We went to check it out before the family outdoor movie the town hosts across the street. The owner, Amy is very welcoming, passionate and knowledgeable about what she does. I went with my godchildren and they enjoyed exploring the store and the kids room to learn more about bees. The store itself is very inviting and she isn't pushy about buying her products. She has a lot of unique stuff handmade from bees including lip balm, Christmas decorations, soaps, etc. My god children enjoyed getting the free honey sticks of different flavors which is definitely a healthier alternative to refined sugar in candy sticks you see at other museums and candy shops. Amy also does school workshops and can be a great educational presenter to invite if you are a teacher or want her to visit your children's school. She also hosts small groups onsite as well.

The location its self was completly zen with a twist for a barn with variety of natural goods, tart cherry juice, upcycled goods, vegetarian snacks, dried goods, garlic, few Maple Sugar products, CBD oil and even have the orchard right on its location for cherry picking when there in season. We decided to try the pancake Sunday. We arrived around 11:20. We got through the line quickly. Their food is always delicious, but I feel like they pre-make everything so it was a little soggy/cold. I would say I was mildly disappointed. I get they're trying to cater to tons of people, but maybe there is a better way to keep things warm. I still wouldn't turn anyone away from trying them out. I've never eaten a honeycomb before, and don't eat much honey in general. But the really friendly Living Roots clerk explained to us how Wixson's bees actually construct the honeycomb right inside of the container you purchase it in. So we gave it a go. When we got home, before I even noticed, my whole family dug right into it, and ate like a quarter of the honeycomb brick immediately!! I was all, "WHOA, SLOW YOUR ROLL! GIVE ME THAT." As the proprietor of the venture, I had to see what all the fuss was about. I took a spoonful of honeycomb and ... YUP, WHOA, A BITE OF BLISS. There is a self-serve stand loaded with lots of kinds of honey to choose from -- light, dark, different flowers, honey butter, and sometimes drippy raw honeycomb. We have been buying from Wood-Bee Farm for many years. I'm always pleased with the quality and taste of their product. Summer Delight was our choice this time.  Google the address and look carefully for a rather small sign next to the road that says "Local Honey". Usually, just barking dogs greet us from a distance. We've met the owner a few times and it was a good opportunity to say how much we appreciate his business.
