Barnes and Noble in Kendall right off the highway. I always pass by this B&N while I'm in the area and have been meaning to stop by and finally got to! I didn't realize that this B&N had two floors, which are my fav type of stores. Something about it just makes it seem that much more grand. The parking is easy in the plaza its situated in. Walking in, it feels super open and easy to navigate. The employees are are friendly and willing to help if you need to find a book or section. The store is overall clean with a big entertainment and toy area once you get to the second floor with an additional book area. It's easy to end up spending an hour here perusing all the sections. Growing up, this was one of my favorite places to go. Just being in there and browse the bookshelves was one of my favorite things to do. When I heard they were moving to the Palms at Town & Country, I had to go and say goodbye to this location. I will miss the double doors entrance and big welcoming entrance. The only positive thing about this move is that they had the whole store 50% off. I browsed through every full book shelf and picked up some books to purchase. However, seeing the empty book shelves was heartbreaking. I'm sure their new location would still be great but I will miss coming to this one. Hi yelps! Today 10-15-2025 was the grand opening of Kendall's new Barnes and noble location. It's now one floor, great lay out of all the books! They had a huge and great selections of all books. A good size kids area with seating, tables, legos area. Starbucks is still here! they now extended the cafe and it's huge! my caramel frappe was delicious and see myself coming back to the book store. Adults don't really have so much seating areas around the store other than the actual cafe. It's a great place to come study, read a book, come with the family. I'm happy it's still around! I was so upset to hear about the prior location closing but coming today - I'm so happy with how it turned out and appreciate all the effort they put into it! :) wish I would've taken more pics. read more

This location was very neat and well-organized. We came here for the kids section to find some holiday gifts. I am not sure if it is a cookie-cutter, same everywhere, but my local B&N is an older, small store, so this location's kid section was quite impressive. It was very well maintained and had a wide selection of everything you could want for the kids. My only complaint is that they put a big toy section in front of the books and almost caused a meltdown in my kids even before getting to the books. Not so great was the Starbucks. The coffee was fine, but the service was incredibly slow and a bit disorganized with my order coming out in waves - cookies, coffee, snacks, etc. Unlike most of Miami shopping, the parking situation was pretty good. read more

My family and I are connoisseurs of Barnes and Noble. In fact, that very store is what kept my family and me sane during our three-year stint in Minot, ND. Therefore, I feel like I can honestly say through my B&N prowess that this is one for the books. What can I say about this place that the pictures don't show? The store is huge, it's massive, it's two full floors with a cafe and a rather large Hispanic section. In one week I must have visited this place at least three to four times. Some B&Ns have a rather large game section, this one did not. Haven't been to Barnes & Nobles in ages. I came to do some work at their Café. There were NO PLUGS for the computer or USB ports for phones. The young woman at the counter looked like she'd rather be anywhere else but there and took quite a while to take my order even though I was the only one there. The only redeeming thing about the experience is that my drink was on point, but the environment was so depressing I couldn't really enjoy it. read more

I love coming here! This where I went after a movie in the shopping center next door and although it's changed over the years it still has a wonderful selection of goods, games, records (on the second floor). My favorite part is that back in the day my parents would bring me here and now that my parents are older they want to get back into reading more themselves. I love that their Spanish section is bigger than I have seen at other B&Ns. You make your selection, enjoy a coffee/treat at the cafe, and find books to sit in throughout the store. That open-mouth excited bewildered expression on their faces, running from aisle to aisle, not knowing where to start from? Well, that's a similar feeling I get when I walk into Barnes and Noble. That image of shelves and shelves of books as I run from classical literature to fantasy to philosophy to anthropology to non-fiction. Looking for my favorite authors, the latest books, even the smell of the books. In an age of digital libraries and audio books, I still enjoy the feel and the value of a physical book. With Starbucks being present in pretty much every remaining Barnes and Noble, I can spend hours drinking a latte and reading a book. Unfortunately I don't usually have hours at my disposal. Even the toy/game area they have for kids has fun and mind engaging games. When my kids were younger, going to a Barnes and Noble was one of our favorite activities. The second we walked in, each one would go in a different direction looking for their favorite area. Not too long ago I bought a D&D book from there and the whole family spent a summer playing D&D. This specific store even has a music area on the second floor,or at least they used to have one, which shockingly I have never ventured to. I don't seem to get passed the books. read more

I enjoy coming here to because I love being surrounded by books and having for myself a cup of coffee. Just like any other B&N establishment, they have many books under many different categories with the children's section located on the first floor and the music/audio section located on the second floor. They sell a lot of stationary and cards, and surprisingly, a lot of toys and games, as well. There's a Starbucks Cafe to the right side of the store as you enter, which sells pretty much everything a stand alone Starbucks sells. However, they don't take Starbucks gift cards since they are under B&N establishment but if you have the B&N membership, discounts do apply at the cafe. And depending on what time you come to the cafe, all the tables are usually taken. Tables can someone be dirty, depending on the previous person using it, and the chairs are very worn that the cushion is very flat with some obvious holes in others. Restrooms are located towards the back to the right and are a little "meh" in terms of cleanliness and tidiness, in my opinion. Barnes and Nobles is an awesome place that reminds me of a modern library where you can not only find or buy a book for people of any diverse group or simply spend time in a reading in a very comfortable setting sipping on your favorite Starbuck's latte. Place is very clean and has ample comfortable setting and a Starbucks. It's got all the most recent best sellers, school text books and old classics that cover any subject you can imagine or have interest. Surprisingly with all the competition in this type of brick and mortar business was full of people on Friday night. I fell in love with reading since I was a child. I remember having a library card and always going to check out books weekly. As I've gotten older I've forgotten my love for reading. Recently, I've had a spark ignite in me again and instead of me downloading a book on my nook(which has never been used and has a collection of dust) I decided to head back into a book store and just get lost. Barnes and Nobles is the perfect bookstore. It's so close to home, has a vast variety of books, records(yeah as in vinyl), story time for kids, and let's not forget coffee (Starbucks to be exact). There are tables to sit and study or read your book right there. Some people even plop themselves in an aisle and read right there. And I love the smell, I know that sounds weird but all that paper and hardcovers really just bring happy memories. I had been hearing about a specific book and so I went online to order it and received a 15% discount and it was ready for pick up in less than an hour. When I arrived the smell of vintage hit and I decided to wander around. Before you know it over an hour had passed and I made a list of more books for purchase after finishing this one. I went to the register to pick up my book and was on my way. For anyone wanting to still go to the bookstore and just do a pick up so you can still look at different books and items I recommend doing it online. For others get lost and go up and down all the aisles and find your secret reading treasures. read more

Love coming here!! Have been coming here since I was in college. Wow, that is a while back!! I enjoy coming to purchase books for me, my kid and now my grandchildren! They almost always have what I am looking for but if not they order it for you and email you when it arrives!! EASY!! On Saturday there is story hour for kids. There always seems to be groups gathered by the cafe which by the way is a Great Starbucks!! I come to Barnes & Nobles every so often when I want that childhood feeling of walking around a bookstore looking for a good read. No a days you just jump on a tablet and download books. But every so often I get the urge to just walk around and hold a nice hard covered book in my hand. These bring back memories of book report writing in grade school lol. Good ol' Barnes and Noble. I have been fortunate enough to see this place grow and change over the years. There are certainly a lot of great things about this bookstore - access to great books, cookbooks, children's books, magazines, notebooks, and creative kits. I would say this place is definitely best for the younger crowd. There is a children's section that is delightful and even a little reading nook. There are also tons of Manga and Anime figures for teens and young adults. Now for adults - I'd say this is a pick up what you need and leave kind of place. While the cafe does have WiFi and a decent amount of seating, it's hardly the place to get work done. First of all NO ACCESS TO OUTLETS. You better have a full charge. Also remember how I mentioned how it's a great place for kids? It can definitely be difficult to concentrate in that environment. Overall, I'd say I have a lot of love for bookstores and BN is no exception. But they need to do more to go from alright to being great. One big thing that has changed for the positive (almost 4 stars worthy) is the structure of the aisles and how downstairs is for the younger crowd/fiction readers while the more nuanced crowd can find their content upstairs. I have found the setup pretty helpful. But seriously, don't buy your books from Amazon. Support bookstores. read more

Just as someone said below, same excitement as a kid in a toy store, i get this excited at Barnes and Noble (or any book store in general). They have a ton of variety, very organized and I haven't stepped into one in a long time but now they have lots of games and legos and puzzles and toys. Lost a star as it is OVERPRICED. my nieces love books but they have so many at home, all they wanted were some plushies. one was okay with a small $10 plush but the other really wanted this really cute dinosaur. it was $20! just a different brand than the other plushy, same size, but it was a really nice quality so i guess there's the $10 up charge. Even some of the books were overpriced. good thing i only come here to browse and i'll find what i like at Amazon or at a thrift store for half the price (or even less!). Ive never been into a dirty Barnes and Nobles, this was extremely clean and like i said, well organized. a downside of this visit is that the down escalators were broken :/. i'm sure it happens, we had to use the stairs. it's okay but if my mom or some other elderly, incapacitated person came along they would need an elevator or something. also, no employees on the floor? there was probably like 5-6 employees behind the desk but absolutely no one walking around so we couldn't even ask questions if we had them. all-in-all, it was a decent experience for a Barnes and Nobles. plenty of parking and near many other stores and restaurants so you can take a longer stroll if you wanted too. read more

I do enjoy this Barnes and Noble but it is always packed to the gills and there is never enough seating. But, that aside. It is a great spot to meet friends, have a coffee, pick up a book, and it is close to numerous shops in Kendall. Parking is plentiful and the employees are generally knowledgeable. But usually you need to know what you want because most are not as aware of what is a good read beyond whatever just released. Overall, a great stop in the city. I prefer this one over the location on Miracle Mile. That one is completely congested and there are never any plugs available for your devices. read more

This Barnes and Noble is my family's favorite book store. Filled with all the books we love, music, magazines and a Starbucks coffee shop inside it. We enjoy eating breakfast as we read in the cafe. Their costumer service is always helpful and when we need a book and they do not have it, we go to the costumer service representative so they can order it for us at no extra cost. Once the book arrives the store they will call us to pick it up. You can join the Barnes and Noble club for $25 a year, with it you get special discounts all year in the store and the café. I can say I come to Barnes & nobles pretty often. I live by Pinecrest and have the sunset one closer, but I choose to go to this location. PARKING HERE IS GREAT. Parking for me is important anywhere I go, they have a HUGE LOT. There are many places to eat right around like roots, Einstein bros, and a cute diner. This place is considerably large, and has a substantial music section. They have old school vinyls, as well as new modern ones. Board games, drinking games, puzzles, candles, aromatherapy products. They really do have it all here, and of course the variety of books they have here is great. Always have what I'm looking for. Great place to come to relax. From the outside, this Barnes & Noble looks like your standard corner bookstore. However, just as you should not judge a book by its cover, the same applies here. Walking in, I was surprised at the sheer size of this place. It has a full cafe with food options, a whole second floor, and many cashiers for check out. Not only that, the collection of materials were vast and definitely comprehensive. I came here to study with a friend and it was easy to find a table to settle in. There's a whole section in front of the music department acting as a study area and the best thing is all the plugs available to charge my electronics. The wooden chairs were also very comfortable and I did not feel much strain after sitting there for many hours. With the cafe nearby, I rewarded myself with a Rice Krispie and spinach stuffed pretzels. Both were delectable and light, which was perfect as a study snack. Parts of the store was a bit unorganized and not so aesthetically pleasing, so a little upkeep and organization would've made much improvement. Overall, this location is very good for studying (just come early for a table) but also a good place to hangout and read some books! read more

Good Bookstore in the area. I like bringing my daughter since she entertains herself with the stage and enjoys making her own puppet shows. I like that there is a Starbucks inside! The place is always busy, not enough people on the floor helping and customer service spot is always busy. I usually come for lewisite, but the times I have come in search of book, it has taken a while to be helped. I wish there were more scheduled program for kids to come and enjoy. Wow, just wow! This Barnes and Noble is massive! Consisting of two floors, you're bound to find something you like here. If not, they have these machines that you can look for what you want. This is the only time I've ever seen those at a Barnes and Noble, so you can see why I'm impressed. Not to mention that the amount of seating available is plentiful. There are chairs downstairs at their Starbucks, plus plenty more scattered on the first and second floors. On the second floor, you even have an area with nothing but tables and chairs. It's wonderful. The staff here, too, is nice, and they keep the store clean and organized; all in all, I don't think it can get any better than this Barnes and Noble. read more

Let's start with parking, always a pain in the $&@" but eventually u find one. The spaces are really narrow too. This is my favorite B&N but it's almost always crowded eventhough it's a big store. Great magazine section and I always get a coffee and cupcake at their Starbucks shop. Good luck getting a seat, there are always study groups taking over the tables and chairs but if u wait long enough you'll get one. Hopefully!
