Bagels here are very good and the creme cheese flavors come in a variety, so that's a plus for my staff, everyone likes the vege and regular, I like the sugar one.. 1000% YES! The selection of bagels and spreads may not be as broad as other local stops, but my god this place beats them in flavor and quality! I got the jalapeño cheddar bagel toasted with a side of regular cream cheese. The bagel was so soft and squishy. The bagel had a sweet flavor to the dough which was complemented by the spicy jalapeño slices on top and salty cheddar cheese. I cannot say enough good things about this bagel. I just moved into the neighborhood, so I was hopeful to have a bagel place practically walking distance from my house. But sorry, no. One of the worst bagels I've had in the area, and that's says a lot considering how many bagel joints are within a few miles. Poorly formed, poorly cooked, poor selection... just an overall disappointing. Clearly, there are a lot of people who don't know what a hood bagel is since these guys have 15 locations (according to their van advertising). Also, no deals on a dozen bagels? That's practically a tradition with bagels and bakeries; bakers dozen! Hello? And sorry, but I can't take you seriously if you sell Blueberry, Chocolate Chip, French Toast, Honey Wheat and Jalapeno Cheddar bagels. Guess I still have to drive for good bagels. This place is rated at 3.5 star average and should be lower. Sadly custom bengals is hard to find but look around as you will find someplace better. why the bad review? 1 they are out of stock of almost all the bagels that they have listed. How do you run out of plain bagels and not have them coming in a few minutes? 2 the bagels are no longer fresh. 3 the 19-year-old behind the counter are deaf. How many times do I have to repeat my order? 4 and lastly there is the long ass line. That's OK talk to the people in the line all of them complain about the service. I showed the woman (short, dark longer hair) behind the counter the email, and she said that Jason said to take care of me. 10 bagels she gave me... 10 - Is that what you meant, Jason? I use to go all the time but stopped for awhile. The bagels are good but every time you get cr cheese they are very chincy with the amount they put on. The pork roll egg and cheeses have also been the same, a bit scant on the portion. Tried again and I'm just done. Paid extra for specialty cr cheese and there was barely any on there. The picture is cr cheese AND butter and it so chincy. There are way to many other bagel stores to go to in the area. read more

All Star Bagels is a Jackson stalwart. It is a small bagel shop with some good people running the show. The egg and cheese on a roll was solid. The sesame bagel with egg and cheese was also nicely done. The bagels aren't 5 stars but they are a good vehicle for the breakfast sandwiches. Breakfast sandwiches seem to be the go to here. Overall **** Bagels the way I like them, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, friendly service and throw in some interesting sounding specials like the Avocado BLT that my wife regretted not getting along with their support of St Jude's makes this a winner in my book. Setting *** Next to a 7/11 in a sort of dumpy looking strip mall is All Star Bagels. Nothing about the place wowed me and it is more generic local bagel place but it looked generally clean. They put a lot of money into the menu boards but not much elsewhere. The coffee area is a bit disheveled as some things aren't labeled and you have to move from one area to another to finish up your coffee. Service **** Lots of very friendly, young staff working with a ready smile. Food **** Finally Pork Roll, Egg and Cheese done right! Crisped up thick sliced Pork Roll, eggs over medium, gooey cheese on a toasted bagel. It took a while to receive but worth the wait and may have been one of the best I've had. Unfortunately the Chocolate Chip Muffin may be the worst I've ever had as it was dry and tasteless. My son tried his best to power through it. The coffee I felt was good, not great and the only sweeteners offered was sugar or Sweet & Low. Value **** $4.50 for my sandwich is a bit higher than I pay in NYC but this quality was much better. All in for the sandwich, muffin, two coffees and and apple juice was $13. read more

What an unexpected surprise. Happened to be passing through the area and stopping into the excellent neighboring pizzaria and saw this bagel shop. Where I live in Delaware, good bagels don't exist. The locals think the bread served at Dunkin or Manhattan Bagels are actually bagels. Yuck. So when I see a bagel shop in civilization, I stop and give it a try. These bagels are excellent. A nice sweet flavor reminiscent of H&H. Good size too. Wish I bought more to freeze! read more

I am reviewing this solely for their insane breakfast sandwiches. Every once in a while, I order their Slider sandwich and cry tears of bliss with every bite. I have never come across a breakfast sandwich better than theirs and really feel like it is a little known secret in Jackson. The place is family operated (and I love listening to them banter back & forth as they take order after order - this place is always packed!) and I have never had a bad experience. All Star bagels are the best around! They have great flavors, my favorite is the French toast! Their seeded ones are great too because they are just covered with lots of seeds on top n bottom, and all around, Yum! The people that work their are very pleasant and provide good service. I buy a dozen bagels plus 3 free with the coupon and it comes out cheaper than any other place around. We eat some and then freeze the rest for the week. They're still great after freezing as long as u freeze them right away after purchasing. Now go get some! read more

I'll be honest, the food and turnaround time was excellent, but the service itself was deplorable. When placing my order on the phone, I experienced some of the poorest customer service ever, but I was willing to excuse it since I figured it was a busy morning and the inside of the shop was loud ("Don't beat yourself up, Niko Z. Everyone knows onions and broccoli in an omelet is a delicious order; the young girl just couldn't hear you, that's why she was a total jerk and yelled 'that doesn't make any sense.' You'll dazzle her when you pick your whole order up in 10-15 minutes. Hang in there."). Unfortunately, when I arrived at the store, I immediately realized that the jerk from the phone might be the nicest thing going there. The two other people on staff were rude, disrespectful and plain nasty. They didn't have any memory of my order at first (remember, I was the monster who put onions in an omelet), told me I gave them a different name (pretty sure I always nail that when placing orders), avoided eye contact (I'll give you that considering I was pretty hung), and appeared to bark rather than talk. I work across the street in the meridian building and I wanted to get a bagel during my lunch break at 12 pm since they are so conveniently close and the doors were locked.
