It was absolutely delicious--just like my grandma used to make. We're definitely coming back to try the Cuban-style pizza and spaghetti. I also had my favorite Cuban desserts: panetela borracha and some capuchinos to take home. Who doesn't love those? They just melt in your mouth! The café is small and doesn't have many tables, but it's very cozy and welcoming. Both of our waitresses were incredibly kind and friendly. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Cuban food.

I think it was mojo seasoned, but I could be wrong. Strong seasoning. The chicken was made before, not to order, it was hot. It was a little overcooked and extremely salty. I still enjoyed to be different than the typical you get at the store. They say "a la brasa", which means cooked with wood or charcoal, but I couldn't taste it at all, so I would say it was cooked with gas. Never again.

It looks like I was very impressed with my Cuban sandwich the last time so I got another one today. That it was about 8am didn't seem to be a problem at all and it did make for a good and filling, if not unusual, breakfast. How was the sandwich? I still liked it a lot. I know more about Cuban sandwiches now than I did back in 2017 and would say this one while not so standard was still very flavorful. They list more meats on their menu than the traditional pork roast and ham. I peeked inside and didn't see anything else besides the two but I also didn't deconstruct the entire sandwich or look that closely inside. The menu didn't mention pickle and I didn't see or taste any, so that was too bad. I really liked the hot melty cheese and the bread was soft. Cut into three parts, it was very easy to eat and enjoy. It came with chips and I got a can of diet coke. It is a small place that is also a grocery store. They have a few tables and several counter seats. An informal place. I was able to place my order but due to my inability to speak Spanish couldn't really engage in conversation. Plenty of parking just outside.

As kind as could be they fired up the grill again to whip me up some of the best Puerto Rican food I have ever had. Disclaimer: I have never been to Puerto Rico, but I now have been to the best Puerto Rican food truck. The cook came out truck side to give me a run of the menu providing excellent insight. After much deliberation I landed on the Mofongo, La Canoa, and a virgin Lavender Margarita. Fortunately I intended to share these plates because the portions was massive, but even larger were the flavors. Mofongo is a classic and a special of the day, but for those who do not know La Canoa is a local dish featuring a baked sweet plantain base stuff full of picadillo de carne, spiced cheese and salad. A combination of flavors completely new to what I had considered to be my experienced palate. These dishes enrolled me in school, drove me to the bus stop, picked me up later that afternoon, and even helped me with my homework they were so good. Sweet meets savory. Soft meets crisp. Daniel meets heaven. The Lavender Margarita likewise was entirely new and the only thing it was missing was tequila which I quickly found on my shelf to take an already incredible variation on a traditional beverage to the next level. I need to hammer down their hours, but had at least tried to provide you all with a view of their menu in addition to a laundry list of reasons to go check this place out!
