I had a wonderful experience here working with Craig. I came in to look at a specific vehicle and Craig did not try to dissuade or upsell me, no gimmick and no false promises. The vehicle looks and runs well and is properly priced, it is a 2012 Nissan Sentra. the management here are good Christian people and insist that high moral and ethiical values are used during the sales process. You come in and are greated nicely, there is Christian music playing, which is my thing. I even found one of my church family worked here by coincidence. My car was delivered within an hour and a half of purchase and I drove it home. They inspect it and do some work to make sure the car going out is in proper condition. I got a terrific warranty and I could only have been happier if the financing and delivery process were a tad bit faster, but in the end, you do not want to fully rush a car. To get a text midday at work with a condescending sales guy, not my idea of how to get a sale. Craig contacted me today about an inquiry via truecar, i asked if the price quoted was the out the door price or if I was going to have to pay BS fees ontop of it. The response? "Obviously..I'm the best price you saw or you wouldn't be looking to come here from Mamaroneck." For me to respond with "Awesome attitude. You just lost a potential sale. Dumbass." His classic response? "Your not Potential anything but a headache..Prices and fees are fully disclosed on the True Car site." A simple yes, thats the out the door price or No, there are additional fees would clearly have sufficed... Apparently, craig thinks otherwise. Craig received a screenshot of my bank account to show that im certainly serious and able to purchase a car, and he wisely learned how to stop responding. Beware, the finance manager is a liar, she added 4,000 dollars to my loan by lying and falsfying numbers. She added a 2400 extended warranty on my loan and told me it was needed to finance my car. Which was a totally lie. She double talks and lies so beware. After being there for hours, I fell victim to this. So please beware, they have a D- in BBB. Please don't make my mistake, do research, after a long day in their establishment don't sign anything, go home and think about it. We got a great car at a good price. The car had a few issues but they quickly sent us to their repair shop and they handled it right away. Part of the concern people have with buying a used car is the issues that may come up. Baron completely stood behind their sale and addressed all our concerns. Zero stars ! These people are crooks ! Never again ! I financed a car from them back in 2013 when I was 24 and they lied about the car never having accidents. Never showed me the damn car fax and suggested that I "trust" him. When I went to trade in the car in 2016 this is when I found out all of the crap ! Also within 3 months of having the car the alternator went bad! I can't remember the mans name but he was black. I will never buy from them again. And if you do decide to purchase with them be on your A game. Know you stuff because they will take advantage if they can. Very bad experience here!!! !!!!The FI manager here name "Fred" is crooked person I have ever seen !!!!!!! play" run around "game and lies to me when I asked him to cancel my extended warranty.later found he never did so I have to cancel it from the warranty company directly.Now,the refund has been issued back to the selling dealer but they are not willing to give me any update! Have contacted them many times and asked to speak with their general manager and no one can get me to speak with general manager without any reason !!!!! It has been a half year. They don't even deserve one star!!!! They're all horrible. Sold me a $2,900 warranty and 28 days after I had the vehicle my car stop working!!!!!! Called them for a week straight nobody got back to me. Text the sales person who usually texted me right away when he was trying to get the sale. Finally got in touch with a different rep who told me the warranty only worked with their specific shop which happens to be over 30 miles away from me so that's inconvenient plus they don't do loners nor provide rentals. Took it to dealer of choice & they said warranty didn't cover anything that was wrong. Also charged me for GAP insurance when I called the lein holder they said I did not have it and they cannot longer add it. Both Sue and Craig are liers and horrible people for stealing people's money with no shame. Last but not least offered me a car detail since car had a hit and after leaving my vehicle with them for 3 days all they did was wash it..... I will never buy a car from Baron again. Back in 2011, When I was 19, I financed a car through Baron on my own. They were extremely pushy, but none the less, I patiently waited till they found a car from me to finance. Being 19 with very little to no credit, they found a car. Little did I know that this 2007 car would be a lemon. The car did not even last 8 months. Luckily I took it to millennium Honda and they were able to take it as a trade in - for a very low price. I went to Baron's looking for a used car for my daughter. The dealer had many cars and they were all indoors so it was nice to be able to casually look around. Jerone Sealy was my salesman and he was amazing. He introduced himself, showed me a few cars he thought I might like and then left me to look around and take pics to send to my daughter. Do not, DO NOT, engage with these people. There are five unsolved complaints against them on the BBB NY website, mine being one of them. Their BBB rating is F(!!!). I bought a great car from them, but the whole experience has been and remains and ongoing nightmare. They overcharged us for the car, even though they promised to honor the TrueCar price, and it took months for us to get that money back. They also added a warranty that we explicitly turned down, and we are still (11 months later) trying to get our money back for that. Our sales rep Jerome has left since we bought our car, and now the whole staff there is playing hot potato with the phone when we call. I corresponded with Sue and Joe for a few months, before Sue finally, back in February, told me she would submit the paperwork with the bank, and I would be notified by the bank when the refund had been processed. When by May nothing had happened and the bank had no communication with Baron on file, I called back, and Sue told me I had to speak to Ed, and Ed only - he was the only one that could respond to my complaint. So I try reaching Ed which is IMPOSSIBLE. In a year of calling and after three visits to the store (we live in NJ, which is the only reason I'm not there every day), I have still NEVER laid eyes or ears on the Ed. Finally, today, Pricilla, without explanation, forwards me to Melissa's voicemail (I have never heard Melissa mentioned in these whole 11 months. No one ever mentioned her name, and today they tell me she has been there for quite a while, and she is in charge of the warranties. COME ON! They ALL knew our complaint was about the warranty, so why have I not been put in touch with her till now? Because, they're playing hot potato and holding onto their junk until we finally give up and they get to keep their money). So I leave a voicemail for Melissa and call Pricilla back. Pricilla has no explanation for why I haven't been connected with Melissa before, and insists she knows nothing about my case and can't answer any of my questions. Excuse my French but I'm gonna absolutely call it: BS! They clearly know who we are by now and it is obvious from the second they reluctantly pick up the phone and transfer us to some new voicemail. I put so much good faith in these people, even after 7 months of being tossed around like hot trash I never had an attitude, never cussed at them and never left a public review or rating of any kind. And let me reiterate: we called them several times a week, sometimes several times a day, for MONTHS. We have been told Ed will be in at noon, just to be told at noon that he was there but just left. I have been told that Sue was on the phone and Ed was not working that day, just to call back 10 minutes later and be told that Sue was home sick, and Ed just went out to lunch. It is OBVIOUS that they are trying to ghost on us. I remember checking yelp reviews before we bought the car, thinking those bad reviews were the odd ones out and that we wouldn't get sucked into the car salesman trickery that inevitable happens at every dealership, but oh how I wish I could go back and undo this entire business. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!Run from this dealership!!! I had a horrible experience with this place. I used Capitol One Navigator to help me shop for my vehicle. I wanted to use Capitol One because I bank with them and I have a credit card with them and they seemed to be a good bank to me. I applied with them for an auto loan online and I was pre approved and Baron Auto Outlet was one of there approved vendors. I deiced to stop by after doing some research I found some cars I was interested in seeing. I stopped by a Sunday afternoon and met with a salesman by the name of Jerome aka Jay. I explained my situation to Jay that I really didn't want to come out of pocket with anything hoping taxes and any fee would be incorporated into my loan since before I went to see the car I spoke to sales rep at Capitol One to go over my application and what to expect and I was told I didn't require a down payment so when I spoke to Jay I explain all this to him. We seen several cars and he mentioned a few that would work that wouldn't require a down payment and I was ok with it of course. We left off in submitting my application to Capitol One with my offer of the Nissan Sentra and my second choice would be the Chevy Cruz. I left Baron Auto thinking either the Nissan Sentra would be approved if not the Cruz and my Surprise next day.... I called Capitol One just to check the status of my application and to my surprise I was told my application was Approved but with a NIssan Versa not a Nissan Sentra. I asked the rep at Capitol One to double check and she told me a Nissan Versa application was submitted not a Nissan Sentra. I than called Jay at Baron Auto and was told they submitted the application for three cars the Versa, Sentra and Cruz but only the Versa was approved with the terms I was looking for but when I told Jay I spoke to Capitol One and I was told different my call was disconnected. I called again and he said Sue from financing was on the phone with Capitol One and that all three cars were submitted and she would call me back and I told Jay I will call Capitol One myself again and get to the bottom of it. I called Capitol One again and was told once more that Baron Auto did submit only one application for a Nissan Versa and it was approved and they have no record of any other car applications. I filed a complaint with Capitol One because Baron Auto is listed as one of there approved vendors and should not be on that list if they are unethical and are dishonest and sneaky. They should have submitted my application for both cars as agreed because that is the right thing to do and allow myself to determine if I wanted to go ahead with the terms and not submit an application with a total different car and then lie about it and say they submitted all three cars and Capitol One only approved that one.... Horrible and after Capitol One followed up with my complaint and called Baron Auto they had until the next morning to submit my application to comply with Capitol One vendor agreement as per the manager at Capitol One I was told and they reassured me that they will follow up and call me the next morning. The next day Capitol One did call to let me know that they did submit the application to the correct vehicle but increased the sale price from $10,998 to almost $15K but as I told the rep from Capitol One that I was going to expect that from them but even though I was approved I was not going to do business with them after what they did. I found a better car more equipment at another dealership and was approved with no money down and no headache's. I will defiantly NOT recommend this place to anyone and this is why I took the time to share my experience because I wouldn't want anyone else to go through this and if you decide to stop by and try for yourself please make sure when submitting your application its for the right vehicle and verify the vin number. read more
