When we finally sought a second opinion at another veterinary hospital, we were informed that he had advanced stomach cancer as well as kidney disease. We were devastated to learn that it was too late for effective treatment and had to make the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep. What makes this even more upsetting is that after losing our dog, we continue to receive repeated calls regarding the remaining balance from the last visit.
