I just miss these bagels and the bagel sandwiches of New Jersey so very much. They are fluffy, huge, and really define the Jersey area. I have tried, very unsuccessfully, to find a bagel that meets these standards (and price tag) in Ohio. Not to mention, pork roll is a foreign concept out here and bologna is the closest comparison. No one makes a sandwich like barons: a crispy fried egg, gooey cheese, and a mound of pork roll on a chewy egg everything...that's the dream! When I'm in New Jersey, it is imperative that I swing by Baron's. My go-to sandwiches are the PEC with ketchup or the steak, egg, and cheese. I've also had their chicken salad and it's more food than any one person should endure. The last time we went to Baron's we froze a dozen bagels in our Columbus home. They reheated nicely and kept us at bay for a while... read more

Cash only? Weird. Seen good reviews but the food is just okay. Bought a bacon egg and cheese, not the best-- bagels were not as fresh as we've had elsewhere. My friend purchased a bagel with egg salad and it was very bland. Food was a bit pricey just for a few bagels. read more

Staff is amazing, food is absolutely delicious and the.amountvof pork roll you get on a sandwich is humongous. Very personable atmosphere

I ordered tuna salad on a black Russian bagel. It seemed a little expensive, but what isn't overpriced today? I have to say though that it was 100% worth every penny! Not only did I get a bagel, but there was a potato salad, a fruit salad AND a sugar cookie. When I thought all I was getting was a bagel for $10 it was a steep. Now knowing what it comes with, it's a bargain. 10 of out 10 would return! read more

Baron's Bagels is hands down my favorite bagel shop. I recently moved to Brick 6 months ago and I am SO happy Baron's exists (even though I don't need to be eating too many bagels). Their bagels are always fresh and delicious, they always have flagels which I love, and the cream cheese is just PILED on so high. They have to be known for their large amount of cream cheese. My boyfriend always scraps some off, so beware if you don't like a heavy amount - just give them a heads up. The variety of cream cheese flavors is awesome and they are always trying new variations. The staff is always friendly and the place is clean. Extremely reasonably priced. Cash only! read more

Baron's Bagels - Bagels Near Me - Brick, New Jersey

Love Baron's Bagel's, their bagels are soft, chewy and delicious! Their french toast bagels are the real treat here, they cannot be duplicated at any other bagel shop. However, the veggie cream cheese should consist of more than just huge chunks of carrots and peppers. Or at least grind those veggies up so they're not such huge chunks - please? read more

We had made a quick stop for breakfast on Saturday and we will definitely be going back whenever near Pt Pleasant! Staff was friendly and efficient when taking your order and nothing but smiles. You get your moneys worth when ordering your bagels depending on what you get. We ordered a pork roll egg and cheese & bacon egg and cheese, both were delicious! It it's cash only so I suggest getting cash out before you head here! Also loved the different color bagels for St. Patty's day & tie dye! read more

Best bagel place around. The pork roll and cheese sandwich I got was absolutely delicious.

I have gotten bagels from here a couple times and they always taste great. However, they never listen to toasting the bagel which I can ignore but it's frustrating every time. Today I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and it was completely inedible! The bagel was a poppy one and had a sweet taste to it which it shouldn't taste sweet and the cream cheese was completely sour! I am completely disappointed and disgusted! How can you serve sour spoiled cream cheese to customers?!?! read more

Looking for your go to local bagel shop then look no further. Baron's bagels is your one stop shop for all your breakfast needs. Bagels are ginormous and full of flavor. From homemade Cream cheese selections galore to specialty bagels and baked goods. You can't go wrong with this gem. It's definitely on the pricier end but the portions are huge and definitely share worthy.. if you want to share. Staff is very attentive and welcoming. This is definitely a family favorite. Today was the first time I tried this place. I asked for a well done bagel, maybe they did they're best, but they gave me so much cream cheese! I have enough to put some on toast tomorrow! LOL The reason I'm actually leaving a review is the girl that cashed me out was SUCH A DOLL! She was so energetic and sweet, welcomed me for my first visit, gave me a menu for future use and pointed out they have a second location. SHE is the reason I'll go back again and give it another try :) read more

Delicious huge, freshly baked bagels with a large selection of flavors. Lots of deliciously flavored cream cheeses to top your bagel. They have salads like chicken and tuna to make a bagel sandwich. If you like pix, they have it! Great service. They are very busy. Don't forget cash because they don't take credit cards. They do have a cash machine in their store but, if your bank is like mine, it charges and so does my bank. But, if you forget cash, the cash machine is very convenient. read more

Some of the best bagels out there can be found here. I had a plain with vegetable cream cheese. The bagel was huge and I saved half for later..the vegetable cream cheese had peppers in it which made it so good. Love this place. read more

Monster sized bagels in all varieties. Fantastic variety of all types of flavored cream cheese.

Heard great things and came to try their pork roll egg and cheese. When i bit into my bagel sandwich, something in there was extremely sour!! I think either the porkroll or cheese had gone bad and they still served it... also the bagel i ordered was stale! I am extremely disappointed and do not recommend coming here. read more

Big ass bagel with a lot of cream cheese. Got the super egg everything with strawberry cream cheese. Strawberry cream cheese was on point! Had the cinnamon raisin bagel before too and it was SO good. This is definitely one of the best bagel spots in the area . The Western on a bagel is certainly a delicious monster of a sandwich. The staff here is also very friendly. They offer a good selection of bagels. Be prepared to take it with you as there is no place to sit inside. I will definitely come back here to try another sandwich in the future. read more

I absolutely love the food here, best bagels i've ever had, however, whenever I call to place an order, the telephone does not work. very inconvenient to have to go, order, and wait, whereas, if the phone worked, I could simply call and place my order ahead of time. best bagels though, honestly. read more

Been going to this place for years. Reliable, trustworthy and consistent. Plenty of options, super friendly staff and great food. Great pizza. Have mostly had appetizers and pizza for takeout. Everything is hot and fresh and tasty.

If I could give this bagel shop a 10 stars rating I would! EXCELLENT bagels sandwiches and coffee is on point! Service is EXCELLENT and extremely friendly and helpful! Best pork roll egg and cheese I've ever had! I drive about 20 minutes (going past many places with PEC!) to come specifically to Barons - that should tell you everything you need to know! I've also had a bagel with scallion cream cheese and that was amazing as well. Be prepared for large portions. My mom recently had the BLT and she said she loved it. read more

Baron's Bagels is the best bagel place in Ocean County. I go at least once a week, it is so good. The owner is the nicest man and makes everyone feel welcome. I am at the point where I do not even have to say my order anymore. When I walk in, he knows what I want. The bagels are huge and always fresh. The cream cheese comes in so many different varieties and is always fresh too! Their bagel sandwiches are amazing. They only accept cash, so be sure to have some on you. There is no place to sit inside, so everything is to go. There is plenty of parking, but if you go there at 10am on a weekend, you may end of parking by IHOP and walking. They do have call ahead orders, which is a big plus on the busy weekends. The sandwiches are literally the size of your face. I know for myself, I have a hard time fitting the whole bite in my mouth. My usual order is an Egg Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese and it is heavenly. Of course, I've also had the bagel sandwiches: PEC, BEC, PBEC, etc. Some people think it is a little pricey, but the amount of meat and filling you get is well worth it, and honestly if the food is good I'll pay whatever. The variety of bagels is amazing. Egg, Egg Everything, Plain, Spinach, Jalapeno, Rye, Marble Rye, French Toast, etc. One of my discoveries was the French Toast Bagel with Nutella Cream Cheese, so so so good! They also have so many types of cream cheese: Plain, Vegetable, Lox, Bacon and Cheddar, Nutella, Tofu Vegetable, Blueberry, etc. They also have coffee, hot chocolate, juices, milks, and other light morning snacks (like cake, parfait, fruit, etc.) There is no better place to get a bagel. They have two locations and both are great! It is a definite must for those bagel lovers. It is worth stopping by and trying, you will not be disappointed. read more

Great bagels but the help is clueless you'll wait forever. I guess a good tip would be to call it in and just pick it up.

Always crowded, always slow, only takes cash, bagels are massive, so not as tasty, but still not too bad overall

They have gluten free bagels! They arent made in house but hit the spot when you are in the mood for a bagel. The gluten free bagel is plain so it goes well with any of the spreads or sandwiches. They can also heat up the bagel unlike other places which dont for cross contamination. First time I went I got a sausage, egg and cheese - delish and the sweetness of the breakfast sausage makes the gluten free bagel a little sweet as well. Then I got the lox and cream cheese, very generous helping of the spread. Prices are as expected. I was speaking with one of the guys who worked there, I didn't catch his name but he seemed like the manager or owner. His daughter has a gluten allergy. Knowing the staff has some personal connection to an allergy/diet restriction always makes me feel more confident that they try to be mindful of the allergy needs. They are also observant of the COVID guidelines, everyone wears a mask CORRECTLY and if they have too many people inside, they politely ask people to wait outside (they will come out and call your name when your order is ready) read more
