For starters, this place does not take credit cards. So in order to purchase a $6 order; you need to use their ATM and pay the $3 fee to take out $20. In today's day and age, that's ridiculous. Their bagels are very good, my family likes them a lot. However, we stopped getting them made there for two reasons. The first is because they use a MOUNTAIN of CC. It's so gross. I was able to fill a pint sized container with the excess CC from two bagels. The other problem, is they toast it too lightly! I mean even after asking them to toast it extra, they still barely toast it. The amount of CC is definitely the bigger of the two problems. However since we started buying just the bagels and applying our own CC, this bagel store has become a favorite. read more

This is the first time I've ever been compelled to leave a review! This place is packed for a good reason. The staff is friendly and courteous, the coffee doesn't taste burnt and is flavorful, and the bagels, oh my! They are 2-plus-inches of chewy goodness on the outside and pillowy heaven on the inside. And, if you're a vegan, this place even has vegan sausages and cheese that are amazing!!! My breakfast sandwich was so good that I forgot to take a picture before I demolished it, nom, nom! We ordered online to avoid the line but would not do it again. We paid for our order online for pick up. Bag has receipt stapled to it with the items in the order. 2/12/16 I just wanted to update my review and say that Baron's remains that best bagels ever. We moved to North Carolina this past year but whenever we come up to Jersey, we stop at Baron's. One time we brought a dozen home and froze them. They freeze/thaw nicely, if you're in a similar predicament (e.g. in a bagel wasteland, out of NJ/NY area, or obsessed with Baron's Bagels). 10/15/14 Legitimately the best bagels I have ever had in my life. They have incredible flavors, the classic (plain, egg, wheat, everything, blueberry)and funky ones (jalapeño, marble rye, french toast). They have "flagels" for the person who wants a less intimidating bagel. They make incredible sandwiches, breakfast and lunch. The ingredients are so fresh. And the cream cheeses are so unbelievably wonderful. My favorites are the Lox cream cheese (actual Lox in the cream cheese) and the Nutella cream cheese. One of my favorite places to order when I'm at work, they deliver quickly and are so nice. One Saturday morning, I drove all the way here from Toms River just for breakfast. read more

So far the best bagel place in brick. I ask for well done pork roll on a regular bagel with yellow American pepper light ketchup. It was right on the money. Also egg bagel with cream cheese. Best bagel place in the area (and there are lots of them). Great pork roll, egg & cheese sandwiches too! Friendly staff, service is quick, there can be a long line at peak hours, but it moves quickly. If parking is tight in front you can park around back. Enormous fresh bagels, with very generous quantities of cream cheese. I have them make mine with sliced jalapeños. I've been to many bagel shops in Ocean and Monmouth Counties, but won't go anyplace else once we discovered this place! read more

I called to place a sub order to go and was on the phone for 10 minutes repeating my order over and over again. The person on the other end of the phone sounded no older than 16 years old and assured me they had 8 inch sub rolls. So I order two and get told 35 minutes for pick up. Go to pick up my order and there is only one sub ready. I wait another 15 minutes for the other and finally left. I open my sub container and the sub is no more than 4 inches big.
