Warning!!! My nephew got ruffled there. He was having dinner with his family. Suddenly he couldn't talk, loss of muscle control, started to dry heave and eventual violent vomiting. His family only thought he was getting sick - did not understand he was drugged. The following morning - he explained his symptoms. They looked it up and apparently there has been another incident about a man being ruffled here as well. Please be careful. Came here in September (2020) for Labor Day weekend. My husband was catching up with one of his closest friends as we were waiting for his girlfriend to finish work and join us. There was a bit of a wait because a certain basketball game was happening and all the tables were full. Staff was attentive and polite. My husbands friend brought us here because I had requested a "michelada." One of the perks about living in the mainland now (originally from Hawaii) is that I can go to a bar, request for a michelada and they actually have the proper ingredients to make one. The michelada I ordered didn't last long. I asked our server what kind of mix did the bartender use and he said it was a, "house mix." Dig the scene... basically a divey garage grunge feel meets rec. center lodge/cabin in the "woods" of Burbank. A great place to watch sports/the game if that's your jam. They do do trivia nights here on occasion and try to mix it up with cool events. I've been here a few times and even more so recently so I can say the portion sizes are great, yet the food is so-so (not bland, but not rich)... not a crazy amount of veggie/vegan/plant based options here... which is kinda sad in 2017 and in Burbank on top of that where everyone's got two or more signature vegan friendly full meals (not side and apps). The veggie chili is amazing. They're excellent at substitutions, however if you're like me you feel like you're being inconvenient somewhat rather than just placing an order versus can I get this with no this, that, and add that and those and not these... it's like having a food allergy or wanting to try something gluten free, bunless or cooked a certain way - if the option is on the menu it's a chiller vibe. A+ selection of beers - though I'm not sure how often they get rotated out - some old school video games MARVEL VS. CAPCOM baby - and rec style dinning area if you're not a big sports lover play some games. Staff is pretty friendly and attentive even on a busy night. The cocktails are on par with most to average. TV monitors at almost ever booth/table against a wall - so you can always ask for a channel change and not ever single screen plays the same thing just the big ones - had a good time with my table of four and just as good of a time with my table of five - though I'm more partial to my first experiences at the Barney's in Santa Monica I'll definitely say you should give them a try once or twice. Never had a bad experience here just bummed about the lack of food choices for a veggie and the noise level can be somewhat over the top, but I personally don't mind it - but have had a friend complain once or twice. read more

The servers had a really bad attitude I understand you are running up and down but it wasn't even that busy to have a really bad attitude when we were relay friendly. Atmosphere is everything here. Set up is good. The stadium makes you really enjoy the experience. Food is pricey and not anything remarkable. Lots of beer to choose from. This place is somewhat huge with a full bar and multiple tv/projector screens to watch your favorite sports. Interior decor is filled with flags, kegs, old car plates, old photos, couches, a motorcycle and lil red lights. Staff are professional and amiable. Foods are priced fairly with good portion. Turkey sandwich on wheat bread is tasteful and fresh; enough to satisfy a full grown man. Cocktails are great and prices are on the high end. Service was moderately fast. Atmospheric vibe is GREAT! This location has an extremely rude manager! Pablo.. He kicked my party and I out yesterday because we were speaking Spanish. My boyfriend said a Spanish slag term "guey" to his sister who was there with us.. Pablo thought he called him that slag and began yelling, asking my boyfriend if he knew him or if they were friends? He continued to yell and be rude with us saying he didn't like being called that word.. My boyfriend even apologized and explained to him that he wasn't talking to him or saying anything bad. We advised that it was a Spanish Mexican slag and he himself confirmed he was "Mexican." Pablo continue to argue and before we knew it the door security and a POLICEMAN were called to kick us out because Pablo didn't want us there. When the security and policeman saw no one was intoxicated or being rude they had nothing else to say and they apologized. They said Pablo was the manager and that he was requesting we leave. Pablo returned and continued to raise his voice saying we all needed to leave.. When we told him we would leave once we finished our food because we were paying for it, he snatched the receipt he had already previously brought us and said not to worry about paying. BECAREFUL! Me and my husband went here for our first time today. And we will not be returning!. I ordered a Classic Club sandwich. And after biting in to my 2nd piece of it I found a broken piece of a tooth pick.... I had removed the tooth pick in tack so there was another piece of a toothpick in their broken..... VERY luckly enough I didn't swallow it and even more LUCKILY enough it didn't do any damage. We've been going to Barney's for brunch for years... like over a decade, and the way we asked each other if we wanted to go there was, "Want to go get great food and terrible service?" But then, about a year ago, something wonderful happened... Ebony started working the morning shift! Can't say enough good things about this amazing lady. Well a lot has changed in a year! We absolutely loved this place and all the staff was like having a second family. The smoking patio was removed and we have stopped going. They no longer offer the movie industry discount. And their reward plan is a joke!!! I'm so disappointed in the upper management! This place use to be packed! We came here on a Thursday night, and was told that we could sit anywhere. Okay cool. Taking a look at the place, I really liked the vibe. We sat down and 10 minutes goes by. We were done with our drinks and yet no sign of our server. I understand that evenings tend to be more busy but I believe our server could have at least checked in on us and said something along the lines of, "I'll be right with you." I had a few drinks. Someone who worked there 8-10 years ago approached me saying she recognized me. I'm an owner upstairs of a condo. Guys approached me guess they are security and asked me to bounce. Said I had enough. Is Burbank Barney's communism cause I paid my tab and was on the FaceTime phone when they told me to leave and threaten to call cops on me. I had done nothing and advised them I'm an owner upstairs but said to me, "Maybe id like some of his dick." Wow after being a patron who is a good customer to be sexually harassed is appalling. This bar is my second home when football season starts. It seems like I come here every Sunday to watch a game. Lately, it been a little more difficult to come but it still doesn't take away from how good of a bar this place is. All the bartenders and staff are always cool and generally always in a great mood. I've never really had a bad experience except once when the manager gave me trouble for my ID that expired two days prior. But in all honesty that was my fault and they were doing their job. So I can't fault them for that. Keep up the good and diligent work. They have a great beer selection and it's always a good time. Ask for a creamsicle shot and you'll be delighted with a really good shot. Or get a Mexican candy shot. Those are perfect and remind me of the candies I used to get as a child. If shots aren't your favorite then get an ice cold beer. They have an extensive list As for the food they have a huge selection. You can't ever really get something bad. For me, it's all really good. I couldn't even have a decent conversation with my friend because they purposely turned up the speakers at 12:30 to play Last call for 30 minutes until 1am came . Why am I a fan? SMOKING!!! This Barneys has the best smoking section in all of Burbank. It's small (6 tables) and it is tucked out of the way - but it is a real accommodation for smokers in a city that has just BANNED ALL SMOKING IN PUBLIC PLACES.
