I'm it's hay-day, it was THE place to be, no matter which location. After all these years (and post any pandemic restrictions) it still provides a good time, the forever massive menu ( that you must whittle down the 13 different things you want before the waitress returns for the 6th time). Sitting at the bar is fun and the best direct service; I've missed that a lot during the pandemic. The staffs always been pleasant and efficient even when coming with large parties of peeps. It can be a bit too loud and hard to talk if you're too far away from someone and the wait can be lengthy, but overall it's an enjoyable time. read more

well an other place place down hill. i've been going here for over 30 years the one in Burbank the last 10 years and at one point I was a resident DJ there for all the St. Patrick's Day all the Halloween parties etc. etc. My son and I have a ritual of going there and getting the chili cheese fries add bacon bits and avocado. well this will not be happening anymore I went tonight with my wife and my nine-year-old daughte. the waiter was amazing. but it seemed the person bringing out the food brought out our appetizer to someone else not us. Then I asked for taquitos said no salsahave any type just plain taquitos with sour cream and guacamole . I got my taquitos with spicy sauce all over them, no sour cream, browning guacamole. I was served 4 taquitos and one cut in half on top (5). when I told them they then 15 mins later. and only 4 so I was shorted 1. along with my Appetizer of fried pickles. I waited do long I wasn't hungry anymore. then my wife let me know her bbq bacon burger was a PLAIN burger. WHAT THE HELL?????? disgusting customer service. got the bill over $60 & they took off $17 so so a burger and fries, chicken tenders, taquitos, three soft drinks and fried pickles was over $75 before TAXES? The female server came within two minutes which was nice to give us water. However we waited an additional 20 minutes and had to ask two individual workers to have someone serve us and still no one came. Our original server didn't bother to look in our direction. It took us asking a third time asking and then we got a new server. She didn't seem happy to serve us. Had no idea what happened but hope this isn't always the experience. The drinks were good tho. Barney's is consistent if you're drunk enough you might not remember if you're in Burbank, West LA, Pasadena, or even Santa Monica, but that is what a chain restaurant is supposed to be, it is a loud sports bar with televisions everywhere including at your table so if sports ball is your thing you're going to like this place. The food is fine, lots of options including vegetarian options. Don't get me wrong I don't mind eating here but it does rely more on its image then food. read more

Came here in September (2020) for Labor Day weekend. My husband was catching up with one of his closest friends as we were waiting for his girlfriend to finish work and join us. There was a bit of a wait because a certain basketball game was happening and all the tables were full. Staff was attentive and polite. My husbands friend brought us here because I had requested a "michelada." One of the perks about living in the mainland now (originally from Hawaii) is that I can go to a bar, request for a michelada and they actually have the proper ingredients to make one. The michelada I ordered didn't last long. I asked our server what kind of mix did the bartender use and he said it was a, "house mix." Dig the scene... basically a divey garage grunge feel meets rec. center lodge/cabin in the "woods" of Burbank. A great place to watch sports/the game if that's your jam. They do do trivia nights here on occasion and try to mix it up with cool events. I've been here a few times and even more so recently so I can say the portion sizes are great, yet the food is so-so (not bland, but not rich)... not a crazy amount of veggie/vegan/plant based options here... which is kinda sad in 2017 and in Burbank on top of that where everyone's got two or more signature vegan friendly full meals (not side and apps). The veggie chili is amazing. They're excellent at substitutions, however if you're like me you feel like you're being inconvenient somewhat rather than just placing an order versus can I get this with no this, that, and add that and those and not these... it's like having a food allergy or wanting to try something gluten free, bunless or cooked a certain way - if the option is on the menu it's a chiller vibe. A+ selection of beers - though I'm not sure how often they get rotated out - some old school video games MARVEL VS. CAPCOM baby - and rec style dinning area if you're not a big sports lover play some games. Staff is pretty friendly and attentive even on a busy night. The cocktails are on par with most to average. TV monitors at almost ever booth/table against a wall - so you can always ask for a channel change and not ever single screen plays the same thing just the big ones - had a good time with my table of four and just as good of a time with my table of five - though I'm more partial to my first experiences at the Barney's in Santa Monica I'll definitely say you should give them a try once or twice. Never had a bad experience here just bummed about the lack of food choices for a veggie and the noise level can be somewhat over the top, but I personally don't mind it - but have had a friend complain once or twice. read more

This place is somewhat huge with a full bar and multiple tv/projector screens to watch your favorite sports. Interior decor is filled with flags, kegs, old car plates, old photos, couches, a motorcycle and lil red lights. Staff are professional and amiable. Foods are priced fairly with good portion. Turkey sandwich on wheat bread is tasteful and fresh; enough to satisfy a full grown man. Cocktails are great and prices are on the high end. Service was moderately fast. Atmospheric vibe is GREAT! Outdoor seats are available albeit limited. Customers are friendly and nice. Parking is available on the lot but fills fast on Fridays and weekends. Overall, I highly recommend Barney's. read more

But then, about a year ago, something wonderful happened... Ebony started working the morning shift! Can't say enough good things about this amazing lady.
