I go around 4-6 times a week now for hot yoga classes and have taken the majority of their instructors so far. I have never been disappointed by any of them. The studio is exceptionally clean all the time, supplies fully stocked in the bathroom, and instructors are friendly. Each instructor truly has their own style and will challenge you in different ways, so your best bet is to try multiple instructors and see what you like most! They have yoga mats for rental if needed, two showers, a ton of props like blocks, pads, and straps, and even a cute little store area with mugs, shirts, crystals, etc. I have tried three other yoga studios between Clinton, Davenport, and DeWitt and none have lived up to One Tree, especially in the instructor knowledge aspect. My practice has come so far in just a year because the instructors here really pay attention and assist when needed in polite ways. Almost all of them also do a really great job at describing the poses as well so it's easy to feel comfortable even if you're just beginning.

5 stars for customer service, 5 stars for technical instruction, 5 stars for experience. Emilie,…read morethe owner, was happy to accommodate my daughter's request for 1:1 sessions for 3 weeks during Plank's busiest month of the year. Yes, January. Emilie scheduled and rescheduled until she built the perfect schedule. Gill, the instructor assigned to my daughter, is a ballerina and has a vast knowledge of how the body works beyond the stringent study for her Pilates reformer certification. Gill is a stickler for form and technique, which helps prevent jury and ensures the client gets the results they are working for. She was able to accommodate the request to not increase arm muscles, shrink waist and tighten up the hips. Gill is also fun and charming. Big thank you to Emilie and Gill. We hope to see you next time we are in town.

The studio is downtown in a little plaza with several other shops, with lots of parking available. The inside of the studio was stunning - so clean, so well lit, honestly felt like you were going into a spa. The reformers were particularly nice in the room we were in, as there were only 2 so it really felt like you were doing 1:1 training. Judy led our class who was wonderful - I'm so used to doing classes that push you to the breaking point without focusing on form, but Judy was super attentive and helpful which was so appreciated. The class was an hour, and felt like a great workout overall. Will definitely plan on going back when I'm in the area, and highly recommend for anyone looking for a great workout!

I can say that this IC location is top notch. Maureen and her staff are freaking delightful and the workout itself is addictively not like anything else around town. PLUS, parking is a non-issue. But I don't actually have set in stone time to make it to a gym. (The minute I plan on a 5AM workout is the night my son is in my bed because of a bad dream. So when I attempt to stealthily get out, I of course wake him. And I can't just leave the four year old awake at home?! And how rude would I be to wake up anyone else catching z's?!) Ugh. It's a never ending, maddening problem. ANYWAYS, barre3 has an amazing online membership for a great price! The first two weeks are free. But what I like most is that the classes range from 10 to 60 minutes. They include what equipment you need in the description. I found favorite instructors and have taken all of their classes (multiple time)! Barre3 makes me feel good about myself. And the staff at this location does, too. There were some places offering $10 a day pass but didn't have a sauna or steam room. This place had both plus an ice room. Which was more like a really high air conditioning room. The training area with turf was really nice but if that stop light is red (I posted a picture) that means the trainer is there with a client and you're not allowed. If it's orange you are allowed but to be careful and green it's a free for all. Not many people use it but it has bunch of cool equipment to use there too. The gym had everything and I was only able to find one thing broken which is rare at a gym this big. They also have one of those dryers for your bathing suits in the mens locker room if you do bring a bathing suit for sauna or pool.
