Wow! Amazing service from the team at Auto Star…read more I drove in around 10:30 AM and asked if they could check my A/C. Two super friendly mechanics immediately came out with their equipment and started diagnosing the issue while I was there watching. They explained everything clearly throughout the process. They first confirmed it wasn't the Freon, then checked the fuses (which were good), and finally tested the compressor electrically. As expected, the compressor was shot. They didn't have the part on-site, which is understandable with how many different cars are on the market today, but they still gave me a fair price right within the expected range for my make, model, and year. By 2:14 PM, they called to let me know the car was ready. They also noticed my maintenance light was on and took care of the oil change before pickup. On top of that, they gave me honest recommendations for future services and explained what warning signs to keep an eye on. I appreciated that they weren't pushy, especially since I couldn't afford additional work at the moment. Overall experience: 5 stars. I feel confident in the work performed and trust the team's recommendations. It also feels great knowing the job was done professionally instead of having to rely on someone working out of their backyard on spare time. Thank you to everyone at Auto Star. AVOID this place, especially if you're a woman!…read more Mitch will lie to you to try to get you to believe you have an issue with your car that is non-existent. He is an excellent talker; a great con-man, but truly does not care about you at all and is just trying to get as much money out of you, even with all of his "discounts." I came here for an oil change and he said that all of the fluids were checked and filled, but the windshield washer was empty when I left. He said that there was a leak in my transmission fluid, and to come back every month to fill it up because it was a sign my transmission was going. I was paranoid that I would need a new transmission. I was feeling salty about him lying about the windshield fluid so I didn't go back for a top off. Instead, when I needed some other work done I found a great shop through yelp called LEON'S GARAGE and took it there. Denis at Leon's checked the fluid and it was still full, but because of this concern Mitch at Longlife planted, Denis at Leon's recommended I take it to Quality Transmissions. Quality Transmissions test drove it with the computer/sensor plugged in and there was NOTHING wrong with the transmission. Shame on you, Mitch at Longlife!
