I started taking my little guy weekly for Micro Bubble Baths for his skin allergies and now they handle all his grooming needs. I tease he goes to the Spa weekly and trust me, he loves it. i came to fishtown to try something new for my pup... i scheduled an appointment over 2 weeks ago…read more my appointment was then canceled and i was forced to reschedule. i came in and drop my dog off today at his rescheduled time which was 1pm. he is a very small dog so he doesn't require much time. i was never give a time for pick up. i called them after wait 2 hours and they still never gave me a pick up time until i started pressing the employee for one. she came back on the line and told me it would be another 2 and half hours. for a small poodle/Pomeranian mix to be with a groomer for 4+ hours is insane. i was then connected to the store owner who was very rude and disrespectful. i told her what happen and she then decided to tell me that they are training another groomer which is why they are taking long as well as juggling other dog. from what i have learned about ham + bone fishtown is that they overbook dogs which takes longer for them to actually get groomed. they had one groomer downstairs when i went to talk to her with one in training. i told her this isn't the first time this has happened from other reviews i have read and after calling her out on the issue said "i'm not going to let you slander my business" and hung up the phone on me. terrible place, don't waste your money or your time here. very unprofessional behavior coming from a store owner! she also demanded that i come pick up my dog in the condition he is in currently which is not groomed! he got in my car with a wet butt and head. this resulted in wet poop getting on my car.

If you are enrolled in daycare, they also offer boarding, and are generally pretty flexible and accommodating, though space is definitely limited. I highly recommend Ruff Life. I know that dog school has like 5 locations and makes a nice instagram feed, but the friendliness and flexibility of the ruff life staff really sets them apart. We felt so safe with our dog at Dominique Paws, she was so careful with our older dog, picked her up so she wouldn't hurt her bad back, and was quick yet in control to get the nails clipped as short as possible and ground down so they aren't sharp. Brittany, who groomed her, did a fantastic job - cleaned her up without robbing her of her cuteness. When I picked her up, she was happy, no longer had hair covering her eyes, and had been tidied up all over. She also smelled delicious. Everyone at this place was friendly, welcoming, and clearly loves pets. Super glad we found them - we'll 100% be bringing Moxxie back. Oh - and if it matters to you, I believe this is a black-owned business (an extra bonus in my book.)
