Servings. This is what we would described this place. Servings are huge. And they're serving their full menu. Started with chicharon de calamari, they looked like onion rings but better. No tentacles but they were still enjoyable with their dip. And of course, ceviche de pescado. Just look at the serving size in a bowl. This is ceviche heaven. Main courses were pechuga empanizada (breaded chicken), man this was also very good. Then the corvina cevichef which was also very tasty. If I compared this to the grilled corvina from Peruvian Grill, I prefer the latter as their corvina had a hint of crispiness which made the fish very enjoyable. Then the arroz chaufa de mariscos. Again, to compare the chaufa de mariscos of Peruvian grill, preferred the taste of the latter but that doesn't mean El Ceviche's version isn't enjoyable as it still is very tasty, plus didn't I mention their huge servings? Took home the leftovers so we can just stay at the beach the next day and enjoying these meal again. You're gonna fall asleep after dining here. No outdoor dining unfortunately. I've been to this place a few times. What sticks out the most is that the PORTIONS ARE HUGE. I've had a ceviche several times. It could easily feed two. It's a Peruvian style ceviche featuring a mix of seafood and onion and marinate in a citrus juice to cook. I love the acidity and it hits the spot! The seafood fried rice was spot on for flavor. Portions are huge for the price. But I found the food to be lacking in the loads of flavor I was hoping for. The yucca was cut on the big end, giving less surface area for the fry oil to crisp them and the sauce they were served with was cold cheese. I've had these in Chicago and they were served with a light vinegar that was perfect. Pretty disappointed in these. The ceviche was Devine. Light and crisp and tart. It wasn't served with anything for dipping like chips but it was yummy. The calamari was okay, nothing to knock your socks off. The dinners lacked salt or any other spice. But the real reason I gave 3 stars and not 4 is the service was SLOW. There appeared to be 3 people serving tables and it just took painfully long. read more

Good, but slow For tonight's dinner I ordered Lomo Saltados, which has become my usual Peruvian dish. Aside from being intrigued with a dish that has both rice and French fries, it has well-prepared meat in a brown gravy. I was pleased with my Lomo Saltados from El Ceviche, the steak reasonably tender. The restaurant didn't seem small to us, being the only customers during our early visit, but I suppose there were not many tables. We picked the table right next to the window and watched the people in the shared parking lot. We were there for a while, it took a good 20 minutes from the time we ordered our food until it arrived, and even longer as I worked through my large plate of food. We did receive some Peruvian corn nuts (Cancha) with a dipping sauce when we first arrived, which got us off to a great start. They have a section in the menu for ceviche dishes, but I was a little disappointed they didn't have an appetizer size with a smaller price. We took a pass. We liked our server, thought he did ok. It was noisy in the restaurant, a battle between lively music and a loud TV, both in Spanish. read more

This was my first time to the restaurant and I think it has very good selections and prices. Right when we walked in we were seated and the staff treated us like family. I had "Lomo Saltado" which was very good cooked to perfection and they made a substitution for me with no up charge. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in trying a new cuisine although Peruvian/Cuban cuisine has much of the same base foods as american so it's nothing you can't handle. I went out with my family and the waitress seen I was trying to take a picture and politely asked if we wanted her to take the picture of all of us together which I thought was nice. I think they have a family atmosphere and treats everyone that comes in as family which is nice as well. The desert was delicious I had "Tres Leches Cake" and enjoyed it. I gave it 5 stars for the tremendous staff, cleanliness of the restaurant and bathroom, food and desert, and price for what you get. I think you should definitely try it out!! read more

Very friendly and took the time to explain all of the dishes. The food was fantastic. We started out with fried plantains (tostones) which were fried perfectly. They had aji verde sauce on each table that complimented the plantains perfectly. My wife and I had the Lechon Azado with black beans and rice. The server brought us a plate of marinated red onions to put on the pork along with the aji sauce. This took the pork to another level.
