff was all very nice. Next time I'm in Cleveland I'm stopping by for a sandwich. It's also very close to the Rock N Roll museum

Found this restaurant in Downtown Cleveland, very friendly and hospitable service. I ordered the shawarma platter and my party ordered the Mediterranean dish that came with hummus. The meat of my shawarma was a little bland but the other ingredients tasted fresh. The Mediterranean dish on the other side was excellent. The pita bread was homemade and the hummus had lots of flavor. Lots of parking available and great service, the staff was very welcoming!

Turkey Club Sandwich with garlic Mayo

Stopped in on the way to work to grab a quick lunch. The woman taking my order was kind enough to recommend a sandwich I could grab and go and would leave me feeling satisfied. She mentioned the garlic Mayo was good enough to eat on just about anything, so I had to have it! I'm not a huge bread fan so I removed the third slice of bread in my sandwich. I was thoroughly satisfied. The garlic mayo was the perfect spread for this sandwich. Next time, I'll ask for it toasted. The deli was a cross between and old-school diner and a bar. I'll definitely be giving them a try for dine-in.

Duplex Sandwich Turkey and house made corned beef

Hands done, one of the best meals we had in Cleveland. I'm sad we didn't find this place earlier or we would have been back more than once. Service was great and the food was on point.

Horsey Roast Beef and local lager

We stopped in for a quick bite after the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame. Quiet, quick service and amazing food! Must try the Cole slaw and Potato salad although the fresh cut fries were super appealing as well. Definitely great overall

Reuben & cajun French fries

Some of the best corned beef I've ever had! Everything was fresh and the service is top tier! This was my first time having it and I'll for sure be back.

Turkey Reuben and French Fries with pasta salad

Old classic diner with the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. I came over quick from the airport to get a quick lunch to take back. I parked on a meter quick and was greeted as soon as I walked in. She offered a menu, pointed out their specials, and told me to pick any seat. I ordered the Turkey Reuben with a side of pasta salad. It was ready within 5-10min and I was heading back to the airport. The sandwich was fantastic and full of flavor. It was the perfect portion and the price was very reasonable. It came with fries which I felt were disappointing. They were soggy rather than crispy. The pasta salad was very fresh and a great side to my sandwich. I didn't love the broccoli, which seemed strange in a pasta salad. Overall, quality old school diner with fantastic employees. The food was ready quickly and everything was prepared fresh. Competitive prices on a large menu. I'll definitely remember this place when I'm back in town.

This place is great , unfortunately this was my first time here , and I grew up just 30 blocks down St Clair. This is an old school diner right at East 13 th just one block North of St Clair . When you enter has that old school vibe you order at counter then take your number and set it on the table of your choice . This Deli has a full bar with all your favorite liquor. They do catering here , and to go orders as well as dine in. I had the jumbo corned beef and fresh cut fries dam it was all good . One of the Highlights of this Deli is all their fountain sodas are made with fresh sugar cane . Wow !!!! I had the black cherry soda , and I tried the lemon Lime free refills self serve soda fountain. Wonderful old school Decor . Open 4 hours before all Home Browns games so eat and drink up folks .

Onion rings

Soft homemade cookies- pb, choc chip, and oatmeal raisin- for $0.75 each. My hot grilled chicken ranch wrap and onion rings meal was done in less than ten minutes! Warp speed! Huge parking lot adjacent to building. Full bar inside. Wrap was about ten bucks and didn't have any ranch flavor but was juicy with something and had plenty of meat. It was hot and had lettuce and tomato. Came w small side of deliciously creamy flavorful potato salad which is saying something as most of the time potato salad is an incredibly boring filler to me! Onion rings were $4 and came w plenty of rings and ketchup. Lightly crispy and perfectly fried.

They just keep placing another brisket on, and the ribbons of beef keep falling. The order counter is tiny, with a line out the door: regulars, tourists like me, and food delivery drivers all waiting their turn. There are meat trimmings everywhere, tubs of pickles, and the sense that the folks behind the counter know exactly what they are doing. The small dining room is packed with people sitting elbow to elbow, gripping massive sandwiches with stadium mustard in the corners of their mouths. It is loud, cramped, messy, and glorious. I've gone to heaven.

I joined the line just before 11 and got inside about 11:50 AM. I'm currently standing in line waiting on my sandwich which is a corned beef melt. I ordered a corned beef melt, which is toasted rye, cornbeef, double Swiss cheese - hot & melted with Kraut on the side and dressing. I got a side of potato pancakes, and also coleslaw. The folks were extremely friendly on the inside, very welcoming and very efficient as they worked to make who knows how many meals. And you'll be glad to know every sandwich comes with a dill pickle, wrapped in its own paper and ready for delicious consumption! The dill is a big deal to me because I like spears, as in the pickle not necessarily (in this case) the pop star! Come early and be ready to wait! The place is really kitchsy and has a great atmosphere. And the folks really make it awesome to be there. It has the feel of a destination restaurant the kind of place that is an experience to visit not just because of the food because of the culture and the people and the phenom that it has become.

Not only do they have freshly made deli dishes, they carry so much delicious varieties in European cuisine foods. Whether it's in a can, frozen, or fresh, it's all been very good. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I absolutely love this place. I may be biased as a Ukrainian, but I love this food especially when missing being home, this is as close to home cooking that I found. If you're reluctant to come, at least come and try their foods in their deli section. Try the stuffed cabbage rolls, the pilaf with lamb, some cabbage salad. Yeleseyevsky Deli is my favorite local Russian store. I have been visiting this store for years. I always highly recommend it! Layout/Assortment: The store recently moved to a new, updated location. It is well lit, spacious, tidy, and well organized. The store departments are similar to what you would expect at a grocery store. Dairy, seafood, baked goods, produce, frozen foods, canned goods, prepared foods, vitamins, souvenirs, and wine categories can be found here. This store has more expansive inventory than other similar stores in the area. Products originate from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Turkey, and other parts of the world. All products are clearly labeled with the original language and English ingredient lists which makes the shopping experience less intimidating for a newbie. Recommended buys: If you're Russian, you'll be pleasantly surprised and nostalgic about everything. Kvas bread drink in the fridges, Olivie salad in the deli, Alenka chocolate at checkout, Russian greeting cards for every occasion, and the list goes on. If you're looking to explore Russian and European cuisine, I recommend trying Doktorskaya bologna (slightly smokey and flavorful), Belochka chocolate waffle cake (bold chocolate flavor), Ivan Chai (firewood tea with campfire taste), and Siberian pelmeni (so tasty). Feeling more adventurous? Try Birchtree juice, caviar, vodka-filled chocolates, frozen seaberry, Siberian pinecone jam, and oak broom for your next banya (sauna) visit. Service: The service is friendly especially if you're a regular. The store employees are bilingual - Russian and English. The checkout process is very expeditious. Savings: The store offers - "buy more, save more." Your receipt will be stamped with a coupon at checkout when you meet certain purchase threshold. Don't forget to grab free Russian newspapers on the shelves next to the entrance! They contain information about local events and businesses. Parking: Large parking lot is available in the front and the back of the store. Parking is very convenient. This store is suitable for routine grocery shopping and exploring new global foods. It's also a great destination if you're looking for a gift - greeting cards and boxed chocolates available. Or if you're looking to host a tea party - plenty of tasty sweets. I highly recommend visiting this store!

The food had always been delicious until this last visit. Given we are regulars at the place, we know the quality of the food has been consistently fantastic and the wait for the food is typical - not too fast or slow - enough to prepare the meal given how busy the place has always been. This last time, however, it was a good 45 minutes before the order came to the table. Neither one of our meals was very good. I was very hypiglycemic by this point and so I ate the french toast that was completely uncooked inside. At first I wasn't thrilled that the bread was considerably smaller than it used to be until i bit into it to find cold wet mush. I should not have eaten it at all. My friend had ordered a patty melt - medium which should be light pink in the center. It was bloody red. She sent it back and about 20 min later it came back exavtly the same. She sent it back again. Another 20 minutes later it came back well done and with spices in the meat that made the meat taste lousy. So now she had a burger that wass over cooked and tasted bad. She didnt gat to eat because by that time we were done. I wish i had turned back the french toast. I kept hoping with every bite it might be cooked. Not one bite was cooked. Not even one. Being hypoglycemic I felt like I would lose my cool if I didnt eat something so I ate. It turns out the place had been bought and the new owner really didnt care. We got to talk to the brother of the new owner who only said that the place has been very busy and that should speak to the quality. He couldnt care less about our experience. All I have to say is that they are going to be losing a lot of money having to replace meals and once people find out about the sudden drop in quality of the food, those peeople that have been filling the place will not be returning as we wont be either. We refuse to go somewhere that the owners could care less about their patrons.

The best sandwich they make, in my opinion, is the fresh & fried tomato sandwich.
