NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!! NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY!! We purchased a wreath to make during the holiday season. My two kids had been talking about it for weeks. Last year we went somewhere in Coeur d'Alene, but figured Barn 31 was closer, so we would try them out this year. On the website, you are only able to purchase a wreath, it does not give you the option to say how many people would be attending. It also does NOT say that it is 1 project per person.
We showed up to a full class. My fiance and I were willing to stand, so our kids could still make our family wreath. The store owner was SO RUDE! She told us we had to leave because there wasn't enough room for us to make the wreath since we had more than one person in our party. Her excuse to kick us out of the class was that it is 1 project per person. We asked what family has several wreaths in their home? She did not have an answer... We asked if this was not a family event... Again no answer. After trying to figure out what we could do, her only option was to kick us out and refund our money. She did not offer to squeeze us into a corner. She did not offer to let us take a later class.
As an educated person in business, I know that there is more than just material cost. A big cost is called "Opportunity Cost". This means the time and effort. Our family planned an entire night based on making a wreath as a family. We did not just just lose the wreath and the cost of it, but our poor kids were unable to partake in our yearly family tradition. The store owner did not understand this.
Finally, she had the audacity to deeply stalk my profile. She looked up my name from the reservation. She must have scrolled so far into my profile that she found out where my fiance works (he does not have fb by the way). So she clearly had to scroll through many pictures. She finally was brave enough to reach out to one of his former co-workers and gossip about the situation.... who does this??
