I ordered some new tires via FixGo.com and had them delivered to Barkley's. I called to set up a time and they said to just swing by. I was a little skeptical, but even though they had several customers arriving at the same time, they got me in immediately. They said it would take about 45 minutes to change the tires and balance them (standard) so I headed across the street for some Starbucks and wandered back 30 minutes later and the work was already done. Used this shop because I bought tires online from FixGo.com (that was a great experience) and they had a ship to shop option which I thought I'd try out. This shop has high ratings, and was close enough, so I thought I'd try them out. So, I brought them the car with rear pads and rotors, and in the process, they told me the front rotors and pads were also no good. While I usually order my own high quality parts, this was my fiancé's car and I opted to let them order and install the pads and rotors so it could be fixed before she started driving it again. Brake pads were not fitting properly on the front (product defect) which they didn't notice before returning the car to me in an unsafe state (it should've been clear, it made an audible knock when driving forward and reversing as the brake pads were shifting forward and back). The tires were put on and aligned, but the steering wheel is not straight and the car doesn't seem perfectly aligned, it doesn't drive fully straight. They charged $225 for front brake rotors and pads installed, and the same $225 for the rear (my trusted shop charges $165 front or rear and does a better job). To their credit, they did replace the faulty front pads and did not try to charge me for it, which is the only reason I'm providing a 2-star instead of a 1-star review. We have a GTI and there are metal GTI brake caliper covers on the front brake calipers; one fell off while we were driving not a few days later and caused damage to that wheel. I have never had this issue before, it wasn't loose before taking it to this shop. If it's the failure of clips or other wearable items, that should've been noted and replaced by this shop. Overall, I am thoroughly unimpressed with my experience with Barkley Tire & Service, and while I'm sure that others have had a better experience, this was very bad for me and I will not be back. read more

They are scammers! Do not trust! Went to get my steering wheel fixed. Ended up with slashed tires. The issue on my steering wheel still wasn't fixed so I took it back. Some how another tire was slashed. They never fixed my issue and I kept getting new problems. So I obviously went somewhere else. When I brought it up they claimed they fired several employees but couldn't help me because they were not there to witness the problems. I sent them all this proof and nothing! Ended up going to Honda for my car and they even told me the part they put it was put in wrong which broke it causing me to have to buy another one. Don't trust them read more

After getting many different opinions on my work van from other shops I decided to pull the trigger and go with Barkley tire shop! I had lost complete hope in getting my work van back and running. It was sitting in my driveway for about three months. I had many mechanics come by so they can diagnose the van and nobody seem to figure out what was wrong with it. I reached out to Barkley and spoke with Loui . After speaking to him back-and-forth over the phone, I decided to get my van towed into his shop. A couple days went by and the diagnostic was that we needed to get a new mortar. that was the last thing I wanted to hear, but I knew it was perfect call . before even recommending that we tried many things to try to get the Van up and running but nothing seemed to be working. Unfortunately, the original motor was compromised due lack of maintenance. so we ended up replacing the motor and they did a fantastic job. The turnaround time was amazing. We ordered a mortar within 24 hours after being told that it needed to be replaced . by the next day the old motor was out of the van. It took a total of three days, including the weekend, which I appreciate because they worked on my van on a Sunday !!!! that's when I realized I made a good decision for someone to work on a Sunday on their day off says a lot ! thank you guys so much. What an amazing find this place is. I needed an AC recharge. My dealership was saying it would be, minimum, one day (and couldn't see me until several days later) and quoted me an astronomical amount. I really didn't want to go all the way out there, be without my car all day and pay out the a$$. I found this place on Yelp and they were 1) super friendly 2) quick to respond 3) transparent about pricing and they stuck to their word. I was in and out in about two hours. This was my first time taking my vehicle to Barkley Tires & Service. I contacted them by text on a Friday to see if they handled one of the three issues I had, since I knew they could do the other two and they were rated highly on both Google and Yelp. They said yes and I was able to make an appointment via text, too - super easy. Dropoff was very quick and I got a call a few hours later with the estimates for the two repairs I needed (a squeak that I thought might be brake pads - it was - and a warning light for the auto stop/start function). I had also asked them to check the tires since I'd been told during an oil change that they were getting pretty worn. Carlos told me that the two in front were down below the recommended tread depth and that the two rear tires were close to that point. He asked if I already had a tire place where I'd like to take them or if I might want an estimate for how much it would be for them to replace the tires. I liked that he gave that as an alternative, instead of making the assumption or using pressure techniques to try to persuade me to have Barkley replace them. I did get a quote, it was reasonable, and so I had them go ahead and change out the tires for new ones. Carlos gave me a discount on labor for one of the repair services I had done, and the price for all three jobs was very fair and far less than what I would have paid if I'd taken it to a dealership. It was also faster. They finished with my vehicle the same day - it was ready by 4pm. The last time I took my minivan in to a dealership, they had it for five days and couldn't even figure out what problem was causing the power loss issue I was experiencing. My brakes lost hydraulic pressure on my way to work, luckily these guys were close to the freeway. I was scared I would need new calipers or a brake line but the mechanic just retightened all the seals on the caliper. Management was very professional. The people that work here are down to earth and top notch. I went here on a whim when I needed to extract the TPMS from our Tesla Gemini wheels and have them installed on our 21" Uberturbines for our Tesla Model Y. I highly recommend this place If you need tires or any work done in regards to alignment. They apparently do work on wheels for curb rash, powder coating and what not. Brought my BMW with M-style wheels. I asked they to replace the rear two tires with those that I brought and to do balancing on all four rims. What I saw after the work shocked me. The worker, instead of removing the old balancing weights with a special liquid, scraped them off with a screwdriver, which mutilated my rims for $ 3,000. When I showed this to the manager, or the owner, he began to show me the small scratches on my wheels and say that I still needed to paint them anyway. Instead of apologies in correspondence, sheer pressure and attempts to put me in a bad light. If your car is dear to you, if you don't want to change tires then paint rims, or fix something else - bypass this place, this is the advice I can give based on my experience with these guys. read more

THANK YOU CHRIS of G&H Auto Body Shop for recommending Barkley Tires!!! My son flew back to LA to find his car battery dead. It was a brand new battery installed by AAA in Oct 2020. The next day we dad an appt. to get new tires on his car, but with a dead battery how do we get the car to the Barkley Tire shop. I explained our situation to Louis, the owner, and this angel of a man came to our rescue. He had one of his guys come to the apt. garage and jump the car. I drove it to the shop and met Louis for the first time. His warm kind personality matched his 5 Star ++++ Customer Service. He reviewed the paperwork and cost. He had another employee drive me back to the apt. I received a call from Louis saying they had to jump start the battery again each time the car needed to be moved and that I might need a new battery. He didn't know it had been replaced in Oct 2020, so I called AAA and they sent a tech to the Barkley Shop. He said the battery was fine, but Louis was nice enough, having more knowledge, to talk with the AAA tech on our behalf, that the right thing to do would be to replace the battery since it was under warranty. The tech called his boss who said no and that was that. Basically if the car battery dies again, then they will replace for free. Louis brought the car down, new tires and all and it looked great !!!!!!! The tires drive like a dream and the job was quick, painless and at a great price too. Awesome tire store in Burbank! My son needed new tires for his Dodge truck. He took it Barkley, they helped him figure out what kind he needed and within a few hours he had a new set. The guys that work there were professional and super helpful. When we dropped the truck off they noticed my tires were low (I'd been ignoring the low tire light for weeks) and they filled them up for me. The shop is new but the mechanics there know their stuff! After having such a good experience with my son, I inquired about new tires for my RV. I had gotten a bid from the place that services my RV, they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg and it was going to take over a week to get done. Barkley was much more affordable and they did it within the day. They also replaced my front breaks which were completely shot. They checked my fluids and topped off my oil (for free). I was postponing replacing the tires, which were 17 years old, because of the expense. This time I had wheel issues and they came up with a solution that saved me thousands of dollars and it was handled in three days! The dealers wanted five weeks. A couple of months ago, my wife and I bought a previously owned CTS Sport Wagon (project) and it needed lots of care. The Barkley team replaced all four tires, and struts to give the car an even tighter, performance ride than factory....and it was very reasonable....and quick.
