I am not sure why Yelp "flagged" my original review of this location, but I have absolutely been here (more than once) and stand by my original review, listed here below including the pictures I took while on-site. Been here a few times now, as they are conveniently located near my new Wednesday golf league (at Coppertop Golf Club, just down 303). Service is pleasant, albeit on the slower side, so be aware if you are in a rush for some reason. They have what I'd call a "typical sports bar" set-up with plenty of table styles and bar seating to choose from including high tops and regular tables...we prefer the high tops. Have now had their chicken wings, a cheeseburger burger and also a dinner salad...all were pub grub style dishes of decent quality and taste. I would have preferred the wings to be a bit "wetter", but the meat was moist enough. Beers are cold, plenty to choose from on the menu...so guessing this may be a semi-regular spot for us, once we finish up on the golf course. read more

We had a great first experience at Barley Jacks. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon and Gina was our server. I started with a simple mixed greens salad- perfect little salad, nothing unique but it was exactly what I needed. Husband had bone in wings that were perfection- crispy, plump, sauced adequately. Delicious flavor Then our sandwiches came. Y'all u was not prepared for what came next- they used their pizza dough for the sandwiches. They were HUGE! Husband loved his Cap'n Jack- it was a little like the Romanburger. Great grill flavor and meaty goodness. I really enjoyed my Cannon Ball, which is a meatball sub. The dough wasn't too thick and it was so cheesy! Both sandwiches served with fresh homemade chips. We liked the theme and overall atmosphere. They had moved around tables for social distancing and all wearing masks. Service was great and we thought the prices were a good value. I'm so glad I had this place bookmarked, we will be back for sure! read more

Good food and mostly sustainable. My chicken club was big and very tasty. Wrapped in a flat bread gave it a change of pace. The breaded mushrooms were fresh and not something out of a bag. Everything was sustainable except condiments in packets. They did automatically put a plastic straw in drink without asking but cups/glasses were reusable. Clean bar/tables and bathroom. We plan to go back to listen to live music. Knocked off a star because of sustainability and hubby hated dealing with packets to put mustard on burger. read more

This place was really nice and awesome. I ordered chicken wings that were made to perfection. I requested lemon pepper chicken wings and they were fantastic. I also stopped in for a drink at the bar and the staff and customer service was awesome and friendly. As you walk in the place is decorated for the holiday and is very nice to sit and meet for a dinner or lunch time event. Even though the place is not huge, it's perfect place to sit and enjoy a drink and a delicious meal! The bar is back with everything imaginable that you could order. I'm really impressed with this place. It is connected to a gas station so the outside is a little deceiving/unassuming. I've only ever picked up take-out but the dining area is very nice looking. As far as the food goes: The Cap'n Jack is outstanding! It is a burger in a pita pocket and it is delicious...and HUGE! It is so good that it is difficult to choose anything else. I have had a calzone too and it was pretty good. The sauce is a little sweeter than I prefer but the toppings (pepperoni and sausage) were great and the dough was tasty. This is a great hidden gem on the edge of Brunswick so don't miss out...and try the Cap'n Jack! read more

Barley Jack's is super cool. It's a small little bar in Brunswick Ohio that you can play pool at a good pizza and drink good beer.

Food is good, but you better have 2 1/2 to 3 hours to go and sit down to eat. Takes forever!!!

The Captain Jack Burger is the best. All of their food is great. The only issue we have is that the food can take a while to be cooked.

We ordered 2 burgers and a dozen BBQ wings for delivery. Holy cow the burgers were awesome! Huge, juicy and delicious! More importantly to me, they got the order right. Everything we ordered was correct. The only thing I could say if I had to find fault would be to leave the yolk runny that I ordered on my burger. It was cooked through. Really excited that this place is doing well. We just started off by getting their pizzas and their breadsticks which is very good very fresh and they always are looking for feedback on their food. They're starting to expand on a more extensive menu including sandwiches which of them that we've tried I've been very good as well. This is a tavern not a restaurant.We been there four or five times.I thought I would give my review.The food is pretty good.But the beers are over priced.Don't be in a hurry when you go here to eat.It usually takes an hour and a half.They share there kitchen with the pizza shop next door over.The pizza orders get made first before the tavern orders.And while your waiting for ever you will continue to drink beer that is very pricey.The service is not bad.Atmosphere is quite They need to turn the radio up and the heat.We have decided not Togo back for a year or so .Just saying. read more

I ordered the pizza and cheese bread special and wife ordered a sub over the phone for pick up. Was told 30 min, so we get there a little after 30 min to be safe and my pizza and bread been done just now putting the sub says will be like 10 min... not busy at all, now my food will be cold waiting on hers with way more time than they had said. Food is AMAZING!!! But the employees suck. Was told the delivery driver got lost. I live 3 minutes away, and it took an hour & a half to get here. When I called to ask about my order I was talked over cuz the girl was to busy giggling & telling "Adam" to stop. She sounded either wasted or high. We are new to the area and have been looking for a good pizza joint. This place is awesome! I called to order a pizza for my husband to pick up on the way home from work. Told them what time he would be there and they had it ready for him on the dot.
