Luckily, we found Andy, and he helped us to design and create a beautiful custom centerpiece for our kitchen. Beyond the design, Andy worked with us to procure a fallen walnut tree that was milled locally. He communicated with us every step of the way, and he even sent pictures as the island was taking shape. The final product is beautiful, sustainable, and everyone who sees it, loves it. Subsequently, we had him create three stools to complement the island. They too, are works of art. They are solid, beautiful, sustainable and comfortable. Andy is the consummate professional and he does excellent work. Additionally, he is timely, and there were no hidden surprises. If we ever need a woodworking professional in the future, we will be calling Andy Orsini.

Dave and the crew at Airel Construction are AWESOME!…read more Dave and his crew were on time, friendly, dependable, trustworthy and generally just really nice guys. Our house is a 70's house that is not well built; it is one of those houses where one repair project begets 5 more! David was able to come up with ways to make repairs without breaking the bank all while doing the repairs in a timely manner. If there was something David was not comfortable with, like electrical work, he let me know right away and he called in one of the many other Santa Cruz contractors buddies to help out. I appreciate that he knows his strengths and weaknesses; he doesn't try to b.s. his way through something. I appreciate that David really looks out for his customers! During the middle of one of our many projects, we were gone for a few days. We had no issues leaving our house in the care of David and the Airel Construction crew. Perhaps best of all, at the end of the day, the construction mess was always cleaned up so we came home to a cleaned up house and yard everyday! David takes the time to explain what needs to be done, answers all your questions and then gets the job done! Exactly what one wants in a contractor!

Airel's completed work is clean and extremely professional looking -- just what we wanted! Thanks, guys at Airel -- we will call you again for our next project.

The painter who did the rest of the house simply backed out of painting it and gave us some money back. I sought bids from eight others, and Kelley was one of only two to respond. His bid was fair, given the challenges of the job. I put off the job for two months, but Kelley was in regular contact during this time. When he came to visit he was friendly and professional. Upon request, he provided copies of his insurance. He completed the job professionally and fully, even coming back to touch up one area upon request. He was conscientious in his communication while the project was being completed. I am very happy with the work that Kelley did and will be calling him in the future. It's amazing to me that he has no reviews on Yelp, while the painter who left us high and dry has many positive ones. If you need a friendly, professional, and thorough painter, I recommend you call Kelley.

He was here the next day and assessed the project. His pricing was very fair and his work is top-notch. All of his workers were very professional and friendly. They took the time to protect the finishes in our entire unit prior to starting. That is the sign of a good contractor. As a general contractor myself in the commercial industry, I can be very critical of some residential contractors. There was nothing to criticize about Alex Flores or any of his employees. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for any sort of an interior remodel. Props Alex.
