Went here the last night of our stay at GWL. ( 3/13) By far the worst meal we've had in a long time. Could only get a 830pm reservation 3 days in advance (notified at check in of need for reservations) We we're not seated until almost 850. We were in line for over 15min with no hostess or communication as to the wait. Then had to wait over an hour for our food. Ordered the calamari appetizer and it was cold and chewy. Ribeye was almost uneatable. Salad didn't make it out until the meal. My son's salmon was spot on but that was the only edible part of the meal. Fries had been sitting so long they were cold and soggy, they did replace those after another wait. This was a $60 meal at best not the $150 I ended up having to pay. Would not recommend. Make reservations at Mare Sol in LaGrange instead, more food, better foods and service for a similar price. read more

I ordered the fried calamari which tasted like it came fresh out of the ocean, it tasted like the only seasoning this restaurant used was pure salt. I arrived for my reservation at 8:30pm it took 5 minutes for the drinks to arrive at the table after ordering I sat at the table with the waitress coming back once to refill the drinks I finally received my food at 9:46pm without so much of I'm sorry it's taking awhile between 8:40 to 9:46 the waitress continued to walk past my table without a wince once I finally say something the manager comes over and offers 15% off the bill. YUM. Everything we had was awesome. The spinach artichoke dip appetizer was tasty. I had the wild mushroom papardelle pasta and it we excellent. I want to say the pasta was fresh and hand cut. This review is a review of the restaurant itself not the questionable, chaotic, and overpriced resort in which it resides. We chose the restaurant for our first dinner at our stay for its ease of location and what we thought would be a generally quicker dinner. The reservation process was quick and easy through the yelp app system which gave us hope about the restaurant's management. We reserved a dinner for 7:45 and we're seated around 8:10. The restaurant was extremely loud although that may half be because of the resort. We sat with no service pr communication for about 15-20 minutes before one of the servers that were running the restaurant got to our table to get our drink, appetizer, and entree orders. We then proceeded to wait 40 minutes before we finally got our single ( yet cold) appetizer. Our server then ran off while we had no silverware or napkins and it took another 10 minutes to get someone to bring us silverware to eat the appetizer. The appetizers were average (possibly better if they weren't cold) but then the server (who was very young and inexperienced) proceeded to disappear with little contact for another 1 hour, during which we expressed our issues and displeasure with wait time to our server, until our food arrived. We received 1/2 of our ordered food, waited another 10 minutes then received the other half. It was now 9:50 and the people around (with young kids) still also hadn't received their food and we're starting to get rightfully upset with management. The dinner was mediocre (over cooked and with little flavor). We left after a brief conversation about the service with the floor manager at that was that. Would not recommend the restaurant to anyone or the resort as a whole. read more

We enjoyed our meal at Barnwood in the Great Wolf Lodge. Our server, Jessica, was friendly and attentive. The food was worth the price for it being in the GWL. One of my kids ordered the kids tacos, and she said it was delicious. The presentation also made it more special for her. Another kid ordered the cheeseburger, and it was a good-sized burger. From the adult menu, loaded Mac and cheese and the fried chicken sandwich were enjoyed. Finally, service was efficient. We were seated upon arrival and we're finished within an hour. If/when we return to GWL, I would come again. read more

You can't make a reservation if you are staying at the hotel. You have to download the app, create an account. Then, it is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday after you try to make an online reservation and see the sign out front when you get down stairs. read more

Had a party of five and everyone's food was excellent. Wasn't crowded (had a late reservation) and the food came out quickly, but with enough time to enjoy the appetizer, Bavarian pretzels (which were a hit with our whole group), and a salad (which was big enough for three to share). We mainly ordered chicken entrees and burgers, but all were excellent and my burger and fries were particularly great. Our waitress, Shannon, did a terrific job being attentive, bringing drink refills, grabbing extra condiments we requested, and being extremely friendly. Had read a number of bad reviews on this restaurant noting bland food and slow service. I cannot speak to those individuals' experiences, but it was the exact opposite experience for us. read more

We are currently at Great Wolf Lodge in Lagrange, Georgia. It's my husband's birthday so I decided to book this restaurant as a surprise for him. The reservation process on yelp was very easy. I received a confirmation email after I made the reservation and a reminder email the day of. We showed up a few minutes early for the reservation. The restaurant was nice on the inside and appeared clean. The waiter was nice and kept our drinks filled. We sat across from a family of 3 that was seated not long before us. We are a family of 4 2 adults and 2 kids. We ordered th 12 wings for our appetizer. Our appetizer came out really fast. The wings were huge with an excessive amount of sauce but not a problem. After our appetizer we sat for over an hour waiting on our meal. During this time the family of 3 finished their appetizer, ate their meal, dessert and left all while we were still waiting on our meal. We had the same waitress as the family of 3 and she kept apologizing saying she doesn't know why it's taking so long in the kitchen. At the time the restaurant was not busy but it became busier the longer we sat. Almost 1 hr and 10 mins. later our mediocre and tasteless meal arrived. The ribs were not tender and tasted like ham for some strange reason. My husband's broccoli pasta was watery and bland. My fries were cold and the kids were lukewarm. On the high note the kids loved their butter noodles. All in all I would skip this overpriced restaurant. read more

I am aware that while at a resort like this you will always pay more than you should but this place was over the top pricey. To top that off the food wasn't even good. I got the loaded mac and cheese which was very bland. My friend got the mushroom pasta dish which was also lacking flavor. My one daughter got grilled cheese which was fine but my other daughter got chicken tenders which were very chewy. I had high hopes, because this restaurant was recommended. We ordered two pasta dishes and a kids chicken finger. The mushroom, asparagus, pasta and added grilled chicken. It was flavorless and I couldn't eat it. I ended up eating the protein and snacking in the room. The second pasta dish was a spicy shrimp pasta. It was drowning in oil. I had to come here and leave a review because so many reviews for this place are not good and that left me really skeptical about spending my money here. In the end, convenience won out and I'm so glad it did. We had a really great experience here. To begin with, my son has a couple of food allergies and the chef stopped by our table after we sat down to talk with us about any issues in the kitchen. I think it's so nice when they do this and gives me an extra layer of security for my kiddo. And we were so happy with all of the food. The Bavarian pretzel was soft and tasty. The adults ate a salmon rice bowl and a build your own burger which were both Fantastic. The burger was one of the best I've ever had! Huge and greasy! And i topped it with blue cheese, bacon and carmelized onion. The kids Mac and cheese was seriously delicious... it looked so good I stole a bite for myself! The only things we weren't overly impressed by were the kids fruit (very little and not great) and the fries were a bit dry... plenty got eaten anyhow. Overall, for being able to walk downstairs and have a meal that wasn't pizza or hot dogs, right inside the resort, we thought this restaurant was a fair value. Excellent service. Fresh quality food. We ate here during our stay for my daughter's birthday. As expected in a place like Great Wolf Lodge, It's a bit over priced, but not by very much. I had the BBQ chicken salad, my husband had the roasted chicken, and my daughter had Mac and cheese. We shared a Bavarian pretzel and I also had a Sangria. Everything was great. Service was above and beyond. If you are at GWL and want a little bit more than pizza or a burger, definitely give this place a try. My party of 3 wasn't greeted when we arrived to make reservations. There were 3 young ladies doing something on a table. Out of the 3 ladies at least 1 could have at least greeted us and ask could we please give them a moment. After several minutes of waiting 1 of the ladies just looked at us and still never even apologized us. As If we were bothering them. And we were their to support this establishment. I asked about a table for 3 at which time I was told a hour wait. Ok fine, when we arrived again at our reserved time. Once again we still weren't greeted. A couple of young ladies spoke among each other. 1 grab some menus and seated us. Not sure if these young ladies are Mute or what but this was so unprofessional. You host really needs some customer service training. The best outcome of our evening and made everything at ease was the waitress Madison. So cheerful, and pleasant. The young ladies at the front really can take some customer service lesson from her. I ordered macoroni and cheese and they came with fries for my 2 year old son. He didn't touch the macoroni. I guess the fries were good, because he ate them all. I ordered the steak well done but it was medium, It was tasty. My shrimp weren't cooked all the way. Everything was cold.;cold cold. and the Food was also bland. the only saving grace is the waiting staff TJ and Lucas. There are major flaws in Barnwood's reservation system. This restaurant has no phone, so our first attempts at making reservations failed as the phone rang and rang with no answer. When we came down to the restaurant from our room at Great Wolf Lodge, we were told that there were no available reservations for the remainder of the evening, however, the entire restaurant was empty. There were plenty of open tables and our party was small. It seemed that people were making reservations and then not showing up, which causes other people to miss out. I asked management "how" we should go about making a reservation for future reference and they directed us to Yelp. Fair enough. The following day I opened Yelp from my phone and attempted to make a reservation at Barnwood for our family. Once more, there were no available tables...until 9pm. We have a small child who eats before 9pm, so this is not an option. We are celebrating a birthday at Great Wolf Lodge and can not even get a reservation at the only decent restaurant in the building. There are plenty of other food options throughout the building, but nothing nice and worthy of a family birthday dinner. If we would like to enjoy a decent sit-down meal we will have to leave the Great Wolf Property and drive to a restaurant off premises. Barnwood and Great Wolf Lodge need to come together to figure out a way to better serve the guests in this resort. Buyer Beware : if you aren't able to make a reservation at Barnwood, you will need to leave the property entirely, or stand in long lines for subpar pizza, tacos, and finger foods. Then you will need to circle the property, looking for a clean table. And then, you will stand in another line to get yourself one (and only one, no refills) drink, in a small cup, and the majority of drinks will be out of service. Barnwood, please consider installing a telephone, and keep the restaurant open to Great Wolf Lodge guests *only* during busy times like weekends and holidays. As a blogger and social media influencer, the restaurant issues are the biggest problems and deterrents for future visits. I've never encountered issues of this magnitude in all of my years of traveling and reviewing. Hopefully these kinks will be ironed out for future guests. Customer Service should always come before money. Serve the customer and the money will follow. read more

Got to a table pretty quick with 4 people. Then watched a family of 8 Come in, and get greeted by their server right away. We still have not have seen our server. 15 minutes later, our server finally shows up and says 'sorry i didnt see you there!'.... then they're out of corn beef hash (which being a restaurant, I dont understand how you run out of food). Then food comes out, and it is gross. Super greasy, COLD like it was sitting there for a half hour. I DO NOT recommend going there for breakfast!! read more

The food was very good. However, their reservation system is unreasonable. We made late reservations because we were afraid the kids would want to play late. When we were done with the water park, we passed the restaurant on our way to our room. They were empty. We asked for a table and they said they were full. I said you are almost completely empty. They said that had a lot of people coming in on reservations. Frustrated we walked away, but decided we couldn't do fast food burgers and fries again so we went back and asked to be put on a cancellation list. Five minutes later we received a text that there was a table available. We came in, sat and ate. Throughout our meal there continued to be open tables. We saw them turn away over a dozen families because they had reservations. This is poor management and needs to be addressed.
