If I lived closer, I would certainly be here more often to shop, meet for coffee, lunch, and so on. There are restaurants, cafés, and bakeries on the premises. You can find whatever you're in the mood for--whether you want something elegant or more casual, or perhaps something trendy. There are plenty of places to sit and sip coffee, eat a sweet pastry, and watch what's going on around you. I love everything about this market! It's incredibly diverse and lively. What a fun place to be! I don't know what else I could add. Perhaps the fact that, for the past two years, I've been buying all the tomatoes for my preserves at this very market. This year, I discovered a stall run by a very friendly person originally from Turkey. It turned out we both love making tomato preserves. To my delight, she even showed me photos of her finished jars! Her tomatoes were delicious! I hope to return to that exact spot next year. What else? For the first time on this side of the ocean, I saw a mushroom stand where you could pick out the specific mushrooms you wanted. On top of that, paper bags were provided--not plastic ones. Perfect! As I've already mentioned, you never quite know what to expect. Every week, you'll see or experience something new. That's why there's no room for boredom.

Adam and I came here this year to go apple picking and we were very happy this is where we picked…read more It was very easy to get to here and when we got in to the entrance there was a list of the apples ready for picking. They ask you which apples you would like to pick and then tell you how to get to those apples. They also give you some heavy duty bags to place your apples in during picking. There is no real parking lot but you can park your car in front of the area that you would like to pick from. We picked gala and janagold apples. There was a large amount available and they were all delicious. We picked a full bag of each kind and all of the apples lasted awhile so I was able to do a large amount of apple baking. When you are finished you drive to the front, all of the apples are weighed and you can pay and be on your way. You must pop your trunk for the weighers whether apples are in there or not so you might as well just keep all of your apples in the trunk. The apples are also fairly cheap. Like I said, we got 2 full bags and paid under $20.00. So much cheaper and tastier than getting them from the grocery store. Overall, we will certainly be back. Park over by the former Sears parking area and bring your raiseable bags. On Saturday's Happy Pickle is there and they are the most amazing pickles - discounts depending on how many you buy. Last week I got a huge butternut squash for $1 and hard to find honeynut squash 2/$1. I have purchased tons of red, green and nappa cabbage more than half off what you would pay at the store. Vendors are helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly. Check the Greece Ridge calendar prior to heading out as this market is not year round - but definitely a place to find great local produce for cheap.
