We came for dinner on a Friday. We were happy they could accommodate the six of us since they were busy. We caught Happy Hour just in time (6:30 pm). We had the veggie gyozas for appetizers. I had the sashimi salad roll (no rice) and hamachi kama for my meal. Everything was good. The restaurant is casual and cozy. The staff and bartender were fun and friendly.

This is under new ownership under Ken Wang. He has done an exceptional job and taking over and adding his own touch to it. The sushi is fresh and the service is on par like his other ramen restaurant, Hanabi which is just down the street. They had a live band today from Aragon High school which was a festive event for this kick off lunch. Great job Ken!

Stopped in for a light lunch before a Dr's Appt nearby. It was a "treat yo'self lunch" for me so I decided to order a few of my favorites. I ordered the butterfish sashimi, which they call the Escolapacho. I love butterfish or escolar, whatever you want to call it - it's so creamy and delicious but can be bland without flavor. They key with good butterfish dishes is the sauce that goes along with it. This one has garlic puree, spicy ponzu, fried garlic and shallots. I also ordered a spicy tuna roll, which was delicious - but not as divine as the Escolapacho. This was a great place to stop for lunch and really quick.

Lunch bento 7 days a week, which is rare. Upcharge for like everything that isn't gyoza or something generic, LOL. Bento box with Saba and upcharge spicy tuna roll. Just average tasting, nothing special. Only one waiter so be patient, he's doing his best y'all.

Came here a couple of weeks ago. We used to go to Barracuda when it was in Serramonte but they closed. We've been wanting to try this place for a while so finally had the chance. We were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant ambience didn't feel like a Japanese restaurant-felt like a Mediterranean place. Very dark decor and dingy. The food was disappointing and we had such high expectations of this place. We had edamame (not complimentary), chicken katsu, short ribs, spicy tuna roll, the best of the best roll which was not the best. In fact the texture was too mushy, no crunch or freshness to it, so I couldn't finish it. Everything else was ok and over priced! Not sure if we will be back.

Love the new look! Warm and inviting with added touches and patio dining and landscaping and plant arrangements. As always the food is amazing.

Barracuda is off the main buzz of Burlingame Avenue so I enjoy that part of it. Outdoor dining is available. We went at lunchtime on a rainy day and ate inside. Service gets a thumbs up! As does the Tuna Tataki that I ordered and the bento box with shrimp tempura & a California roll that came with salad, rice and miso soup. The interior could be updated, especially the upholstery of the seating area inside...but at night, I'm sure the fireplace creates an ambience that is delightful and romantic. Go try out barracuda and see what you think!

Incredibly delicious, Anytime I travel to Burlingame, I go to Barracuda. Just make sure you ask for their hot tea as well. Bo Appetite

I got a seat at the bar and ordered the Sichuan dumplings and the Dan Dan. I loved hot hot and flavorful the Dan Dan was - the pork was cooked perfectly and the noodles so soft. The dumplings however, they were flavorful but I felt they were very fatty compared to the ones I've had many times elsewhere. Flavorful nevertheless. I appreciate how accommodative they were. At first, I thought it leaned more toward a fusion American style, but after trying a few dishes, I'd say it's not 100% authentic, yet still pretty close. The pork soup XLB was really tasty, you can tell the meat is high quality with no "porky" taste, and the broth is light with a subtle sweetness. The popcorn chicken was a bit bland, but very meaty with a thin, crispy coating, which I liked. The pan-fried buns were juicy, with a nicely cooked, crispy bottom. The braised beef was a bit too soft for my liking and lacked texture. The braised beef noodle soup was decent, the beef pieces were a good size but slightly dry, while the noodles were chewy and well-cooked, though they felt more like spaghetti than traditional noodles. Service really stood out, our server was attentive and welcoming throughout the meal. Also appreciated that they still let us try the seafood dumplings even though they were accidentally cooked incorrectly. Overall, generous portions for the price and excellent service. :)

More casual dining room with lots of families, than the decor hints at. The Indian food is definitely very good. Service was average for a restaurant of this type. Their guidance ordering was hit/miss. Prices on their website are old. Food Review Samosas ($8) two crisp vegetable puffs filled with potatoes, peas, and spices are pretty big, enough to be cut up in two. Nice crisp crust and soft interior. 8.5/10 mixed tandoori ($24) assortment of chicken, lamb, fresh fish, and prawns. We had chicken and prawns, with the prawns being the better of the two. You can vary spiciness. 8.5/10 murgh makhani ($19) boneless chicken simmered in a mild creamy tomato sauce was very well done. More creamy than anticipated. Assorted appetizers - samosa, vegetable pakoras, and papadum ($7) is an easy way to try a lot of different items. The samosas and pakoras are full of deep-fried goodness. 8/10 Chicken tikka masala ($19) tandoori boneless chicken sauteed with herbs, spices, tomatoes, and cream is it good version of the classic, not too creamy. Also well done. pulao ($3) basmati rice with saffron, cumin, cardamom, and cinnamon hit the spot. Need to balance the spiciness. Assorted Bread ($9) allowed us to try all the different ones. Garlic one is nice. Hot out of the clay oven. 8.5/10 tandoori roti ($2) unleavened eggless whole wheat bread. Stick to the regular one. When I found out Stella was participating in " Flavors of the Peninsula", our suburban version of Restaurant Week in the city and that the 4-courses included a truffle gnocchi course, I made a Monday night reservation for two. The $65 prixe-fixe menu offered some of our favorites. Of course the best came first. Their version of truffle gnocchi is simply perfect - four delicate hand rolled pillows swimming in butter with fried sage leaves and truffle oil. I always have to stop myself from canceling everything else I've ordered and piping up " eight more gnocchi please". I opted for the salmon and my kid really likes Stella's chicken parmesan. The Stella salad features a yummy champagne dressing, candied nuts and cranberries in a nest of butter lettuce. The salmon was delicious, though the thinnest parts of the fish were a tad overcooked. The broccolini', spinach and carrot combination were fantastic, as were the perfect mashed potatoes. Kyle loved his chicken and made me take a bite if his pasta- yummm. Generally we are not dessert orderers but we were delighted with the lava cake and caramel gelato. It was a lot of food, especially for this restaurant and a true bargain at $65 for a four course meal at one of our neighborhood favorites that we generally save for special occasions due to the price tag.
