This also required them to change the oil for free (must be drained to access the bad part, a long story). Cost $0, as the part was indeed defective, a brake booster diaphragm had broken, again, in a most inaccessible place. That, to me, was honorable. They stood behind expensive work, and it's work not easily done because 1) it's a diesel van with no room in the engine compartment and 2) repairing this part-- and blame Ford-- requires tearing out most of the front of the engine compartment to get to the bad part, drain the oil, and re-assemble with very little room. The tl;dr: Upgraded because of an honored warranty claim due to a bad part they'd provisioned. Stellar.
