Chewbacca gets very anxious during grooming, but the staff at The Barking Spot are incredibly patient with him.

It was our puppy's first experience at a groomer. I was worried to leave her with strangers. But when I went to pick her up, her groomer said she was the sweetest pup. Her haircut came out perfect! Thank you Samantha for treating her with care. She even gave her a cute little purple bow to match her collar. We will definitely be back.

This was the first grooming spot we took our little guy to, & has been a regular since. They treat him well. He's not scared to go in. Knows his human friends that take good care of him. Every now and then they surprise us with a theme bandana and Rocky struts in it every time.

We have been gone to Barking Spot a few times now, and my Peppa loves it. They are super friendly, and has been easy to get appointments. Even same day drop offs for nail trimming. They'll squeeze those services in between their appointments.

Been taking Pepper here so awhile now and we love it! Groomers really accommodate to your likings for the cut and my baby always leaves so happy. My dog stays smelling good for weeks after her groom.

I had a great experience at Barking Spot! They groomed my Frenchie and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. The staff was friendly, professional, and really efficient. My little boy came out smelling amazing (not too strong, which I really appreciate since he has sensitive skin and allergies). His nails were perfectly trimmed, and best of all, he didn't seem stressed at all when I picked him up. You can tell they really care about the dogs. Definitely coming back! read more

My dogs come here to get their baths/grooming and never disappoint when I pick them up. I have a senior mix poodle and they are able to give a good cut if needed. With our corgi, he sheds a lot so they are do great at de shedding. If you call, sometimes they don't answer but they are great at via text message and will be able to respond fairly quickly. Great at answering questions and booking appointments through via text. Give Barking Spot a try for your fur babies! read more

My dog's belly was shaved for absolutely no reason!!! We have been growing her hair for 2 years now since she was diagnosed with thyroid disease. We specified no trimming at the sani area but instead they shaved around the sani area plus extending it to her belly. Why? Animal cruelty as you never shave a Husky to begin with. If you schedule with a specific groomer, they will not let you know if that groomer is not going to be there to for you to reschedule. The first bad experience, I let go. This one, I could not. We love our doggy, and when wanted to find a place that was a good fit for us and for her. We all know the sad horror stories other pet owners have had. We have been bringing our pup here for 2.5 years. Kima arrives at The Barking Spot and happy to go into the back when it's grooming day with Sammi. She is also happy when we're there to pick her up. It's easy to book online, too. I feel a groomer, like a hair stylist, may also take a little bit to find what works. Kima went to another groomer as a puppy and she did not look herself. Lol. We love her puppy cuts and that she comes home happy and smelling fabulous! We don't plan on taking her anywhere else, so we're glad we live close by! Usually busy when I call, I managed to get an appointment for a couple days later. Vanessa looked after our 6 month old pup. It was an introductory bath service, so I can't speak for hair trimming etc. He was stanky and energetic when we arrived and he was still energetic when I picked him three hours later but smelt and looked so much better. From the moment we spoke, she was kind, caring, and incredibly helpful. When I arrived, she examined the dog's coat and clearly explained the process and services included. The prices were great--especially considering all the services included with the full grooming (bath, haircut, nail trimming, and more). I was honestly surprised at how reasonable the price was. On top of that, due to the circumstances, they even gave me a discount to help my elderly neighbor. That truly says a lot about their character and their business. They are so sweet and caring with the dogs. I highly recommend them to anyone--you won't regret it!"

I was put in an exam room, shortly after a tech came in to ask preliminary questions. She said Dr Kazumi would be in after a few minutes. At 1:30, I went to the front desk to find out the delay. No one came in to say there was an ongoing issue which delayed the Dr. She came in at 1:40 and said there was a procedure which took longer than expected. No apology for the delay. She then did a 5 min exam which consisted of telling me what vaccines were coming up. No physical check of the eyes, ears, teeth, abdomen, joints etc. My pup has gained 10 pounds since she saw her 1 year ago, no questions about her diet or what could be recommended. For this I had to pay $74 for a "non" examination. I received no response when I questioned what was included in an examination. I'm afraid the office is turning into an assembly line much like the corporate owned vet clinics. I couldn't wait for the staff to give me my Rabies certificate but was told they would email me the paperwork. 2 hours later I returned to pick up the paperwork because it was never sent. I have 3 dogs registered with this facility and know it's going to be awkward when I have to return in a month for their follow up exams/vaccines. In the past the service has never been this disjointed. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I'm wondering if their growth is at the expense of the service I was use to receiving.

During this most recent visit, we picked up a probiotic for our Aussie Shepard pup, got allergy shots for our mini-schnauzers and met with Dr Urbina to check our schnauzers tail that's been bothering her. Dr Urbina is well trained, knowledgeable and doesn't pressure us with options like other vets. Their vet techs (we love Breanna) are so caring and helpful too. Other procedures we've had done for our pups: dental cleanings, x-rays, biopsies, and when our schnauzer had pancreatitis (so scary!), we came here to have daytime water drip when we finished at the Emergency vet overnight. Parking- it's street parking but we always find a spot. It's nice to have all the grass because when our pups are nervous, we'll take them around the grassy area before the appointment. I recently had the misfortune of taking my pet to Barking Spot for a grooming session and I must say, it was one of the worst experiences I've had at a pet grooming business. The groomer completely botched my dog's haircut, leaving it uneven and with visible knots throughout. It was as if they didn't even bother to properly groom my pet. What's worse, the manager was completely unprofessional and rude when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the service. I had made an appointment and made it clear that I wanted my pet to receive the best possible care, but the manager responded with a sarcastic remark that showed complete disregard for my concerns. To make matters even worse, it seems that the business has recently undergone a change of ownership and the new owner is completely absent. The staff refused to provide me with any information about how to reach the new owner to make him aware of the mishandling of his business. Overall, I would not recommend Barking Spot to anyone who cares about their pet's well-being and wants a professional and courteous grooming experience. There are plenty of other pet grooming businesses out there that provide much better service and take pride in their work. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs. read more

1-Star Review: Extremely Disappointed With The Barking Spot Dog Groomers My experience at The Barking Spot Dog Groomers was unbelievably frustrating from start to finish. The lack of communication is astounding--no timely updates, no clear instructions, and no courtesy call when issues came up. To make matters worse, they provided misinformation about their hours, which caused major inconvenience when planning pickup. They also force customers into inconvenient pickup times, even when those times don't align with what they originally tell you and what's listed online/on the store front. I was text their "systems were down," meaning they expected cash-only payment, but still insisted I arrive before their incorrect closing time they had given me earlier. It felt unprofessional and completely disorganized. Overall, they were inconsiderate of my schedule and commitments, and gave the impression that customers should rearrange their entire day to accommodate the business's inconsistencies. I will absolutely not be returning and cannot recommend this place to anyone who values clear communication, reliability, or basic respect for their time. read more

i have been going to my vet's groomer and petco off and on for the past 2 years. I was never fully happy with the results. I reached out to friends and one recommended me here. I was blown away by how amazing they left both of my dogs, especially my poodle. it is my first time owning a poodle and have not been able to get a hang of the daily grooming. he was so matted (poor baby) and i knew they needed to shave him. he looks so great and now I am goinr to become a more responsible poodle owner and maintain his coat better. thank you for taking care of my two babies. read more

I can't say enough good things about Barking Spot! They exceeded my expectations with the detailed schnauzer cut I requested for my pup. Not only did the grooming turn out perfect, but my dog actually enjoyed the experience, which says a lot about the care and attention the staff provide.
