There's a new burrito spot in town and they're giving us Tex-Mex vibes. As a girly who loves tacos, I was happy to see the new addition of Barrio Burrito Bar in the White Marsh area. The interior of the fast-casual restaurant has a cheery flair to it and all the employees were really nice and helpful during my visit. What I was really excited to see was the various burrito sizes you could choose from (small, regular, or large). Because sometimes I just want a smaller portion of food or I want to sample multiple items. I also liked the fact that they not only offered chips and dips, but they have french fries too. Now Barrio carries your typical tacos and burritos, but they offer more toppings, more protein choices, and multiple sauces to adorn your masterpiece. And don't forget the churros. I settled on a small burrito and a kids meal during my visit. And was pleasantly pleased with the amount of food. The small burrito was a decent size and the kid's meal which came with a little bag of chips and a drink was a really great value for the price. Both the burrito and my kid's quesadilla were well seasoned, giving me more Tex-Mex vibes than an entree from the popular Chipotle chain. And even a kind of bbq flavor to the meat. I thoroughly enjoy my meals. With so many ways you can dress up an entree at Barrio the selections are limitless. And I can't wait for my next visit to try a different flavor combo.

For our first visit food was very flavorful. Customer service top notch and it was clean. The server even let me try the sauce as I wanted to know if it was spicy. I had a bang bang shrimp bowl with my favorite toppings. All staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Its similar to Chipotle with different flavors. The fries were hot and crunchy. I wish they had salt and pepper for the fries out but I didn't ask for any. The churro's were ok. I would definitely eat here again. It was clean and had some seating.

    The best queso!!!

The food is not only deliciously fresh, but the portions are very large and the price is pretty good too. 10/10 will go again.

She has always been wanting to try this place. And she absolutely loved it. Clavel has been in the Remington neighborhood since 2015. My favorites are the Aguachile( shrimp cured in lime and spicy cilantro pesto). The salmon crudo was straight fire and I always love the ponzu tuna. You can never go wrong with the queso fundido. And not pictured were the tacos. We also got a few tacos to share for the table. The barbacoa de borrego and the El lucahdor( fish taco) is my favorite. And their cocktails are to die for. You really can never go wrong with having dinner here at Clavel. Great place to stop in and have a few drinks and grab delicious food.

It's there and cooked without oil immersion or the awful trap of terrible portioning. Here, the nutrients shine. And that is healthy. Price: Decent. Very Decent. Everything I bought there was roughly over 45 dollars (before the tipping) and keep in mind, the condiments and sauces were complimentary. For this quality and quantity? I definitely got my money's worth. Experience: Wonderful server. Even in a busy dinner cycle, she came over and literally started to hand me a menu almost right as I sat down. Even gave me a great recommendation for the Enchilada platter and brought the holster of extras over to the table as well. The food was delivered quickly, and the small details (utensils, cleanliness, chair organization etc.) were great. Taste: Honestly this place is a standout for seasoning. It's flavorful, unique, and skewed towards spices over oil. Tasteful impact, without the baggage. A gem. Even among so many other restaurants serving this cuisine in the area I've tried, this is a standout. I'll come eat here again. You should too. It's right next to Patterson park with so many parking spaces nearby. I'm gonna run here. Soon.

Don't let the outside deceive you. Once you walk in you'll smell the fresh cilantro and chile. It took a bit to translate the menu, but you'll figure it out. There are plenty of options. The server helped us figure it out and we were set. I ordered the El pastor tacos, beans & rice, and tortilla chips. The tacos were theeee best! What I loved the most is that the corn tortillas didn't fall apart!!! I hate it when I go to eat a taco and it falls apart. They cooked the tortillas enough so they held up, but were still soft. Did I already say how good the tacos were?! Along with the meat is cilantro, some onions, and you can top it with some green chili sauce. Sooooo good! The pico de Gallo was some of the best I've ever had. I know what you're thinking. How could you go wrong with pico de Gallo? Yeah, I wonder the same thing, but this pico was FRESH with just the right ratio of tomato, onion, cilantro, etc. Next time I'll order two of them. The chips are restaurant-made. That was our first indicator that the food was going to be ALL that we hoped it would be. AND it was. The beans were pinto beans. Memories from home and the ultimate comfort food. The were cooked perfectly with just enough seasoning. The rice was perfectly cooked too. This is the taco spot you need to try.

I got an Al pastor burrito and esquires to go. The food is pretty good. It's not super authentic more of a fusion, but it hits the spot. The Alpa store taco had avocados in it, which really gave me a baja mexican food vibes. The salsa was great - I will definitely be asking for more next time.
