Unfortunately this establishment has significantly gone down in quality and customer service. They literally argued with me over a chocolate shake. I ordered chocolate shakes two nights in a row and the second night they forgot to put the syrup in it. Instead of just admitting the mistake and crediting me for the shake the host that answered the phone insisted she made it right and the manager insisted that she watched her make it right. Neither of their opinions mattered; it was not right, it was not brown at all, it was a cup of vanilla ice cream which I offered to send them a picture of. But not only did they insist it was right instead of crediting for a four dollar shake like I would've preferred they wasted time resources and energy to send a driver to bring me another shake. Mistakes are acceptable poor attitudes, over talking the customer, and not giving them the reasonable solution makes this business worth one star for me. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! I ordered $160 worth of pizzas to be delivered to my home for my dad's 77th bday. I had 20 people at my house and when the pizzas arrived 3 of them were made wrong. needless to say the other pizzas that were correct were all falling apart and pushed to one side. I proceeded to call Barracos and tell them what was going on and the girl, who wouldn't give me her name, claimed I "ordered" wrong...like what the hell is that?!? She agreed to send two new pizzas out and 1.5 hours later still no pizzas. Now mind you 20 people waiting to eat! Finally, decided to call back and see what was going on I was met with the same ignorant girl. I told her what happened and I couldn't understand what she was saying and asked her to slow down as she was talking a mile a minute. She then proceeded to talk to me in a super slow voice like I had a disability and then she hung up on me. I called back again and asked for a manager and she said "you got her" I was like or hell no! I asked for a refund and she told me all sales are final! I was besides myself at this point. 20 people still waiting to eat!!!!!! 15 minutes later 2 pizzas arrived, cold and all falling apart! I can't even explain how upset I am and now my guests are at this point filled up with the appetizers that were left from earlier in the evening! We have been coming to this location since 1994 and CANNOT believe the way we were talked to! Zero stars. Walked in to the staff screaming obscenities. Literally F bombs. It was like a bar room brawl in there. Was ignored for a while, then told my pick up would be a few more minutes. The chaos continued while I waited another 20 minutes. Finally got the hell out of there with two bags of inedible food. Seriously threw 40 bucks worth of food down the drain and in the garbage. Will never set foot in that place again or spend a penny there. Manager saw me standing there unacknowledged and decided his smoke after the brawl was more important. Selective policies and profiling of customers. I wanted to have a nice dinner outside with my family including my young child. When we came in, we asked to be seating outside (which you access by walking through the restaurant), the hostess said she had to ask the manager, who then looked repeatedly at my husband who is a poc, asking who wanted to sit outside). The hostess came back and very awkwardly said if we wanted to sit on the patio we would have to leave a credit card with her. So I asked her for clarification and she stumbled with her answer that yes she would have to hold on to my credit card the entire time and that is only if we want to sit out on the patio. Now mind you there is a 5 foot(ish) fence around in front fully enclosing the seating. Meanwhile there was another couple sitting outside who (when we asked) did not have to leave a card) and also were white. We have eaten at many restaurants and have never been asked to hold onto a credit card as if we were planning on eating and jumping the fence as a middle aged married couple with a young child. I can't imagine that anyone's whole party has ever jumped that fence to avoid paying a bill. We clearly left and will not patronize a place who profiles based on race. I'm sure if it was just me who is caucasian I would have had no problem being seated outside. We probably should have read the other reviews first before coming here because this is a trend with this restaurant. Make sure to stay away if you are a person of color, or a good human being knowing that everyone should be treated the same no matter their skin color. Barracos Crestwood, you have a great operation, good food. However, please be a little more accommodating to customers, especially during holidays. Requested 8 piece broasted chicken, all white as part of my order and I'm immediately told no. I don't eat dark meat. It would be great to order what you are willing to pay for. Please consider this. I was not ordering 100 pieces of chicken, all white. Update.. To my disappointment, after picking up my order, one of the items was incorrect, although correct on the receipt. After calling Crestwood, the lady who took the order and whom I spoke to again by phone back at home, gave me I guess was a cool apology. I guess my business is no longer wanted at that location. This location is definitely worth a trip or order. I prefer to use this location for my delivery. Everything I received from this location was accurate and on time. When I received my recent order, some of the food was just okay. The macaroni and cheese wasn't really mixed well. The cheese was poured only on the center portion of the dish. Salads were good, even though I want able to eat them due to the spinach (I am allergic). Normally, my orders are prepared better. This one seemed to be rushed and prepared without more attention to details. I would say that this chain is some times is a hit or miss. read more

Okay, let's be honest: I'm a hellacious pizza snob. Louisa's is the pizza to end all pizzas, in my opinion, but having just tried Barraco's in C-wood, I have found the next best thing. So, okay. Usually when I'm hanging with the fam and we decide to hit up a pizza for delivery (keep in mind Louisa's doesn't, at least not to my knowledge), we usually tap Aurelios or Beggars. Both are okay. Pretty good even. But we were feeling a little spicy so we decided on a stuffed from Barracos. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. How have I lived in this area for so long without having popped my Barraco's cherry? It was all it could've been and then some. The pizza wasn't at all greasy, the spinach was plentiful, and the crust was positively perfect--flaky, but in a dependable sort of way. The only snafu was that we ordered cheese-filled breadsticks and received mozz sticks. NBD, really. I mean, we still ate them. In short, the stuffed is rock awesome! Delivery time was less than 40 minutes and we live about 5-10 minutes away. While I'm hard-pressed to leave my Louisa's, I will gladly tap the Barraco's vein any time. read more

Ok we went here after shopping. Years ago I had ordered from here and it seemed fine. Wow things changed. The prices are sky high for dine in and the food is mediocre at best. The bread was the best. I did love the music. The chicken tetrazzini was dripping in butter and there was a fat piece of chicken which is just gross that I had to discard. Too much dressing on the salad it was bathing in garlic. Then you have the Friday night regular bar patrons yelling every so often. The server showed up to take our order and you barely saw her the rest of the time. I am a girl who loves food. I love pizza way too much! We ordered delivery from here a few days ago, and I was impressed. I have eaten at the location in Evergreen Park that is a full out restaurant. We came here for a business meal and had a wonderful server Lynn. It started of good with a delicious cream of chicken soup. Then the meal came ... I ordered the veal parmigiana and the veal was horrible - tasted like a frozen piece of meat. They slapped a slice of cheese on it and put it under the salamander, didn't look impressive or taste impressive. The pasta was like warm and there was way too much gravy (sauce to many). The seafood kabobs were impressive looking but the pepper had the grocery sticker still on it, shows me they do not have good quality control. I am writing this on my experience as the others in my group seemed to enjoy it. The fresh eggplant dish, which the server had no idea was even on the menu, was more pasta than the eggplant. I have ordered the pizza at Barracos in Crestwood before and the pizza is okay at best. It is close to my house and it is a better option than the cheap pizza places like Pizza Hut and Little Caesars. So this past Saturday I join their Loyalty Rewards program which offers a $5 off reward upon signing up. I order the pizza and give them my rewards number and they tell me that they don't offer a $5 reward for enrolling in their rewards program. I ask to speak to the manager and he was very arrogant and tells me the same thing. I tell him that he can look it up on their website and he dismisses me and tells me that he knows for a fact that they don't offer a $5 reward for signing up and that if I wanted the pizza the price would be $24.40. I am not sure if his attitude was due to my being an African-American man or not but the was kind of rude and nasty none the less. Crestwood Barracos won't have to worry about my business ever again. This place is great for pizza or an Italian meal. They have a full bar and excellent staff. They have a decent beer selection and 5$ martini specials. Vince the manager has great attention to detail and always asks how everything was. Italian fries were nothing more than fries sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. They didn't even give me forks or catsup. Did I mention it was delivery-this would normally come with it. They gave me plates and napkins wrapped in plastic, which I know why. When I tried to use a napkin and wipe my mouth, it had a strong odor of cigarette smoke. This is the best pizza I have ever had in my entire life. The bacon was so crispy and flavorful, the crust was perfect. I'm a huge germophobe and I dropped a piece on the table and snatched it up within seconds to stuff it in my mouth without even thinking about it. This review is only for pickup, not dine-in as I've never sat and eaten here. I am so relieved that there is super thin, cracker-crust type pizza here in the South burbs. We ordered the Nicky's Special which is thin crust and light cheese and it was delicious. The veggies that we ordered-pineapple, onion, mushroom (sounds strange but is quite the sweet/savory combo if you're into that) were cooked to perfection. It was a little pricey at $2.30 per extra topping but with their coupons that come frequently in the mail, $5 off helped a lot. The one thing I'd complain about is the oil--there were traces of a few oil patches on the pizza, but I've definitely had worse. If you're taking out your pizza is done is 25 mins and if you deliver it's about 45 mins. Definitely consider Barraco's if you love a good thin crust pizza! read more

I tend to forget about the existance of this Barraco's which is really quite tragic because it's only a mile from my house and their thin crust pizza is my favorite in the south burbs. Barraco's manages to assemble my perfect pizza: the thin crust is thin and crispy bordering on cracker-like. The sauce is not a show stealer.
