After another service removed the moisture and in the process gutted part of the kitchen and dining room, Gadir stepped in to handle the restoration. Right from the start, it was clear that he was on top of the job. He arrived the same day to assess the project and had shared an estimate within an hour. His pricing was reasonable and he quickly scheduled the work. He completed a very neat and quality job quickly and while keeping us updated through the process. He was readily accessible and was prompt in responding to any questions. Gadir was sincere and committed and went above and beyond on the job. First, when he visited a couple of different Lowes stores to find the specific wood we wanted for flooring and brought it to the site. After the job was complete, he fixed the garbage disposal which had a screw badly latched in. He needed to disassemble the garbage disposal to pull it out, and from looking at the screw, it was clear it wasn't one they had used. I will be reaching out to Gadir for future remodelling jobs.

From our 1st visit at Kerrock, going over how George would go at our outdoor kitchen countertop, to taking care of coordinating the granite slab we chose from Bedrosians, to the onsite template step, and finally the installation. They aren't the cheapest, but they are VERY GOOD. Zero regrets, good speed on the project, and we…read morelove the finished product. We kicked off our discussion with Marko at Kerrock in late October 2021 to redo our kitchen countertops in Los Gatos. Marko helped me get my head around the material options (we went for engineered stone due to appearance, durability, size of slabs we could get, lack of maintenance). I went home and drew up our kitchen layout and measurements and sent it back for an estimate. The estimate came back a day later and was substantially higher than one other I had gotten, but I could tell that the Kerrock folks would be paying a lot more attention to detail and all their finish products looked really tight and precise (they've done some work on big projects for exacting customers like Apple's new HQ). We cook a lot and spend tons of time in our kitchen, so this was not something we wanted to take any gambles on. Our sink and faucet were not reusable, so I went through catalogs at Kerrock's office with Marko and picked out new ones that they ordered and brought on the day of the install. We green lit the project and 10 days later the Kerrock crew showed up to rip out our old countertops to take back to the shop to use as an exact template. At the same time as the removal they put down the foundational plywood for the new ones, and spent a lot of time precisely leveling the cabinet tops. Living without a sink or cooktop for two weeks was painful, but obviously it's just part of what you endure on kitchen projects like these. Exactly two weeks to the day after the rip-out they showed up to do the install, which took about five hours. The Kerrock guys cleaned up and went on their way leaving us with a completely new feel for our kitchen. It utterly transformed our space, and we could not be happier with the end result. From the edging to the seams to the leveling to the new plumbing, faucet and sink they installed...it was all on point, solid and gorgeous. Excellent craftsmanship. Again, they aren't the cheapest out there, but they deliver top quality results. Our project took about 3.5 weeks from the estimate approval to finished install, which is definitely faster than I expected. We're happy we went with the best and didn't mess with the rest. :)

We recently completed a full master bathroom renovation along with a whole-house repipe (galvanized to copper), and from start to finish, Gabriel and his team were professional, transparent, and detail-oriented. Project Pitch Phase: Gabriel came out at least twice to carefully assess the scope of work. He was thoughtful in his recommendations - for example, suggesting we update the bay window to ensure the entire bathroom felt cohesive and aesthetically aligned. While it added to the cost, he explained the reasoning clearly and never felt pushy. He was upfront about pricing and the overall plan. He even invited us to visit another active job site so we could see the quality of work firsthand, beyond just online photos. Additionally, he had his plumber come out to provide a free quote for the copper repiping, which we appreciated. Work in Progress: Gabriel has built an incredible team. His project manager, Israel, was friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful - especially when it came to selecting tiles, vanities, and fixtures. He helped obtain contractor discounts from vendors and was on-site almost daily (even if just for 10-15 minutes) to check in and address questions. After each visit, he followed up with videos and written notes summarizing discussions, which we found extremely professional and reassuring. The crew was punctual (arriving between 8-9am daily), respectful, and highly skilled - special shoutout to Asa for his craftsmanship. There were typically 1-2 workers on-site each day, and the entire project was completed in about 6 weeks. Wrap Up: The team cleaned up daily, which made living through construction much easier. At project completion, Gabriel even brought in professional cleaners to clean the entire house and driveway - a thoughtful touch. Most importantly, he was responsive and quick to address any small issues we noticed once we began using the new bathroom. Overall, we're very happy with the results and would confidently recommend Step Up Construction for renovation projects. Gabriel and his team deliver quality work with professionalism and care.
