I would highly recommend this company and the staff to anyone! We had some Milgard windows fail and we called to use the warranty for replacement. In the past, Milgard had always sent out a rep to check the window and measure. They informed us that they don't do that anymore. The measurements that we gave them were incorrect according to them. This went on for months. I came across Lighthouse Windows and called to see if they had any advice in dealing with Milgard. Danielle took time to talk to me and help us even though we hadn't bought the windows from her. We recently had our windows replaced by Lighthouse Windows of Santa Cruz, and from beginning to end, were extremely satisfied with their service! During the initial visit, Jason gave us all the time we needed to ask questions and discuss options. It was clear that he understood the installation process, and was not just a sales person. Once we settled on the type of window we wanted, he came back with Cody, the person who would oversee the project. They verified the measurements and approach for each window before placing the final order. Although the lead times were fairly long last fall, the office staff kept us informed about the delivery date, and then scheduled installation at a time that fit our needs. The installation crew was professional and did excellent work. They carefully removed the old windows down to the rough wall opening. The new windows were shimmed level and the gaps sealed with foam. The exterior siding was trimmed to accept the new window's nail fin, caulk and tape were applied, new trim was installed and the gap between the trim and the existing log siding was caulked. Everything was well sealed, as I expected. Throughout the process the crew took time to ask for our input on all items that we might be concerned about. The team even took time to transport our old picture window down the street when a neighbor asked if they could have it. Now that's service! We are very happy with the new Milgard Ultra fiberglass windows, but a couple of screens arrived bent and one window wouldn't open. Lighthouse immediately placed a request with Milgard for a service call. The service team came out a week later and fixed all the problems! They were also very professional and easy to work with. The quote from Lighthouse seemed fair, given the size of our project. The other two quotes we got were both higher, but only Lighthouse included removing the entire window down to the rough opening, so that the new ones could be properly sealed. This gave us a lot of confidence that the job would be done right. read more

Called in early August for full house window replacement quote. Jason came out to our house two days after my call and did a full measure and had a quote within a couple of days. We were impressed with his professionalism quick response and honesty in timeline (6-8 weeks). Working with Kelli after order was placed was outstanding! Always upbeat, she kept us in the loop and gave us a weeks notice before scheduled install. Install started on time and continued until finished. Kelli also registered our warranty and handled payment flawlessly. Not to mention, we also received our Amazon gift card through promotion thanks to Kelli. Bernie and the install crew were great. They wore masks were very friendly and accommodating. Bernie is a craftsman replacing windows and trim pieces. One of the three sliders we had replaced was wrong in that it slid the wrong way. Bernie said they would install and replace it when new one came in if we liked. We decided to stay with the original until new slider arrived. When new slider arrived Cody and crew came and replaced. Once again , done without a hitch. I needed two plastic covers that were not shipped. I spoke with Kelli and said they could just send them to me , as it would be easy to put on. I first reached out to this company because of a coupon I always see. The estimator came out, Gus, and he was really friendly and helpful. He seemed really flexible and optimistic about our big project. One detail included raising one of our windows, and this was one of the companies that was willing to do that, and also willing to get a permit for it. And Gus put together an estimate, sent it over, and was accommodating of some final requests. The price seemed reasonable, and turnaround time was faster than other estimates I received. Plus, I knew I was getting quality products. Our installation crew was fantastic. We had close to a dozen windows changed in a day and a half, a lot of them done by one single hard worker, Ivan. The crew was led by Alfonso, and he and the third crewmember Manuel were very efficient and professional. I was very pleased, and they had two others come join, Mauricio and Benny, I think. They all cleaned up afterward, which I really appreciated. It was only after setting an installation date that I got on yelp and look at their reviews. At first, I was nervous looking at the overall rating, but then I read a lot of the recent reviews and noticed they were all five stars basically. From the very beginning everyone at Lighthouse Windows has been great to deal with! We're slowly replacing all of the single pain windows in our house and they have been great. The windows look amazing and like the house same that way....our house was built in 1955 with steel framed windows. They had to cut out parts of the frame from where window swings open. Cleaned up as they were working and did all of the finishing touches from foam insulation, vinyl window trip and caulking both the inside and outside. Saved us a lot of time and effort. It was worth every penny! And we will definitely use them again for our other windows! read more

Initially, Lighthouse Windows spent a lot of time with my wife and I explaining the product, which included the Milgard windows and sliders, features, options and material that would be used during construction. Furthermore, the price was extremely lower than area competitors. Second, the on-site measurements that were taken were great. The technician was very respectful and completed the task expeditiously. Third, the installation of two sliders and three windows went flawlessly. Bernie's crew showed up on time, explained the procedure and covered all of the pass through areas. They took great care of my existing interior moldings while removing the windows and doors. Once the new windows and doors were secured they insulated all sides. They removed all of the protective plastic wrap and cleaned any surfaces of hand prints and area where debris was accumulated. At the conclusion of the job, everything was cleaned and it looked as if no one did any work. Plus, we ended up with new windows and sliders. In my years of being a homeowner and dealing with contractors, I have never seen a crew work so fast, meticulously and cleanly. This was truly the best construction experience I have had. Finally, aside from my new replacement Milgard windows and sliders being beautiful, the process from beginning to end was first rate. Bernie's team performed the installation promptly, efficiently and extremely professionally. The high quality of workmanship was evident when I did my final inspection at the end. The installation is just beginning and EVERYTHING from first telephone call to the polite and knowledgeable staff has been a dream. Jason and Kelly were so communicative and straightforward- May 10th was when I had the contract drawn up abs was told installation would be in October- but the windows came in in July! We had our first home in Felton done by the Lighthouse Windows crew, and everything was done on time and according to original estimate, so we decided to hire them a second time. Our second hone was much bigger and with the winter rain coming Lighthouse was able to remove the failing 1970's single pane aluminum right away and keep on track of our sensitive time schedule. We then met with Lighthouse a third time to consult on a smaller project because we did a kitchen remodel so we were able to work with them again. This next spring we hope to do a 4th and much larger addition so we will be contacting them again for more work, as we are happy with these guys, and would recommend them since they are true to their bid, and most importantly provided quality materials each time. read more

We did a remodel on our house last year and after going through a selection of window companies we decided on Lighthouse, even though we live in San Jose. Guy & Bennet worked with us for weeks as we went through their entire selection of windows and worked on the sizes for our entire house. Their install crew were fabulous and did a great job of trimming out the windows on the inside of the house. We chose the Lincoln wood windows which are clad with aluminum on the exterior. Fantastic windows! Our install progressed over several months, as not all the windows could be installed due to construction in parts of the house.
