This place has great food and service. I've been in a number of times and the ambience is my favorite. They have really yummy Cobb salads and great mixed drinks. We came in one night and they were doing karaoke. How fun! Parking is kind of tough since they're near the AMC, but we've always been able to find a spot if we look around. It's definitely a great spot to grab a bite to eat for anyone visiting downtown Burbank.

I have been a huge Barney's fan for over a decade, but didn't think of checking out the one in Burbank until now. It is the closest to my house and an easy quick drive. The parking is right next door in a garage that is free for three hours -- so convenient. The vibe and the menu are what I love about Barney's. It is so funky, so much fun, so filled with memorabilia to study, and then there are the screens at every table to entertain us with whatever is current in sports this weekend. We laughed the whole time at the timber contest events, for example. The service was great. Michael greeted us and took care of everything we needed. He was even able to make suggestions for me to ensure I had the vegetarian/vegan version of the dishes I wanted to order. Then there is that menu, OMG. It is pages long, filled with delicious (and a bit fattening, just saying ...) things that I expect when I choose to come to Barneys. From appetizers to desserts and drinks, everything is decadent and wonderful. See my pictures for what we chose. The portions are gigantic, so we took a huge bag home. The bill was really reasonable, even with the extra jumbo container of vegetarian chili I ordered -- it was so good! Everything is clean from floor to ceiling. We go at an off hour to make sure we get the seat of our choice and even so, the bar tables were filled with people watching the Dodgers, cheering and having a good time. Their joy was contagious. This is a place to take anyone and everyone from kids to grandparents. What little changes would I suggest? The tartar sauce was weird -- very rubbery and slimy. We couldn't eat it. The Caesar had a bit more dressing than we prefer. My Huevos Rancheros were fabulous but very hot and spicy -- I'm cool with that, but I think they should ask mild, medium, hot, etc. But, it doesn't matter. I love that place and it is on the regular rotation now, in beautiful downtown Burbank!

Great spot with too many tvs and too many tables. Who else can say that in Los Angeles? Decent beer selection, great choices for food as well. One of my "friends" got french toast while I had a different thing that was great. Talk about a wild ride. Service was great and knew how to handle our group of 47. I also needed assistance and received the assistance that I needed but with a smile. They really went above and beyond to get our items to everyone as fast as the could. I think only one item was "late" out of way too many for me to even bring up here because who in their right mind would read a review that was so specific to their experience that the review wouldn't really help others decide if they should go to the establishment or not? I also won some money at pool. The pool table is a classic bar table (not the full size but we had most of the room we needed - plus I had all the room I needed to win). In one situation, I wanted to close out but also wanted to add a drink. Things went well. Thank you

This is a cool spot buried near the mall and sandwiched between all the endless restaurants in Burbank. I came here with a few friends and we couldn't find anywhere to go for a beer that wasn't packed due to the UFC fight being televised. Long behold, we found this place. We grabbed a beer by the bar while waiting for our seat to be cleared. The food here is pretty good. We got the asada nachos and BBQ burger and more beers. Interesting setting with tons of photos placed underneath the glass of the tables you are dining at. I had to laugh at one particular photo of Diddy placed next to Marilyn Manson. Kayla was our server and was very attentive. The restrooms were clean and the service was great. If your in the area and in a pinch like we were with all the bars/restaurants being packed or placed with cover charges due to the fights being televised, i recommend coming here.

This dive bar is a staple for anyone who loves watching sports/fights or just chilling with friends to play pool. The food here is surprisingly good and has a variety! I've had pretty much every appetizer here and you can't go wrong. The sweet potato fries, burgers, quesadillas, everything was great. Michelada and their beers were amazing. And you can even ask to make your burger protein style! They have gorgeous outside seating with TVs everywhere. But my favorite was sitting on the couches in the center with a huge screen. This place is awesome, and unique. They have cool decorations like license plates from different states. Lastly the service is always friendly and attentive! Shoutout to Alex :) highly recommend this place! Parking is easy to find-- there are garages and street parking as this is smacked in the middle of Burbank downtown

My time at Barney's, every single time, is such an amazing experience. The food and drinks are never disappoint in freshness and quality. Denisse's service is top-notch at every visit. She's highly attentive and executes our requests in a timely manner! Because I wasn't able to watch the football games anywhere else I know I can always watch them at Barney's!

The service was excellent and fast but the food was not great. I imagine this place is more of a good place for a few drinks before watching a movie or just to hang with you buddies but no where that you'd want to come for the food.

I have been coming here for years but as of lately when I've been here, Alex has been our server by the bar. When you do come here ask for Alex and only Alex!!! Give her a raise! She's truly the best and is always providing the best, joyful service here. This place can be a hit or miss..but with her it'll be a great experience because she is that awesome. Sometimes it can crowed and other times it can be pretty quiet. You'll never know what you'll get. It's a great spot though to come and watch some games. Their s'mores are my favorite and their wings are pretty delicious.

Initially went here for the tiki bar but it was closed. This place is very unique, dim, and has a large variety of food and drinks. It was confusing whether we sat ourselves or if the waiter came to us. I ended up loving their food and drinks and the person helping us would check in on ur regularly. Very cute hole in the wall and I was pleasantly surprised. I would come back for sure.

Ask the Community - Barney's Beanery

Would it be ok to bring a toddler here on a weeknight? Just looking to pop in to say hi to a friend who's having a party here.

Totally fine.. plus there is so much there for your toddler to look at.

Are vaccine cards required? And if so can you show proof of a negative Covid test result?

We didn't have to show ours the last time we went and this was on a Sunday at 1045 before the hockey game started.

Will the smoking patio reopen now that the county is opening up again on 6/15/21 and lifting mask mandates?

The patio outside has been open for a while and as long as you're outside you can smoke and not need a mask

Is this place opened during covid? If yes, are there outdoor seating with TVs?

Can we wear sandals?

I wear mine there. They have never said anything to me.

Can you smoke here?

There is a small patio smoking section. Check with your servers to confirm which side is approved.

Is the patio small-dog friendly?

I've seen people with small dogs attached with leashes in the patio sections so I would say yes,

This restaurant level business has outstanding cuisine . Surrounded by great downtown atmosphere and massive meal portions provided here. The Grub: The star of the menu IMO, and is the first thing listedbon their menu, their exceptionally massive "King" Pastrami Burger, 5/5 stars which flawlessly combines some of the "best I have ever had" pastrami with a tender Waygu cheeseburger. Their highly recommended (By fellow Yelpers of course) burgers seasoned and cooked to requested perfection. My role dog today also had the steak sandwich 5/5 stars which was sliced filet mignon on a ciabatta hoagie roll and described the steak as super tasty, with the mozzarella cheese and garlic aioli closing the deal. To compliment the burger and sandwiches they add a generous mountain of crispy fries 4.5/ 5 stars with your order,( cooked similiar in texture and size of In & Out Fries) Which means if the burger doesn't absolutely destroy your hunger pangs the mountain of fries at Wild Carvery guarantees that no one leaves their restaurant complaining of portions size. They also have a surf and turf Burger that I will return for anyway moving on. Lastly I had a Mexican Coke and that was the only downfall as I paid more than $7 for one bottle, I guess that's the price of luxury, but I had an option not to get it and still chose to do so, they also have complimentary cups and water and will offer you ice for your cup. A spectacular first visit and meal is only as good as its hospitality, and the front-of-house team at this establishment provides an exemplary standard of care. Imagine rows of radicchio, rainbow chard, exquisite endive, squash blossoms, sunchokes and artichokes, fennel with their fronds tangled in long red chilies surrounded by pungent herbs like perilla, lovage, tarragon. An extra star just for that. But... My only gripe is their weekly Saturday BBQ. Through the years I have enjoyed both kinds of ribs, the brisket, sausages, turkey and chicken that they cook and smoke right outside in the parking lot. Even if you don't see it, you'll smell it within a couple blocks. I can't think of a better way to promote a bbq business and Handy Market knows it. They're counting on all the new customers who get lured in by the intoxicating scent of grilled meats on live fire to try this sad, sorry excuse that they call BBQ. All the meats are dry, tasteless and overcooked. They do not season any of the meat, not even a lick of salt. They want you to buy their sugary bbq sauce and baste them on the grill. Meaning you still have to finish cooking it at home but it was tasty enough and the price was low so it was worth doing for many years. Lately though, it's been expensive and inedible. The quality of all the meat has become sus and I was sold the driest beef ribs with texture like leather, that they probably dug up from the back of a freezer and a smelly turkey leg that's left over from like, Thanksgiving. My homemade bbq sauce could not save either meat and suffice to say I will never order barbecue from here again. What's happened to you, Handy Mart? I just can't believe you've slipped so far. This is the worst bbq in all of LA and I cannot recommend anyone eating here. Those brave souls who do not heed this cautionary tale cannot say you haven't been warned. Good luck.
