Located in the new Totem Lake Mall. If you haven't been here, you should give it a try. It's awesome!!!! Not only to visit B&N but also to check the other shops. I like this bookstore specially for children because they have the opportunity to touch the books, read them, play and interact. They placed this lego duplo table so cool !!! It is true that it might be a little pricey BUT they have a rewards program for children purchases!!! MOMs: They do have bathrooms but no changing tables

Today was the Grand Opening! Excellent bookstore. I don't want to get into the Big-Chains vs Indie issue, but this store reportedly operates somewhat independently as a result of their new corporate ownership. ANYWAY, this location has lots of parking, free wifi, masked workers, and nice selection. I got some signed editions by Kobi Yamada who was here for the grand opening. A worker named Max helped me and really knew his stuff about the books I'm interested in (let's just call it 'nerdy stuff'). So I bought even more stuff based on his recommendations. I will ALWAYS support a new bookstore! Welcome to the neighborhood, B&N.

Feels like a bookstore you'd see at an airport. Really missing any soul. Pretty depressing.

Apparently the new Totem Lake shopping center did because there's a spot here for Barnes and Noble at this trendy area, conveniently located next to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.

I've been wanting to visit Book Tree for the longest time! As a bibliophile, I try and support…read moresmall bookstores wherever I go as much as possible and Book Tree was a shop that made this easy peasy. We visited Book Tree half an hour before it closed on a Saturday, so when we walked in, there was a small group of people sitting around in a small group. The owner warmly greeted us and mentioned that they had a visiting author here, but if we had any questions or needed help, to let him know. A book shop that has author readings and lectures? LOVE THIS ALREADY. Book Tree is located on Market Street, up the hill from downtown Kirkland. There was even designated street parking just for this store. The space isn't the largest, so they're not going to have everything here. But there are so many treasures to be found! They have a first edition of many books that are affordably priced. Most of the books are used here, which I prefer. But if you're looking for a new book, they have a few of that. You mostly come here, scanning through the shelves, bending down and looking through all sections because some of the books will be misplaced and it's a little untidy. But honestly, I love book stores like this because the hunt for a good book makes it al the more appealing! And you never know what you'll find. I was able to find a book that's not as common and easily found at other stores of one my favorite authors. Score! Book Tree is a must visit for any book worm in Kirkland and beyond! The owner is super friendly and welcoming of dogs and the store has a good selection of books to browse through and take home! I'm so happy to have found this charming book store in Kirkland.

It's what every neighborhood needs, really. Ridgecrest Books is located in the Ridgecrest neighborhood of Shoreline, which isn't huge, but has just what this cozy area needs. Among other businesses, Ridgecrest Books is one of the few businesses on a central street with plenty of street parking. My friends and I visited during the Seattle Independent Bookstore Day, so it was pretty busy in the small bookstore, but was still a welcoming experience. They even had discounted books on racks outside the store, in addition to the collection inside. They don't have the largest book collection here, but it's curated well. I also love that this bookstore is dog friendly! Anytime I'm in the area, I'll definitely stop by and check out what's new at this wonderful, neighborhood bookstore.

I stopped by for the grand opening (3/9/24), had a chance to congratulate one of the owners and sign their guest book. They've been working hard restoring the site. Bright, inviting, lovely bookshelves and custom book ends. Filled with various book titles and subjects. And if applicable, nice corner spot for the kiddos! There are also store merch like onesies, Tshirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, cards, and stickers. It was nice to stop by and get an overview of their offerings. It will be nice to be able to place bookorders in my actual city, in addition to my faves in Seattle and Lake Forest Park. There's ample street parking, located at 165th & 5th near Crest Theater, Cafe Aroma, and Drumlin. Nice retail area growing in Ridgecrest!
