I ordered a matcha latte from their Starbucks cafe and it was awful ! You could see the matcha was not blended properly and just looks sloppy. I left before I could taste it or else I would have asked if they can re make the drink. However the taste was so bad I'm not sure the baristas know how to make a simple drink. read more

My family and I went by yesterday. I recently broke my leg so I was a bit of a mess but everyone from the Café staff to the floor staff were very sweet and helpful. One stood out in particular, Nancy. She found us over by the pop figures and collectibles. She asked if we were Lord of the Rings fans. Guilty! Lol. She asked if we minded she make a recommendation. We followed happily and she led us to TOLKIEN and the Great War. We added it to the stack of records and books we already had on us. She helped us check out which we were kind of pains in the butt because between my husband, my daughter and I we had a few 20% off a single item coupons. I've worked retail before so I know it can sometimes be a pain but she was extremely sweet and it never showed in her face that she was annoyed by it. We are always extremely happy at any BN but this one stood out thanks to Nancy. read more

This is a great place to come to study and/or do any computer work, or just to read and have lunch. It's always a nice, cool, quiet, clean environment and they serve food that the typical Starbucks does not have, including delicious cheesecakes. The food here is yummy and decently priced and if you have the Barnes N Noble membership then you get a discount. The only thing I don't love about this place is that they only have one outlet and it's almost always taken, and the last time I was there it was open but the outlet didn't work. So being able to work on a laptop isn't always possible. read more

Tasty muffins but no bagels and over priced. Not to mention they don't give out cup waters and the pitcher they use is always empty. I know because I've been here for four hours. Also extremely uncomfortable chairs. All they have to offer us is two small booths that were taken all day and hard chairs with small tables. Stopped by the cafe a few weeks ago since I was in Barns and Noble already. The would not take a starbucks gift card which makes sense because it's a cafe that serves "starbucks" but is not actually a starbucks. I should have learned my lesson and somehow stupidly ordered drinks again today. The woman made me the worst cafe drink I've ever had. I have never returned a food or drink in my life but I could not drink this abomination. My husband took it back up and she said they gave us exactly what we asked for. It looked like an Oreo milkshake. They reluctantly offered another drink option but they also made that wrong as well. I watched 3-4 other people get what looked like both of the drinks but made correctly. Don't go and get tricked into getting a terrible 5 dollar drink! This cafe is located inside the Barnes and Noble Book store and it featured Starbucks' coffee products, some of their pastries, and desserts from the Cheese Cake Factory. The also make sandwiches and gourmet food products such as chocolate covered nuts and popcorn. Google Maps led me to this shopping plaza the other day when I was looking for a Starbucks to set up shop at. I couldn't find a standalone Starbucks so I went here instead. Jacob rang me up. Super friendly dude and I appreciate the attention to detail to get order right--from how I wanted my coffee to how I spell my name. Jennifer, the cafe manager, also came out and chit chatted with me for awhile. The staff was just really personable which isn't what I normally expect from a chain. Walked away with a good latte (which wasn't watered down or too milky) and some unexpected restaurant recommendations. Random, but I guess they also serve Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes and can even get you set up with a whole pie if you order in advance. They were up selling it, but pretty cool if you have a gathering or, you know, want to let yourself go. read more

This place is always spotlessly clean and there are always interesting conversations to eavesdrop on. Just kidding. Mostly. Something to note here: although they use the Starbucks logo they are not, in fact, a Starbucks. You do not get stars for your purchases and you cannot use the Starbucks app, Starbucks gift cards or your Starbucks gold card. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. That said, because this place is only an imposter, they have different treats than regular Starbucks. It appears they mostly get Cheesecake Factory deliciousness in a variety of flavors - red velvet, pumpkin cheesecake, and chocolate cheesecake to name a few. In case that doesn't induce the diabetic coma to your liking, they have all the usual Starbucks suspects like croissants and cookies. The employees are always friendly here but just note that all these not-Starbucks foods are a pretty penny. I spend an average of $10 on food/drink whenever I come in which is double what I spend in a regular 'bucks. The atmosphere is quiet and laid back and you could do worse than to spend a few hours on Sunday afternoon here. read more

I don't get too fancy with my coffee as I can't really afford those extra calories any more. I take my coffee black and each time I had it here, it's been excellent. They have a few extra bites to get with your coffee so there is always something to munch on while you sip away! Also- inside barnes in noble so you can check on some of the new novels out! The service is good, the coffee is excellent (all the fancy drinks look great but my slowing metabolism keeps me away from those), and the atmosphere is nice. One of my favorites! read more

I'm a huge fan of Barnes and Noble. Luckily this one is really close to me as there aren't a ton of locations in general. Free wi-fi, coffee if needed and all of the book knowledge I could ever ask for. I just wish this location was open more hours like the one in Grossmont Center. read more

This place is great most of the time, the coffee is great, the food is reasonably priced, the store employees are cool. The one thing that is barf, is the loud barage of monastery choir music that makes your ears bleed. They also play some unknowns acoustically covering contemporary songs, garbage cover artists. This is so bad, the Hunger Games are Mocking Me. I complained to one of the managers about the music, I asked her "Does MANAGEMENT have any control over the music" she said we do, but the bad music kept on looping. I love this place, they have a large selections of books. They desert counter at the coffee have the BEST CHOCOLATE MOUSSE around! I have to admit, I have one every week. They have a large variety of teas as well. read more
