We had the most delicious Peruvian lunch! Every dish was incredible especially the fried calamari and pollo saltado. The steak and ceviche were also packed with flavor. This place is known for having great Churrasco served with a delicious Chimichuri sauce. Food: No Churrasco, entree size calamari, (delicious but with red onions?) Chicken Milanese - deep fried dry/hard - almost impossible to eat. Mixed Cerviche - pretty good Service: Grabbed menus, sat ourselves, and waited 15 minutes before the server attended to us. Half an hour later we received our waters. Half an hour later we received entree #1 (mixed cerviche), 15 minutes later we received our appetizer., 30 mins later we received our 2nd entree. After being there almost two hours, we asked for the check, laid cash, and left. Ambiance: very small dining area, loud kids all around us on a late Sunday afternoon. This place was close to the Airbnb we are currently staying at; I am pleased I have found this restaurant! From the outside it didn't look like much but THE FOOD!! The flavor of everything was so good; the portions were very decent, and I had some leftovers. We ordered a pitcher of sangria, which was refreshing and delicious. We came here because of the other good Yelp reviews... and we will be back again soon. 5 stars is a provisional rating; as we explore their menu, I will update this review. The food was very good. A good selection of meat and seafood dishes are available. My wife and I tried the paella (arroz con mariscos) and the ceviche mixto. My wife also shared a beef heart appetizer (not on the presented menu) with our friends. We've enjoyed several other Peruvian restaurants since moving to the Sarasota area, so we were hoping to order some of the new dishes (at least new to us) posted in the photos section of Yelp, but their menu has changed, or is a bit more limited in the off-season. Small authentic simple clean restaurant. I am glad I found this on yelp and other yelpers reviews were helpful. We tried the friend rice, jalea mixta, Arroz Con Mariscos Dinner, Seco De Res and Pollo Saltado. They were all delicious. In fact I was only able to take a pic of only one dish because we dove right in as soon as the dish arrived on the table. There was only on server and perhaps one cook. Had food here for the 1st time in the 2 years I been living in Bradenton i was exited to find a Peruvian restaurant near mi house and we did not have to go to tampa and it was ok, my ceviche mixto was salty hubby had the lomo saltado and it was ok but be aware they charge you a 18% service fee we ask the waiter that was there is that 18 % is the gratuity/tip the person said yes surprised that we noticed if you dont pay attention you leave them a 2nd tip. Wow. Bradenton lucked up getting this incredibly authentic Peruvian restaurant. Owned and operated by a Peruvian family, every dish we had tasted impressed the hell out of us. Youre gonna pull into this shady little strip mall and you are going to double check the address and not bc it is in an unsafe area but bc it is your webster's dictionary definition of hole in the wall. This is why you yelp though - you know this is going to be good. Once you step inside, it has a very inviting vibe. The owners very kindly welcomed eveyone inside. The decor is thrifty yet comfortable. Murals and pictures of scenes of Peru hang on the wall and while Peruvian fabrics hang from above. With spanish music playing lightly in the background, it created an environment that accentuated the south american cuisine without being overbearing. It was easy to carry on a conversation. The thoughtfulness and quantity of each dish really impressed us. Each dish was so IG worthy and i typically dont expect that with hole in the wall places. The portion size of each dish was generous to satisfy any appetite. Fish ceviche. Incredible. I ordered medium heat and it was perfect for me. The fish was tender and bursting with fresh citrus. I ordered the appetizer portion and was almost stuffed. Cilantro chicken soup. It was a sizeable bowl for an appetizer and My fiance loved it. It wasnt spicy just flavorful. Grilled Tuna Tacu Tacu. Just order it and send me flowers as a thank you for the recommendation. The last memorable seafood i ate was in NYC and nothing in all of Florida has come close to being that good. Burns - boring AF; Eddie V's - very good but not unique. The Char grilled ahi grade tuna eminated a smokey tones that would make any grill fan do a happy dance. The aji sauce made you want to break out your reusable straw and slurp it down. Sangria. It is quite large so we shared it. It isnt super boozy but it is very good. The young lady who was our waitress was very pleasant, attentive (without hovering), and patient with explaining to this "gringo" about alllof the dishes. The food was phenomenal! From the Yucca Huancaina for appetizers to the entrees. We had and shared, the Lomo Saltado, Pollo Saltado, Chaufa De Pollo, and a fried chicken dish with pkantains, rice and bean sauce. I don't care for the 18% "service charge. Since I normally tip 20%, I just had to add another 2% to the bill. I ordered my meal as a take out so I know it did take away from the restaurant experience. First, I'll start by what I ordered which was the Lomo salteado & Yucca Huancaina (I probably spelled that wrong) but it was around $23.00. For the portions I had for takeout I was left beyond satisfied. My lomo saltado was seasoned well but I wish I had more juices from to use for the rice. The rice was soft, the tomatoes & onions were delicious and the meat was savory. The yucca portion was definitely worth sharing between 2 people. It was crispy and rich. I wasn't a fan of the sauce that came along with it honestly. It was bland and really thick not to my liking. I couldn't complain about the food but I didn't get any plastic utensils, which I'm not entirely annoyed about cause it makes me feel like they're eco-friendly. Definitely will come back and I'll be sure to explore other items and eat in next time. I'm definitely impressed with their food and I love it. read more

This is a great Peruvian option in Bradenton. Out of anything that we got introduced to on this occasion, it was the aguadito de Pollo that was the most remarkable. It is a chicken cilantro soup. It's nice, warm, hearty and flavorful- Along with this we ordered Lomo saltado & pescado Ala macho which is fish with a yellow cream sauce. Dining at El Warike was a very awkward experience. The waiter did not talk to us, just took our order. We did not have a drink menu, so I do not know what the drinks were. Did they have soda or Chicha Morada? Do they serve dessert? If so, what are the desserts offered? We felt very unwelcomed and just wanted to eat and get out of there are quickly as possible. We have coupons, but did not use them; because were the only customers there for dinner service and felt bad for the business. Most dishes run an average of $15.00, which is kind of pricey for the area of Bradenton, the creepy mini strip-mall center, and the lack of service. The placemats looked like they have not been cleaned in ages, so there was food crusted on the table. About the food? The food is delicious! The portions are large. We had the Steak with Chimichurri and the Ceviche Mixto. The steak was a little tough. The ceviche was not the best that I have had in the Tampa Bay area, but pretty darn good for Bradenton. It's unfortunate because we seriously only live a few blocks from the restaurant and could easily visit once a week if the food and service was good enough. read more

This restaurant is like you were invited inside someone's home. The food is legit Peruvian home cooking style. The waiter was very nice and polite as well. My wife (who is Peruvian) and I just left and were very satisfied with the meal. The papa rellena app was exceptional. My wife ordered seco de ris and she loved it. We have been there before, and had pretty good food. Not this time. My wife ordered a chicken Chimichurri dish. Average, but nothing great. My Peruvian fried rice was swimming in oil. Yuck! Not good at all. What was worse was there was one girl hosting, serving tables, and fulfilling takeout orders. I had to go up to the water cooler, and get water and more paper towels. Wow. We are here from Boston, found this place on Yelp when searching for ceviche. All I have to say is, run, don't walk over here and get yourself some of the best Peruvian around! As others have mentioned, this is a little hole-in-the-wall in a small strip mall. Don't drive too fast or you'll blow by! We ordered the House Corvina: Fish and shrimp were perfectly cooked and so flavorful, chimichurri fantastic and the marinade/sauce brought magic to the otherwise mild white fish & shrimp. Just enough garlic. Rice looks plain but is flavorful and a great accompaniment to soak up extra marinade/sauce. Nice little side of yucca and plantain. Next, Chaufa de Pollo - great flavor, huge portion, lots of chicken and egg. The fish ceviche was out of this world - incredibly fresh. It comes mild, medium or spicy - we weren't sure re the heat level and they offered medium with a side of the hot sauce. Perfect! One note - we ordered takeout thru Yelp via GrubHub but the restaurant has no way to take online orders . . . they were used to this problem and just took our order, whipped it up in 20 minutes while we waited. But if takeout is what you want, call the resto directly and place the order - GrubHub won't take a cut of these people's money and you'll get your food faster. read more

Food in this place is good. What I don't like, read your bill, is that they include 18% tip on the bill without telling you. It does says on the menu that they will do for parties of 4 or more, and that is ok. BUT FOR 2 people? Is that legal? The ceviche was amazing, we order a seco de carne and the meat was flavorless and kind of dry( I know how to make this and I could barely taste the cilantro. My husband live the ceviche so much that this was going to be his new go to lunch place since he works near this place.... Then the bill came and a mandatory 18 percent gratuity was added. We tip well however when that is imposed on a party of 2 it really doesn't make u want to come back and in top of that they print a suggested tip amount like it wasn't already added to your initial bill.
